This is my first time with a pet sitter and Melanie is absolutely wonderful. She took the time to meet with me and the "kids" multiple times before actually sitting with my babies. She was punctual, kept me completely informed and updated every day and night with videos and pictures. Melanie was so communicative I never felt worried missing my babies. She took excellent care of them, including medication administration and many mess cleanups and laundering due to my senior dog. I could tell that Melanie truly loved my animals and they seemed comfortable with her. The house and my babies were visibly cared for upon our return from vacation. :) I will definitely use her again if she is willing.

Penny took amazing care of my Nala. Sent pictures every day, which made me feel so much better about leaving her while I went away. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect person to take care of my fur baby. I would recommend Penny for anyone who’s looking for a pet sitter.

Kam did an excellent job and was a pleasure to work with. She is very communicative and thoughtful. Our dog - who is usually quite anxious - was extremely comfortable and relaxed with her while we were on vacation, even over the 4th of July when loud noises usually bother him. Kam stayed at our home and sent lots of cute dog pics while we were away. Highly recommend!

Our pup and kitty LOVE Kaelin!! We’ve had her pet sit for the past 2 Christmas breaks and she’s been wonderful. Our dog is very high maintenance (kidney issues, IBS, and he’s blind) and it’s such a relief knowing he’s well taken care of while we’re away.

Aspen watched my house of animals for a weekend and both my husband and I felt very confident leaving them with her. The dogs loved her Right away when she initially came over to meet them. We received wonderful photos of all the animals during the weekend and they seemed to have such a great time! When we got home everyone was so happy and healthy. We really appreciated having Aspen watch our zoo!

Odin even tired to leave with Cody when it was time for him to go! Our house was in perfect condition as well. Cody is a wonderful care taker and our go to guy when we need a pet sitter! Thank you so much Cody!

About: Hi! My name is Marae. A little about me:   I grew up in a home filled with a love for all animals, especially dogs and cats. From feeding and grooming to playtime, giving medication and comforting them when they were anxious, I learned early on how to understand their unique personalities and needs. Because animals have always been such an important part of my life, working with them feels completely natural to me and I truly enjoy it!   When I worked at a pet boarding facility, I cared for a wide variety of dogs and cats, each with their own routines, personalities, and preferences. I always made it a priority to ensure every pet felt safe, comfortable, and loved while their families were away. I treat every animal as if they were my own.   I’m also a proud cat mom to three: Luna Storm, Chanse the Rapper (he talks a lot, hence the name), and Giovanni Grey.   My schedule is flexible and I am normally available even with little notice. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet soon! Im currently working a full time work at home job. Im typically off by 3:00pm but can be off earlier if need be! :) I also have a lot of time open on the weekends. I have a lot of experience taking care of others animals! Something I'm most proud of is being able to read body language and reactions from each pets as each are so different!

About: I’ve had a love of dogs forever and a general interest in them. I’ve had many of my own dogs and cared for the dogs of many friends and family members. I have experience with the care of senior dogs and administering medications and I know pet CPR. I am able to do drop ins for your dog every evening from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. I can take your dog out of their crate and outside to your yard to run around or I can walk them if they like that better.

Emberly was spectacular. She helped us out with very short notice, taking care of three dogs that can get pretty rowdy. She handled our sick puppy with the care, love, and affection Dottie needed, even though Emberly didn’t know until the night before how much specialized care Dottie would need. My wife and I greatly appreciate Emberly’s help, and we would definitely use her again.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all kinds: From puppies to seniors, energetic to couch potatoes and everything in between!! I’m great with set schedules such as: walks, feedings, meds (if needed), any special commands or routines of sorts. I am guaranteed to have tail wagging reviews!! I’m currently transitioning into a new job, however weekdays I can be available after 3:30pm, as well as weekend open availability for overnights or drops or even just walks. Whatever you need I’d be happy to help you! I do not have the space at my own place for dogs or cats to stay. However I do have reliable transportation to get me to your home and tend to your fur baby!! I am great with any schedules left for me to follow as well as locking up prior to leaving.

If you can get Brittany to dog sit/house sit, you won't be disappointed. She's incredibly professional, punctual and connects immediately with your animals. My senior dogs bonded quickly with her and seemed disappointed that I was the one that came back. She was also very responsive and would send pictures occasionally of how they were doing. They seemed to have the best time with her. Just book her, she's incredibly gifted at this.

Kieran is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. I left my 3 dogs at home while away for a long weekend and Kieran was sure to send pictures and videos every single time they went outside or played, or anything! It was great. More importantly, one of my senior pups was terminally ill. I made Kieran aware of her condition and asked to be gentler with her. My second to last day of my trip, Kieran called and because marlee had started displaying alarming symptoms. After calling me, Marlee was rushed to the ER while I rushed back home. I cannot thank Kieran enough for taking my baby into his arms and living her on her final days. And I can’t thank Kieran enough for making sure I had time to get to my baby before she crossed the bridge.

Took very good care of my five cats, including my senior diabetic cat, who she gave insulin to. My cats responded well to her immediately and were drawn to her and comfortable approaching on our meet and greet. She reached out to me immediately when one cat was hiding during her first visit and I appreciate the realtime communication when an issue arose. We arrived back home after 3 days and my babies were happy and healthy. Will definitely book with her again in the future!

FAQs for House Sitting - Brice

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Brice on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 1,506 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Brice. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brice walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brice maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brice choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brice. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
