“Our dog, Noddle, is a cherished member of our family; Patricia treated him the same way. From the initial meeting, Patricia's genuine love of and experience with a variety of animals was obvious. Noodle took to her right away. From the photos including walks on the beach and playtime in addition to the messages she regularly sent us, we could tell that he was happy and pampered. We feel completely comfortable and enthusiastic recommending Patricia and will engage her again. She is great. Lucky Noodle. Lucky us.”

Even when Kharma had to stay really late, they were incredibly accommodating and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. It truly gives me peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. At this point, Armitage is the first sitter I call every time without hesitation. I honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else with Kharma. The level of care, consistency, and genuine love they show means everything to me.”

“Paige is friendly, professional and her lovely home is set up perfectly for pet sitting. She sent me daily updates including pictures of her kids loving up my precious pup. I felt completely at ease knowing that he was well taken care of since she has 4 children who were all respectful and great kids!”

“I'm fortunate to have found Celina when I needed a pet sitter for the weekend! It was a pleasure meeting them, as they were kind and understanding when I expressed my concerns about Otto and leaving him in a new environment. I liked that they spend the time to get to know me and my pup before committing. Smokey is also a great pup, he's so sweet and clever and it was great watching him adapt his play with Otto. It's also clear that Celina and Smokey have a great relationship and love each other a bunch. They do great with establishing boundaries and advocating for the pups when it's needed. Celina also sent me photos of Otto's stay, which were all adorable to see! Communication was easy and simple, which I'm very appreciative of. Overall, it was a great experience working with them and I will definitely book again :)”

She was very communicative regarding some trouble. One of my dogs got into at no fault of her own. It all worked out wonderfully because of her care and attention, and the dogs continued their boarding experience in style. About: I’ve loved cats since I was young; I prefer their company and personality over most humans! In terms of my experience, I’ve been taking care of cats (my own and others) for over ten years. My older cat who passed away a few years ago (Jasmine), lived to be 18. She’s pictured above with me (often grumpy and very blind). As a senior cat, she required special care and treatment, which included administering medication and catering to her health issues. Everywhere I go, a cat somehow always finds me! In a neighborhood in my college town, I have befriended all six of the outdoor cats. I also volunteer at an animal rescue in Rhode Island, and I really enjoy keeping the kitties company.

About: Cats have always held a special place in my heart. I grew up with a cat in my home and understand the unique bond that comes with caring for a feline companion. Over the years, I've also helped care for friends' cats, providing check-ins, companionship, playtime, and making sure their routines are followed while their families are away. I know that every cat has their own personality and comfort level. Some cats love attention and playtime right away, while others need a little patience and space before they warm up. I enjoy taking the time to meet cats where they are, whether that means a fun play session, keeping them company, refreshing their food and water, cleaning their litter box, or simply providing a calm presence in their home. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. I will treat your cat with the same care and respect I would want for my own pets and will make sure you receive updates and photos so you can feel confident that your cat is happy and cared for while you're away.

“Lindsey was great! She was always right on time with checking in and very responsive. I got lots of photos which I loved and she was awesome with letting me know everything was good while we were away. She was easy to work with especially when our plans changed last minute. Most importantly we came home to a happy cat!! Thank you again!”

“Holly shares great updates and lots of pictures. I looked forward to receiving their report card everyday and it seemed like they were having their own vacation while I was away!”

About: Knowing your pets are a part of your family, its my intentions to provide an opportunity for your pet to at its best. That means learning your pets personality and needs. My Career also entails skills with animals care specifically for sick animals, not that I am veterinary doctor, meaning I help deal with acute health issues. Being a good listener and observer due to my Scientific Career it's only a matter of time before you realize that you pet just might be excited to visit, and even more happier to return to you. Thanks for asking. My work has very set routine. Therefore when I start a project I know the days that I am available throughout its completion due to having to let processes develop on their own. So I am able to designate time for pet sitting in a routine manner and flexible manner. If I know my clients needs, I can adjust my work accordingly. Thanks for asking. My apartment is definitely animal friendly, with only on carpeted room. I will always notify the owner or any health issue, and with coordinate with the owner emergency protocols. Outside, there is a waterfront your pet can visit for walks, large yards that the pet can explore, and even an enclosed area where your pet can be unleashed so they can get a chance to roam free if ever necessary. As far as individual animal routines for food and walks are concerned, I would only take on a job if I was able to provide the animal with its precise schedule. I find animals are more confident when they know what to expect. Thanks for asking.
“Isabel and her family took care of our cat, Max, for about 2 weeks while we were traveling. He was so calm when we picked him up, I think he didn't want to leave! She kept us updated every few days with pictures letting us know how Max was doing. Next time we're in need of a cat sitter in Rhode Island, we're contacting Isabel!”

“Amber is the best! She took care of our 3 cats while we were gone. She sent us pictures and updates every day. We will definitely ask her to watch our pets for us again next time we’re away. Thank you!”

“I was worried about booking through Rover but am so glad I did! She accommodated my last minute booking when the family friend sitter fell through. Sarah did a great job with my very high maintenance dog. She sent me pictures and kept me updated the whole time. My dog needed a special anal gland treat because of her health issues and Sarah was patient and kind giving it to her. Unfortunately, my dog has accidents often but Sarah was understanding and cleaned it up. I seriously think my floor is cleaner now than it was before.”

As a Shiba Inu owner, I know that every dog (and cat!) has their own personality, quirks, and comfort level. “Audrey was great right from the meet and greet and on! Millie, who is usually very timid, warmed up to her in seconds. Audrey was a great support walking my dog while a family member who can no longer walk her far watched her. She was extremely punctual and great with communicating all aspects of their walks. Highly recommend.”

About: Although I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to caring for pets. I've provided pet sitting and drop-in care for friends and friends of friends, giving me experience with dogs and cats of different personalities, routines, and energy levels. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. Owning my own dog has taught me the value of patience, enrichment, positive interactions, and paying attention to each dog's individual personality and needs. I know every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and what helps them feel comfortable and happy. I'm an active person who genuinely enjoys getting outside for walks and adventures, and I love making sure dogs have the opportunity to explore, sniff, and enjoy their time outside at their own pace. Whether your dog loves a longer adventure walk, a game of fetch, or simply some extra companionship, I'll make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. For cats and more relaxed pets, I'm just as happy spending quality time keeping them company, playing with their favorite toys, or providing a calm and comforting presence while you're away. My goal is simple: to provide dependable, compassionate care so you can leave knowing your pet is safe, happy, and treated like one of my own. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I currently have a flexible summer schedule, which allows me to be available for walks, drop-in visits, and check-ins on a variety of days and times. I enjoy being able to provide pets with attention, exercise, and companionship when their families need an extra hand. Once the school year begins, my availability will become more structured as I return to teaching, but I will continue to update my schedule and communicate clearly to make sure I can provide reliable care for the pets I commit to. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member and your home, and I take that responsibility seriously. Before each visit or walk, I will take the time to learn your pet's routine, personality, and any specific needs or preferences. I believe every pet is different, and I want to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. I understand that some dogs may be nervous, shy, or need extra patience when experiencing new people, places, or situations. I will always take the time to build trust, pay attention to their body language, and adjust my approach based on what helps them feel safe and confident. For walks, I focus on creating a safe and enjoyable experience by paying attention to your dog's energy level, surroundings, and comfort. Whether your dog enjoys an energetic adventure or a slower walk with plenty of time to sniff and explore, I will follow their pace and needs. During drop-in visits, I will treat your home with the same respect I would want for my own. I will follow your instructions carefully, keep your pet's routine consistent, and provide updates with photos and messages so you can feel confident knowing they are happy and cared for. My goal is to create a safe, positive experience for both you and your pet—giving you peace of mind while your furry friend enjoys some extra love and attention.

About: Hello! This is my first time using Rover/pet sitting outside of my family and I’m very excited to meet new and adorable animals! I have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I am also a quick learner willing and eager to take care of nearly any kind of pet (reptiles, birds, fish) if necessary! My mom was a vet most of my life, so much of my experience and knowledge has come from watching her take care of our pets. I am not medically trained in any capacity, I have just had a wide range of experience with dogs and cats. I have my own car and I am currently unemployed. I’m available in the afternoons after 1 on weekdays and pretty much anytime on weekends! Contact me anytime for my availability! Safety is paramount when it comes to your furry (or hairless) friends! Whether outside on walks, in the yard, or even inside; I will be sure to have eyes on your animal and the environment at all times. I have had several negative experiences with my own dogs on leashes and I feel comfortable putting myself in between both my animals and yours and whatever may try to harm them.
“Sheridyn was so helpful with a last minute request when our regular walker couldn't make it. She was able to flex with our plans and sent lots of pictures and notes. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Alexandria is great with my dog, Teddy. She walked him often this summer and was flexible with my changing work schedule. The neighbor even told me that he was much better behaved with her than with me. She was really good about listening to him when he was nervous or too hot and taking him back home to be comfortable.”

“I was in need of last minute care for Rocky and I sent a request out to a bunch of people. Amanda responded immediately and was willing to help! She made sure she understood the care instructions I provided and took him on a great walk, and most importantly he loved her. I’ll definitely be using Amanda again after the holidays.”

About: I currently work at the Newport Navy Base at All Paws On Deck doggie day care. I have been there for about a year and am currently one of the lead staff members there taking care of the dogs. I have learned so much on dog behavior and safety. Since working there it has ignited an interest to become a dog trainer. The joy that dogs bring to my life has been so rewarding and I love every minute of my job and being with all my furry friends. I have grown up with always having a dog in my life and had parents that instilled responsibility that came along with it. I have watched and been responsible for friends and neighbors dogs when a helping hand is needed. My up bringing with always having a dog was that they are not just an animal but another member of the family and have to be treated as such. I have been very lucky to have had grown up with amazing dogs. I have rescued 2 beautiful greyhounds that were former racers in Florida. This particular breed is my passion due to the challenges it gives to teach them how to transition from the track to home life. This breed typically has never been inside a home and needs to be taught everything! Stairs, Windows, glass sliding doors, furniture, a yard, trust, and having her own toys and bed. This has taught me so much on how to relate to the dog and learn how they see life. My life currently when im not working is spending time with my family and enjoying the "island life" in Portsmouth. It is my husband and I along with our two boys and Anita (my greyhound). I work part time at the doggie day care. My availability time is flexible. I work half days so im available in the morning or afternoon depending on the day. I will respect the clients home and their pets boundaries and needs. I see it as entering their safe space and would not want them to feel that I am there to change that or threaten that.
About: Owned dogs entire life, have trained rescue dogs, and have experience in providing senior care for dogs. My dog is diabetic so I also have experience with insulin injections and oral medication. I have a fenced in backyard and many toys for dogs to play with! I am able to board and care for dogs throughout the weeks due to flexibility in my schedule. I am also willing to let your dog out when available, and help in any way I can! I will make sure the dogs are loved and shown affection, played with, walked, and taken care of as needed. I will always make sure the dogs are happy, have water at all times, toys to play with, etc.
“Lindsey did great with Ellie, our rescue dog. Our dog has separation anxiety and is very reluctant to leave the house with some she doesn’t know. Lindsey was very patient with Ellie and won her confidence. Lindsey didn’t give up on walking her and gave Ellie support and encouragement. We will definitely use Lindsey again. She is a dog lover❤️she arrived as promised, kept us well informed and is Excellent!!!”

“Megan is an exemplary dog companion. Gidget loves her, and I always trust Megan to be professional, friendly and prompt. Megan is also flexible considerate of time. I highly recommend her.”

“We’ve been lucky enough to have Hunter come a couple times a week for the past few weeks and help us take care of our Hank. SHE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! She takes Hank out on adventures and sends awesome pictures and videos documenting what they do. We are forever grateful for Rover for connecting us with Hunter!”

I love going on walks and spending time with dogs, and I’m also a dog mom myself to a dachshund back home in Texas I'm home for the summer from school and have pretty open availability, which means I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m flexible throughout the day and can easily adjust to meet the needs of different pets and schedules—whether that’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime. Taking care of animals is something I truly enjoy, so it fits naturally into my routine this summer. I only provide care in the client’s home, which I find helps pets feel more comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. When I’m in someone’s home, I treat it with the same respect I would my own. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding routines, walk schedules, playtime preferences, and any special needs or medications. I make sure pets get lots of attention, exercise, and affection, and I always do my best to keep them happy and stress-free while their owners are away. Communication is important to me, so I’m happy to send updates and photos during visits as well!

About: Here to help you and your best buds! I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, so caring for them comes very naturally to me. On top of that, I volunteer at dog shelters, which has given me experience with a wide range of temperaments—from shy and anxious dogs to very energetic ones. That’s helped me become really patient, attentive, and good at reading a dog’s behavior and needs. I love keeping dogs active and happy! Activities can include walks around the neighborhood, playtime in the yard, games like fetch or tug-of-war, and lots of attention and companionship. I always tailor activities to each dog’s energy level and personality—whether that means a long walk, light play, or just relaxing and cuddling. I have experience caring for many different dogs with a wide range of energy levels and personalities. While I’m new to Rover, I’ve worked with dogs through other platforms and feel very comfortable adjusting to each dog’s needs. If your dog is in training, I’m happy to reinforce those routines so they stay consistent! I’m especially comfortable with puppies and senior dogs. I understand the consistency and structure puppies need when it comes to routines, basic training, and reinforcing good habits. With senior dogs, I’m very gentle and mindful of their pace, mobility, and any special care instructions, including medications if needed. What really sets me apart is how much I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I don’t just “watch” them—I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. I treat every dog like they’re my own. Pet care fits really naturally into my routine. I’m currently a part-time nursing student and usually do my schoolwork from home, so I have a flexible schedule and can give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m able to take breaks for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins, so your pet won’t be left alone for long periods. Being home most of the time also allows me to stick closely to their normal routine and provide consistent care. Additionally, I work part-time in the emergency room just 5 minutes from my home, which allows me to provide consistent check-ins throughout the day or night. I’m able to take breaks for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins, so your pet won’t be left alone for long periods. I have a fully fenced yard and a 2-year-old neutered Cockapoo named Tobey, who truly thinks every dog he meets is his best friend. He’s super friendly, playful, and loves having other pups around to keep him company. I live with my parents, who are just as obsessed with animals as I am, so your dog will basically have a whole team of people giving them attention, love, and check-ins all day long. Between all of us, your pup will never feel bored or alone! I will treat and respect your home the same way I would want someone to treat mine, and I will care for your dog as if they were my own.

“I had a last minute emergency and Erica came through for us. Very kind and loving family. It is obvious how much affection they have for animals. Daisy did great and I never worried about her for a moment. It was a good experience for us.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Armitage. They take such amazing care of Kharma every single time.

And while he didn't leave the house for walks, she has an adequate fenced in yard and he was able to come in and out of the house freely. I felt completely at ease knowing that he was well taken care of since she has 4 children who were all respectful and great kids!”

“Your dog is in great hands with Malerie and her family. They treated my pup as she was thier own. She provided photos and videos the whole time. I would use her again in a heart beat”

“Mary was wonderful! It was our first time leaving our dog more than two nights (prior times with family) and she gave our golden all the love and he had a blast with the other dogs there! It was like a mini vacation for him and gave us great ease knowing he was being well cared for in the comfort of a nice home. Thanks again Mary!”

“Natalia was great about sending pictures and videos of my dog while I was away. It was our first time leaving her and she helped put my mind at ease, and it made my kids happy to know their dog was well taken care of!”

“I can’t recommend Addison enough—I’d give 10 stars. She is incredibly sweet, caring, and always responsive, which makes the entire experience stress-free. My dog Luna absolutely loves spending time with her, and it’s clear that Addison genuinely cares about the dogs. Whenever I’m away, I have complete peace of mind knowing Luna is in such great hands. Addison consistently goes above and beyond, and it really shows in how happy and comfortable Luna is when she’s with her. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy and attentive to care for your pet, Addison is the one.”

“Amanda, Thank you for taking care of our big pup, Roscoe!! He had a great stay and by the photos sent - he felt 100% at home. We will most definitely rebook the next time! Thanks!!! Sheila”

“Stephanie did a wonderful job with my two dogs while I was out of town for several nights. I got multiple pictures each day. They were in her care and they got plenty of exercise. She was very communicative regarding some trouble. One of my dogs got into at no fault of her own. It all worked out wonderfully because of her care and attention, and the dogs continued their boarding experience in style. I would definitely use Stephanie again next time I go out of town, as I highly recommend her.”

“Absolutely fantastic experience. We needed a last minute sitter and they were responsive and accommodating. Our doc is skittish but they seemed to make him a part of their family while he was with them. And their dogs are so friendly and cute to pets and people alike. Janay and Antonio will be our fort choice pet sitting from now on!”

“I am so grateful for Isabel's care of Oliver! Oliver was in good hands with her. Isabel helped take care of Oliver during a difficult time of my life. I feel incredibly blessed to have had a petsitter like her and did not need to worry about Oliver during my sickness. She was very responsive and great to work with. Oliver always comes back happy and healthy.”

“Danielle was fantastic! She suggested meeting up before our trip so that we could meet and Pretzel could get familiar with her house, which I really appreciated. She was super communicative while we were away and sent lots of photos and videos. Our dog was all smiles in every picture; I could tell they were having a blast together. 10/10 would recommend Danielle and I absolutely plan on contacting her again the next time we go away.”
