“Penny took amazing care of my Nala. Sent pictures every day, which made me feel so much better about leaving her while I went away. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect person to take care of my fur baby. I would recommend Penny for anyone who’s looking for a pet sitter.”

“What can I say about Pat? She is amazing! Over the summer we needed to find someone to watch our dog at our place for two weeks in October. Not a small request trusting someone you don’t know. We asked to meet her prior to the booking and within minutes of meeting her, we knew she was the one. She is kind, personable, FUNNY and follows all the rules set forth by Rover and even our small requests. Our pup absolutely loves her as much as we do. We got updates, videos and photos every day which showed our little girl really enjoying herself not to mention looking relaxed. A relief for our minds being 1000s of miles away. After a long vacation, we returned to a house just as we left it, clean and tidy, with even a nice little note, flowers and candy welcoming us home on our kitchen counter. What a nice and sweet touch Pat! ❤️ For this review, when we needed someone for the day, there was no one else but Pat for us. She notified us when she arrived on time and got cute pics throughout the day during play and nap times. I hate to share the secret how great Pat is, we want her all to ourselves! She is now part of our pup family. We love her, you will too.”

“Miriam did a fantastic job taking care of goose and Delta. She was reliable, on time, and fantastic with communication. Set my mind at ease while I was away! I would happily refer her to anyone who needs a dog or pet sitter and will definitely be using her again!”

“We can’t say enough great things about Madelyn she took amazing care of our boys, Jett and Griffin, while we were away. From the start, communication was fantastic — we received regular updates, adorable photos:)”

“Melanie is great with my Morgan. I never worry about him as I can always count on her caring for him like he is her own fur baby .. THANK YOU so much for caring for Morgan...”

“My girls LOVED her! I was able to relax and enjoy vacation knowing they were in great hands. I also loved that she would send video and photo updates throughout the week! Will definitely use her again!”

“It was wonderful to be able to go visit family (some are allergic to dogs) and know that Mochi, CiCi and Nala were in good hands. Dajon did a wonderful job and the dogs loved him. He sent pictures which made us happy to see how happy the dogs were. Thank you Dajon!”

“I can't say enough good things. We were a little stressed about leaving Guapo (our anxious and sometimes reactive pittie mix) with someone new on short notice over the holiday weekend, but Bishop was willing to come do a meet and greet prior to staying over and was absolutely great. Guapo took to him easily and was so well cared for - I also appreciated the quick check ins and pics to reassure us he was doing okay. This was such a relief and we will definitely reach out for future bookings!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all kinds: From puppies to seniors, energetic to couch potatoes and everything in between!! I’m great with set schedules such as: walks, feedings, meds (if needed), any special commands or routines of sorts. I am guaranteed to have tail wagging reviews!! I’m currently transitioning into a new job, however weekdays I can be available after 3:30pm, as well as weekend open availability for overnights or drops or even just walks. Whatever you need I’d be happy to help you! I do not have the space at my own place for dogs or cats to stay. However I do have reliable transportation to get me to your home and tend to your fur baby!! I am great with any schedules left for me to follow as well as locking up prior to leaving.

“If you can get Brittany to dog sit/house sit, you won't be disappointed. She's incredibly professional, punctual and connects immediately with your animals. My senior dogs bonded quickly with her and seemed disappointed that I was the one that came back. She was also very responsive and would send pictures occasionally of how they were doing. They seemed to have the best time with her. Just book her, she's incredibly gifted at this.”

“Kam did an excellent job and was a pleasure to work with. She is very communicative and thoughtful. Our dog - who is usually quite anxious - was extremely comfortable and relaxed with her while we were on vacation, even over the 4th of July when loud noises usually bother him. Kam stayed at our home and sent lots of cute dog pics while we were away. Highly recommend!”

“Sheridan was great with our two dogs. She communicated and sent pictures everyday, which was great. She also helped us out immensely when we had some travel issues and needed additional nights. Would recommend 100%.”

“Always super helpful and nice when I book with her. This was a last minute booking and I’m so thankful she was available. My dog has crazy anxiety and compared to the first time and this one she took barely any time to get used to Kaelin.”

“Emma watched Sadie while we were away for a day. She was communicative when needed, did everything we asked of her, and even stayed a little while extra to comfort Sadie when Sadie was afraid of fireworks going off outside. Sadie was cared for and in good spirits when we returned. We would happily book Emma again!”

“Christine is the best! As a first-time Rover user, going oversees, leaving a menagerie of animals...Christine put my mind at rest. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Zimmer
Bishop did amazing taking care of our girls! We went out of town for our wedding, we have a senior dog and a puppy. He did great matching what they each needed and provided daily updates. I cannot recommend him enough if you are looking for someone to take great care for your pets.

Ellie was great with Archie. She gave nightly updates and the house was spotless when we came home. She always strips the bed which is much appreciated. She also received Archie’s frozen food delivery and unpacked it into the freezer for us. We came home to a tired pup who was clearly very well cared for. Will book again.

Kaelin is so amazing with our Senior Gentleman kitty!🐈⬛ I know he snuggled and loved the whole time we are gone. She is great at giving him meds and giving me updates on his health while away. I have no stress or fear while away as Kaelin gives us peace of mind while she is with our little lovey boy. She is wonderful!

Penny took amazing care of my Nala. Sent pictures every day, which made me feel so much better about leaving her while I went away. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect person to take care of my fur baby. I would recommend Penny for anyone who’s looking for a pet sitter.

Deanna is the dog walker we've been looking for! She was able to help us last minute and was absolutely amazing. Her communication was perfect, we never wondered how our pups were doing or what services she was providing. She is our new go-to dog walker, and would recommend anybody.

It was wonderful to be able to go visit family (some are allergic to dogs) and know that Mochi, CiCi and Nala were in good hands. Dajon did a wonderful job and the dogs loved him. He sent pictures which made us happy to see how happy the dogs were. Thank you Dajon!

Aleisa is the best!!! She did an incredible job watching my medically fragile girl, including handling a situation that led to an emergency vet visit. She did an amazing job keeping in contact about Frannie’s day to day, asked great questions, and communicated any conflicts with scheduling. I 100% trust and recommend Aleisa and would love to work with her again in the future!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Zimmer on Rover is $28.86 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 1,507 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Zimmer. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Zimmer walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Zimmer maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Zimmer choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Zimmer. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
