About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I currently work as an Animal Control Officer and also volunteer with animal rescues, so I’m deeply familiar with animal behavior, safety, and care. I’ve dedicated my life to helping animals—whether it’s rescuing strays, fostering in need, or simply giving them the love and attention they deserve. I offer reliable, compassionate pet sitting and walking services tailored to each pet’s needs. Whether your pet is playful, shy, or needs special attention, I’m patient and understanding. I treat every pet as if they were my own, and my goal is always to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Why Choose Me? • Experience with dogs, cats, and animals with behavioral or medical needs • Animal Control Officer – trained in safety, handling, and emergency care • Volunteer animal rescuer • Calm, caring, and trustworthy • Fluent in Portuguese and English Let’s chat and see how I can help your furry friend feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away! Pet care is a part of my everyday life—it’s more than just a job, it’s who I am. As an Animal Control Officer, I work daily with animals in all kinds of situations, always ensuring their safety and well-being. Outside of work, I volunteer with local rescues and foster animals whenever I can, so my routine naturally revolves around feeding, walking, grooming, and giving pets the love and attention they need. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening cuddles, caring for animals is built into my schedule. I’m used to handling everything from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a gentler touch, and I always make sure each one gets the time and care they deserve. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or yours. With my background as an Animal Control Officer and experience in rescue work, I’m trained to recognize stress signals, prevent accidents, and handle emergencies calmly and quickly. In your home, I always follow your pet’s usual routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I respect your space, keep things clean, and provide regular updates so you feel confident and connected while you’re away. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, they’ll have a calm, pet-friendly environment with lots of love, supervision, and structure. I never leave pets unsupervised outdoors and make sure everyone gets the attention, play, and rest they need. Your pet’s happiness and safety are always my mission.

About: I grew up surrounded by lots of animals and learned the proper way to love and care for pets. I currently have 2 goldendoodles of my own, both of which I've trained from puppies and one that I trained to be a certified therapy dog to come with me on volunteer projects. We love playing and going on walks, and your pup can either join or get some solo attention. My dogs are family, and I will treat your furbabies the same! I currently work from home, so my schedule is fairly flexible. I'll have plenty of time to come play, go for walks, exercise, etc. throughout the day. I would prefer set schedules but can pick up additional time with your furbabies on the weekends. I know how stressful it can be finding reliable and trustworthy care for your pets so I'm looking to provide that to other pet owners. I would love to visit your home and make sure your pets are getting the love and attention they deserve throughout the day.

Evan did a great job with our large (3 cats and 2 dogs) menagerie for a week. Pets were well cared for and even though I had some pretty specific feeding instructions, Evan handled it perfectly. Communication was exceptional, and everything with the house was great when we got home. Honestly, no notes. I highly recommend Evan and will book again in the future.

Audrey is really an amazing petsitter. All of our pets adored her and she provided all the care and attention we could ask for. She clearly loves animals and treats them like her own. She was not only attentive to our pets but very clean and considerate in and around our home while we were away: bringing in all mail and packages, doing "poop patrol" (without behind asked!), bringing out the trash, following all instructions to a T, and leaving the house super tidy at the end of the week with ZERO surprises. Our dogs and cats were well taken care of and, when we got home, were sad to see her go. Traveling and leaving your pets behind can be an extremely stressful ordeal. No matter how much you screen a petsitter, in the end, you're putting a huge amount of trust in someone you just met. It can be a big leap of faith. You always pray that it works out, the pets are in good hands and your house won't burn to the ground while you're gone. Having a trustworthy petsitter who does a great job is one less thing to worry about so you can enjoy peace on mind on your trip and the pets' stress is minimized. We are so thrilled to have found Audrey on Rover and hope to rely on her many more times in the future. Highly recommended!

I value quality play time & keeping clean. Currently finishing my degree at RWU and working part time in the evenings, I am able to easily fit your pet into my day-2-day routine. I highly recommend Megan! From our first meet and greet, it was apparent to me that she had a love of animals. She was prompt to our appointment, calm and gentle with the pets and asked great questions. Megan house sat for us and took care of our three senior pets, two cats and a dog. Our 16 year old dog can be apprehensive with change as he was a rescue dog at the age of 14. It was important for us to keep him comfortably in our home, and Megan took great care and went the extra mile when he had a couple of accidents. She sent us photos and updates while we were gone. We would definitely rebook with Megan in the future.

About: Knowing your pets are a part of your family, its my intentions to provide an opportunity for your pet to at its best. That means learning your pets personality and needs. My Career also entails skills with animals care specifically for sick animals, not that I am veterinary doctor, meaning I help deal with acute health issues. Being a good listener and observer due to my Scientific Career it's only a matter of time before you realize that you pet just might be excited to visit, and even more happier to return to you. Thanks for asking. My work has very set routine. Therefore when I start a project I know the days that I am available throughout its completion due to having to let processes develop on their own. So I am able to designate time for pet sitting in a routine manner and flexible manner. If I know my clients needs, I can adjust my work accordingly. Thanks for asking. My apartment is definitely animal friendly, with only on carpeted room. I will always notify the owner or any health issue, and with coordinate with the owner emergency protocols. Outside, there is a waterfront your pet can visit for walks, large yards that the pet can explore, and even an enclosed area where your pet can be unleashed so they can get a chance to roam free if ever necessary. As far as individual animal routines for food and walks are concerned, I would only take on a job if I was able to provide the animal with its precise schedule. I find animals are more confident when they know what to expect. Thanks for asking.

We couldn't be happier with the care Allison provided and will definitely be looking to book with her again.

About: I have always been a go-to to dog and cat sit for friends and family that needed to know their fur babies would be safe. Whether it was for a check-in or staying over an extended period, the animals would be first priority. I am a remote worker with a semi-flexible schedule that allows me to care for your pet at any hour. I can generally work around any schedule that your pet needs. Any specific care that your pet needs will be adhered to. I ensure that the pups will be under great supervision and kept entertained. Walks and anything else needed will be taken care of as well.

Jonathan took fantastic care of both our dog, Winston, and our house! I would highly recommend him as a pet/house sitter. He took Winston on very long walks, sent daily photos and updates, and kept us informed on Winston's well-being during our absence. We knew Winston was well cared for, and therefore we had no concerns while we were away. Jonathan gave us peace of mind that our "baby" was just fine.

FAQs for House Sitting - Bristol

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Bristol on Rover is $88.8 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 1,529 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bristol. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bristol walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bristol maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bristol choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bristol. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
