I look forward to getting outside for lots of walks at any time of day. We do not have any pets or children. Our home is clean and secure. We have a deck and a dog gate. We have a yard that is not yet fenced in, but we have plans to put up a fence. We have plenty of parks and trails nearby for fun and enriching walks. About: Hi! My name is Ali and the TLDR is I wanna help you spoil your pups (and other pets) with lots of walks and love! I'll spend the extra time to rub their bellies, play fetch or tug, let them sniff every blade of grass until they say it's enough. And I'll work with you support any training, socialization or routines you have. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life from the time I was a child--I currently have a 6 year old Standard Poodle, Leo, and regularly care for my mom’s miniature dachshund, Sadie—they’re quite the pair on walks! While I’m new to Rover, I’ve been a pet sitter for over 15 years and have cared for dogs of all ages from 8 week old puppies to special needs seniors. And despite my claims of being a life-long dog person, I also grew up with cats and tend to be my friends’ cats’ favorite human. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and needs, and I’m dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for them. I aim to give your pets the same level of care and attention as I do my own. My Services Right now, I primarily offer dog walking and drop-in services. Day care and boarding are a possibility if our dogs vibe. My rates for walks and drop-ins are a bit higher to give me the flexibility to spend some extra time with your pet to make sure they're getting the love, care and attention they need, so a 30 minute walk will be a true 30 minutes spent on the walk. Dog Walking: I’ll take your dog on fun, active walks tailored to their energy level and preferences. Within reason, I let the dogs pick their routes, sniff ‘til their heart’s content and look for opportunities to incorporate any training you’re currently working on with your puppers. Drop-In Visits: I’ll stop by to check on your pet, make sure they’re fed, hydrated, and happy. We’ll have a potty break, cuddles and playtime. If there are any accidents, I make sure to clean up right away and let you know in case there is something we can do to make your pet more comfortable. Day Care & Boarding: Requires a meet and greet with my dog Leo (since it’s his apartment too)—Leo prefers to hang out with smaller dogs and puppies. I have access to a fenced in yard for the dogs to hang out and play, along with walks with me and Leo. I live across the street from Rock Creek Park and have a very flexible WFH schedule which gives me plenty of time to dote on your furbaby. A Little Extra I always appreciate regular updates when my dog is with a sitter so I make sure to send photos, videos and report back on how your pet is doing. I'm willing to work with multiple pets, small or large; follow special diets; administer oral medication; basic behavioral training and socialization training. I have experience working with dog-reactive dogs and working with new dog parents to provide support (and a little break!) after adopting a dog or bringing home a new puppy. I work from home and set my own hours so I’m easily able to fit walks and drop-ins through out the day. For day care and boarding, we'll try to find a balance between your schedule and ours. I will always opt for a long line in open areas over off-leash, I have fenced in yard for plenty of romping time, and I’m more than happy to slowly work with pets that are timid/unsure until they trust me.
