“Rachel was great with Grace! Provided us with updates on how the walks went, whether or not she was eating while we were gone, and her overall mood. The pics of Grace she included in the card were great, too! Thank a ton!”

“Patricia is absolutely wonderful! Always on time. Very patient. Great communicator—even sends photos of our guys with updates about the visits. They just love her! The peace of mind she provides is immeasurable.”

“Kayla is literally incredible. She’s so kind, she treats my dog with respect. She’s super responsive and willing to go above and beyond. She is our main go to since we’ve moved here to Columbus and I’m extremely grateful for her.”

About: I AM A CERTIFIED PET TRAINER.... I have TONS of energy for walking dogs. Average dogs walks with me are anywhere from 1/2 a mile to 2 miles and you will be able to see our route on Strava. I have had and taken care of dogs over the years and love them all! From therapy animals I have trained with gentleness and slow walks to fast walking/slow jog dogs! Sometimes all dogs need a little time outside to enjoy. I can walk dogs or do doggy drop in visits or basic command dog training. You can get a hold of me through Rover and I can check my availability that week. I will let you know in a 24 hour notice I can walk or not. Dogs are need the outdoors to run and play just like us so the more time out the better! Fist off, I AM A CERTIFIED DOG TRAINER. and I LOVE walking dogs! I’m big on one on one time with a dog especially during basic training time if you would like me for that along with drop in visits or dog walking. In other words, I won’t be holding 5 leashes on dog walks with different dogs! I prefer to walk most dogs that are active at LEAST a mile to get them in the open air and get those little doggy steps in! I do use an app that I will take a picture of at the end of the walk so you can see exactly where we went and how far! I’m in Pickerington and it’s a great spot for dog walking! (I can slow it down too and just relax and play in the yard if you have a slower, more relaxed dog) I also do cat care, fish, hamsters, you name it! Thanks!
“Cameron was great. We had a last minute change and could not take our puppy out like we normally do on lunch. She was quick to respond and was accommodating on short notice. She went above and beyond to make sure our puppy was comfortable when she put him back in his crate. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Darren is wonderful!! From the first day he walked in my house, I knew this was going to work out. He has a kind, gentle nature about him and such a soothing tone to his voice. He is so patient with Sugar which is what she needs. Sugar fell in love with him instantly. So much she would anxiously await him at the window until he pulled in the drive. I knew he was someone I could trust her with. I’m glad I took the chance on this service. He is definitely one of a kind!”

About: I have had a dog ever since I was born, and am now 23 years old! I helped train my newest dog, so I have a lot of experience in puppy training. My last dog unfortunately had to have her leg amputated when she got older, so I also have experience with disabled dogs. I have also volunteered at an animal shelter for years, so I am good with all kinds of dogs- big and small, anxious and energetic, etc. Whenever one of my friends is out of town, I am their go-to pet sitter. I pet sit for a lot of my friend’s cats, so while I’ve never had one, I know how to take care of them. My dog, Rosie, is my entire world, so I know how important your pets are to you! I will treat them as if they are my own :). I do have a full-time job, but it is very flexible. I am able to leave during the day if needed for your pet! My nights are always free too, so I am able to house-sit. Your pet will be my #1 priority in my routine! I will keep your pet safe with my life! I will ensure they are on a leash when outside and make sure they are comfortable and getting their exercise in. Inside, I love to play with them! I will ensure no doors are left open so they can’t slip outside to maintain their safety. But I will make sure they are having fun while inside!
About: I grew up with all kinds of animals but dogs were always part of our family. As an adult I have owned cats, hamsters, guinea pigs and fish. I love all animals including reptiles! I have work in child care most my life, so I’m use to meeting the needs of those who you love the most. I’m calm and patient for slow to warm animals and children.

“John met us on his own time to get acquainted to the house and acclimated with the dogs. One of our dogs was very shy but John took the time and care to get her warmed up to him so she could comfortably walk with them. He's been on time every day and willing to work with our schedule even if there are last minute changes. You can tell he is doing this because he really enjoys and cares about the animals. Make sure to book him quick if he's still available!”

About: I’ve had pets since I was 5! After college I adopted my own dog who passed away at 15. I’ve pet sit for various friends and family members and have experience with dogs 6 pounds to 80! I currently teach yoga, am in graduate school, and freelancing. My schedule is rather flexible which allows me to add this into my daily schedule. At this time, I’m not inviting pets into my home. If I have regular clients whose pets I get to know, I will be open to in the future. Since I have a cat, I want to ensure the comfortability of both pets.
About: There has never been a time in my life that I can’t remember not having a dog, I have owned many breeds, from a 2lb Pomeranian to a Great Pyrenees, from puppies to seniors I enjoy them all. Hi there! I took a short break from Rover for a few months, but I’m excited to be back and accepting bookings again. I’m now home full-time, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family member! I have a fenced backyard and three dogs to help keep your dog company. We have a built in doggie door so your dog will be able to go in and out as they want to, should they choose to use it.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the genuine care, patience, and attention I give to every pet as if they were my own. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs so they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while in my care. I enjoy keeping pets engaged through play, affection, and enrichment activities, including fun activities like dress-up and photos (with the owner’s permission). I’m also comfortable providing gentle care for senior pets who may need a slower pace, extra patience, and more companionship. Whether it’s an energetic puppy who needs play and structure or an older pet who needs calm attention and comfort, I adjust my care to fit their needs. As a stay-at-home seamstress, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. I make time for regular feeding, fresh water, exercise, and play, while also ensuring pets receive attention, grooming, and any needed care. Because I work from home, I can maintain a consistent schedule and respond promptly to their needs throughout the day. I provide attentive, reliable, and compassionate care based on each pet’s individual needs and the owner’s instructions. This includes feeding and providing fresh water, taking dogs on walks, cleaning up after pets, administering medication if directed, engaging them in play and exercise, and making sure they are safe and comfortable. I also keep living areas clean by cleaning litter boxes, food and water bowls, and any pet-related messes. I understand the importance of maintaining a pet’s normal routine and will communicate with the owner by providing updates and notifying them of any concerns while they are away.

I take safety and trust very seriously. I follow routines carefully, keep pets supervised, and make sure they feel comfortable and secure in a clean, calm environment at all times.
“Kyla has been wonderful to work with! Our energetic pup has lots of rules after training and Kyla was very open to learning our expectations for him. She already has been perpetuating his training. She has our dog walking right next to her like he does with us. Highly recommend!”

Paige was very punctual when arriving to walk my fur baby, and was also flexible with schedule changes. During this summer time, she is available for walks when the sun is lower, making it more comfortable for my Maggie. She followed the instructions on how the walk should be conducted. Thank you, Paige!

Fantastic dog walker with a great love for pets. She treated our Dipper super well on his walks with her for several months, so much so he stopped barking at her when she came, and just jumped with excitement instead. Was always punctual and had great communication.l as well.

Darren was wonderful with Teddy. He took him on a nice, vigorous walk and sent pictures along the way. I’d recommend Darren to anyone. You can tell he’s very genuine in his connection w/ his clients, and Teddy loved him immediately when he walked in the door. Teddy even gave him a kiss on the nose which is reserved for very special people!

Julie is fantastic. She has been an essential part of our puppy's life since we adopted her nearly two years ago. Julie is kind and consistent - exactly what a young zoomie pup needs. I work long hours and knowing that Charlotte will get Julie's loving attention makes it easier on Charlotte and me. She is so much more than Charlotte's dog walker.... she is Charlotte person when mom and dad are away. If you need a skilled and passionate person for your pup - you can't go wrong with Julie. I wish I could give her ten stars.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
