“Kam did an excellent job and was a pleasure to work with. She is very communicative and thoughtful. Our dog - who is usually quite anxious - was extremely comfortable and relaxed with her while we were on vacation, even over the 4th of July when loud noises usually bother him. Kam stayed at our home and sent lots of cute dog pics while we were away. Highly recommend!”

“Darren was amazing while I was away from home. He ensured to understand my dog and his routine and he kept me updated multiple times throughout the day/the trip with cute pictures and videos! My dog also instantly loved him when they first met and I am very happy with the service! I highly recommend him and will personally be using him again in the future!”

“Gabby is great! She quickly helped us out when we needed someone for Bruno on a short notice. She is very responsive to messages and sends lots of photos. Bruno had a great time with her!!”

“MELANIE IS A GOD SEND! I was really nervous for someone to watch our 9 week old puppy for us for the first time. We lost our last dog suddenly/tragically so I had a pit in my stomach leaving our new puppy for a full work day. Melanie met me in person for an interview and stole my heart! She has a love for animals and it’s very clear the kind of person she is. She sent pics and videos of my pup all day long and even helped with some training tricks! Melanie will for sure be our go to pet sitter!”

“Mallory was amazing and when she gets back from vacation, I will contact her again. She showed up on time and was professional and friendly. My dog loved her and was very calm when I returned home. I highly recommend her.”

“Miriam did the best job taking care of our dog while we were out of town. Miriam did a great job communicating, sending photos, updates, and left our home in fantastic condition. We have a senior dog with some anxiety, and Miriam was very experienced and understanding, which truly can’t express how much that’s appreciated. Would rebook with Miriam any time and suggest you to do the same!”

“Aspen watched my house of animals for a weekend and both my husband and I felt very confident leaving them with her. The dogs loved her Right away when she initially came over to meet them. We received wonderful photos of all the animals during the weekend and they seemed to have such a great time! When we got home everyone was so happy and healthy. We really appreciated having Aspen watch our zoo!”

“We consider ourselves very lucky to have found Ashley on such short notice ahead of the holidays. Our dates were in flux and we couldn't book as far in advance as we would have liked. I was VERY anxious booking someone new for a full week (as our normal sitter was not available) especially given we have a senior cat that requires regular meds, but Ashley did everything in her power to make this paranoid cat mom feel at ease! She stopped by for a meet and greet ahead of the booking. She sent loads of pictures and updates, including regular updates on how my senior boy was doing taking his meds. Both cats seemed very comfortable with her as evidenced by the snuggles my senior cat gave and the very limited number of hisses from our spicy girl. When we got home, the house was in impeccable shape and Ashley even brought in our mail/packages, which I greatly appreciated! We will definitely be rebooking with Ashley next time we need someone to watch the buddies!”

“If you can get Brittany to dog sit/house sit, you won't be disappointed. She's incredibly professional, punctual and connects immediately with your animals. My senior dogs bonded quickly with her and seemed disappointed that I was the one that came back. She was also very responsive and would send pictures occasionally of how they were doing. They seemed to have the best time with her. Just book her, she's incredibly gifted at this.”

“Kayla was great with our german shepherd when we were in a pinch. She communicated with us throughout her overnight stay, sent pictures & updates & offered to help in other areas as well. We would recommend her to care for others pets/homes. Thank you Kayla :)”

About: I have had dogs since I was 17 most of the time 2 t o 3 dogs at a time. I enjoy walking them and playing outside with them and loving on them. I currently work a fulltime job with work from home days as well. I work 8am to 4pm. I still have plenty of time with my animals and take my dog for walks or play fetch in the back yard. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I also love to clean so you would never come home to a mess. I will only care for your pets in your home. I think it is best for them to stay home and not be introduced to a new location plus new people and pets. I will care for your pets exactly how you do.

“Eva was amazing with our dog Lola. Took her on walks, kept to her schedule, and gave her lots of love and belly rubs. She sent us daily pictures and let us know how things were going. We could not have asked for a better sitter and she definitely is a dog lover. Lola was sorry to see her go.”

About: After working in an animal hospital, I have learned so much about dogs and the care they need! I've worked with newborn puppies all the way up to senior dogs who need some extra care and help. I try to give puppies a little bit of training when needed (just basic stuff like sit, stay, lay down). Baths and giving medicine when needed are things I am comfortable with. I absolutely love working with dogs and I do my absolute best to make them feel as comfortable, safe, and loved as I can! I have worked with cats nearly my entire life and up until a few years ago, they have been the only pet I've had! I have also worked with kittens up to senior cats. I am very aware of medications and possible health issues with dogs and cats. I love spoiling both with treats and new toys. For cats, I deep clean litter boxes regularly and make sure they stay as clean as possible. I work part time at two jobs, but I only work up to 5 hour shifts at each. I am a very organized person (I use a planner and two different calendar apps!) so I will always make sure to plan out walks, feeding, and playtime. When petsitting, your pet is my priority! It is extremely helpful if I am left a list or note of things I can do to best take care of your pet(s)! I am very bubbly and love working with animals, which I think helps pets get comfortable with me. If a pet is nervous, then I let them slowly open up on their own. At my home, I love playing with my pets, giving them treats, and spoiling them with new toys when I can.
“I can’t say enough great things about Natalia! She watched my two dogs at my home for a few nights and did an amazing job. From the start, she was friendly, responsible, and clearly loves animals. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My dogs were happy, well cared for, and got plenty of walks and attention. I came home to a clean house and two very content pups! I highly recommend Natalia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.”

“Michelle was perfect. She was so sweet and loving. We had a meeting before hand to make sure she was comfortable with our crew and it went great you can tell she has a big heart for animals. Our kitty Callie has some special needs and hasn't been feeling great she was really understanding and accommodating. We will definitely use Michelle for our pets again!”

“Best first experience ever! Dejon took excellent care of my Cookie. He even gave her the ear medication the ended up being a last minute thing. He took her for big walks and was very attentive to her!! He even sent me plenty of videos and pictures!!! Will definitely book again! Thank you Dejon for being amazing!”

About: I’ve always loved being around dogs and understand that every pet has their own unique personality and needs. I know how important it is for pet owners to feel confident that their dog is in caring, reliable hands. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, a slower pace, or lots of play and attention, I’m happy to tailor each visit to what makes them happiest. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of exercise, affection, fresh water, and attentive care while keeping you updated with photos and messages during each visit. I’m dependable, punctual, and committed to treating every dog as if they were my own. My goal is to provide a safe, fun, and stress-free experience for both you and your pet. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, so walks, playtime, and visits fit naturally into my routine. I’m able to plan my day around each pet’s needs and make sure they receive consistent care, attention, and companionship. I believe safety and trust are the most important parts of caring for someone’s pet. I always prioritize safe walks, secure environments, and making sure pets are comfortable and happy. I provide attentive care by keeping up with feeding schedules, exercise needs, playtime, and any specific requests. I also communicate with owners through updates and photos so they can feel confident knowing their pet is in good hands.

Aspen made the whole process incredibly easy! She took fantastic care of my baby and my home as well and even went the extra mile to ensure I came home to clean sheets on the bed after a long day of travel!! I especially loved the picture updates she would send of my pup while I was away, which eased my anxiety a lot. Will 1000% be booking her in the future

We had a wonderful experience with Laura and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter. We needed to be out of town helping family, Laura stepped in on short notice and was fantastic. Bentley is very much a part of our family—he sleeps with us and has an early morning routine—so we didn’t want to kennel him or leave him alone with drop-in visits. Having Laura stay in our home gave us complete peace of mind. She took the time to come over and meet Bentley with us beforehand, arrived exactly when she said she would, and took excellent care of him all weekend. She sent regular updates and pictures, which meant a lot to us while we were away. It was clear Bentley was comfortable, well cared for, and happy. Laura was trustworthy, communicative, and genuinely kind to our dog. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for in-home pet care.

Lisa was awesome! She was a great communicator and did so well with our four dogs and cat. The dogs are energetic and she made sure to keep them busy so they barely missed us! Would recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter! Can’t say enough good things about her - just fabulous!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Blacklick walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Blacklick maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Blacklick choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Blacklick. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
