“I was so relaxed on holiday’s knowing my high energy Shepard was in Terri’s care. I am certainly booking again in the future with Terri!!! Thank you for the peace of mind!”

About: 💛 I'm a life-long dog owner/dog lover! I work remotely so your dog will have constant companionship and will never be left alone. Whether they want to play out in the spacious and fenced-in yard, go on walks around town, or just relax inside, they'll be treated like family. 💛 Because I work remotely, your dog will have someone nearby for attention, play-time and potty breaks all day long. 💛 I have a sweet senior (female) dog of my own and a lifetime of experience with aging pups. My own dog is super gentle and friendly, making my home a calm, welcoming environment. My dog and I go on several leashed walks per day varying in length of time and dependent on weather; usually first thing in the morning, at around lunch time, after 4 and in the early evening. I have a large, fully fenced yard where your dog can be free to run around under supervision. Because my dog like to wander, we go on several leashed walks per day.
“Odessa was amazing and we would definitely use her again. She was very flexible and accommodating with our needs especially for pick up/drop off times. She sent us a lot of pictures and we felt very comfortable having her watch our little Henri. You can tell that she has a great love for dogs and really enjoys spending time with them. Would recommend her to anyone needing a dog sitter in that area!”

About: Loved animals from early on. Patience and care with them while owners are away is something I can provide. Will treat them like family. Happy to help the animals. I work part time only a few hours a day, so I will help the animals with the rest of my free time. I will be able to take dogs for walkswith my dogs, or alone if necessary. I will closely and accurately follow the instructions that are left for me so that the pets have consistency of care they would expect from their own owners until Mom or dad comes to be with them again.

“So grateful to find Stacey and Patchen! Meet & greet was awesome, and it actually felt like leaving my pup with an old friend. I didn’t have great cell service where I was, but I felt like Khali was in great hands, and was so appreciative to see photos and updates when I could. I’m so relieved to know there’s a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and dependable sitter in the area now. Thank you guys!!”

“Lisa was so great from the moment we met her. She sent us lots of photos and updates throughout our dogs stay, and although we did have a small issue of our dog showing some aggression towards another dog she was happy to accommodate him until we were able to arrange a pick up . Would highly recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Osoyoos
Our Papillon, Archie, really enjoyed himself at Teri’s! Teri was very flexible and accommodated us on short notice while we were on vacation, which we really appreciated. We were looking for a small dog place, and an experienced sitter. Teri’s many years of experience were in evidence in how she handled introductions. She is very well set up both inside (large living space, ability to separate some dogs if needed) and outside (multiple fenced in green areas). Archie enjoyed meeting her 3 small dogs in particular. We had absolutely no concern about leaving him and when we picked him up he was so tired from all that fun that he immediately went to sleep in the car!

Kendall is truly the best ❤️ it was the first time I’d been away from my pup for more than a week and it was such a comfort knowing he was so well taken care of. Kendall did so much to make his stay with her fun, loads of different locations for walks and play dates. She also did so much to make him comfortable in her home, moving his bed around to his favourite sunny spots or extra cuddly blankets on the couch. I hope Phil will be able to stay with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
