About: Hi! My name is Tamanna, a lifelong animal lover located in downtown Halifax. I have grown up with animals and truly believe the journey of life is so much happier with a pet by our side. I grew up surrounded by animals—dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs—and often found myself pet-sitting for friends long before I made it official! These days, I’m a proud cat mom to two wonderful rescue cats, Sophie and Simba, who completely rule my heart. Whether I’m hiding treats for cats to discover, playing fetch with dogs, or just enjoying a quiet cuddle session, spending time with animals is one of the things I love most. My job is entirely remote, so I am quite flexible during weekdays. I can easily pop in for a doggy walk or feed and play with the cats. I am also open during weekends if I have a week's notice. I’m unable to provide boarding for dogs due to my apartment restrictions, however, I’m more than happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. When house-sitting, I always take the time to understand your home’s rules and any boundaries you’ve set for your pet. Whether it’s where they’re allowed to go, how they’re fed, or daily rituals you’ve built together, I do my best to maintain that same structure. About: I have dog shelter experience from 2018 (for 1 year) and I've been volunteering at the SPCA in Dartmouth since January 2024. I'm trained to understand dogs behaviours and needs. I grew up with small breed dogs, but I have the time, patience, and energy to work with any breed. I have dog-sat for neighbours and family members over the years, and I regularly walk my neighbour's pitbull. I'm able to brush, trim nails, and administer medication by request. I'm self employed and make my own schedule. I usually only work 4-5 hours in the afternoons so I'm free most mornings and evenings to care for your pets! I will follow any rules and diet you have in place pertaining to your home and pets. Your privacy and your pet's well-being are always my top priority.

Daniel and Marie are both lovely, caring humans who took excellent care of my little dog, Mimi! They came to meet her in advance (which I super appreciated!), sent me photo updates of how things were going, and overall took excellent care. Mimi is leash-reactive and they are experienced with this, and I had no concerns or worries at all leaving her in their care. She is an elderly rescue and can sometimes be quite timid with new people, but she was belly-up asking for scratches and belly rubs within minutes of getting to know them! I wouldn't hesitate to book them again :)

Hannah provided amazing care for our two large, rambunctious dogs and our cat while we were away for over a week. We came home to happy, tired dogs and a tidy house, which is all we could ask for and more!
