“We couldn’t be happier with the care Baxter received from Ray! Since this was our first time leaving Baxter with Ray, we were a little nervous, especially since Baxter was staying for only two days. But Ray immediately made us feel comfortable and reassured us that Baxter was in good hands. Throughout his stay, Ray kept us updated with pictures and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was wonderful seeing Baxter looking happy, relaxed, and comfortable. Ray was attentive to his needs, gave him plenty of love and attention, and made sure he was well cared for. When we picked Baxter up, he was happy and completely at ease, which told us everything we needed to know. We could tell he had a great time and was genuinely cared for. Thank you, Ray, for taking such wonderful care of Baxter and making his first stay with you such a positive experience. We truly appreciate the updates, love, and attention you gave him. We’re so glad we found someone we can trust, and we would definitely book with you again!”

“Mohammed and his daughter took such good care of my Abby while I was out of state for a family trip for 10 days. She came back happy and very sleepy which means she had a great time! I got daily photo updates of her on walkies and an A+ report card of her behavior. Would love to have Abby with Mohammed for a future stay again if the availability and stars align.”

“William took excellent care of my pup Iris while we were out of town for a short get away. William and his goldendoodle Maui were great hosts and Iris came home wore out from fun and playing. She was one happy dog.”

“Ms. Karmen is a dream come true. I could not ask for a more wonderful caretaker for my big boy Clover. She showed Clover so much love and cared for him as if he were her own. I sincerely appreciated all the care shown to Clover. Karmen definitely deserves a 10 + +. Thank you so much Karmen!”

“Many thanks to Jennifer for taking such good care of my sweet senior beagle girl! Amelia's eyesight and hearing are both greatly dimmed, and Jennifer was compassionate and accommodating of Amelia's needs. Jennifer's frequent photos and notes made my heart at ease while we were away. I would be happy to have Jennifer take care of my girl again.”

“Kristen is the best dog sitter. She treated my Cavalier King Charles like the King that he is. I can't recommend Kristen enough to take great care of your fur baby :)”

“Tricia was absolutely amazing with our dog, Cece! She gave her so much love and care throughout her entire week-long stay. She also sent us plenty of pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind, and truly treated Cece like she was her own pup. When we experienced multiple flight delays and cancellations while trying to get home, Tricia was incredibly accommodating and understanding. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, reliable, and trustworthy sitter for their fur baby!”

“Omg I love Latoya and would recommend her to anyone. She took the greatest care of my Beatrix. She also followed all of my instructions and updated me daily with photos/videos. I will definitely be using her services again. Latoya, I thank you so much.”

My pups had an amazing time with Deborah and she is our regular sitter. I know Oreo and Charlie are well cared for and they have the best time playing at Deborah’s. We are so blessed to have met her and she is the best sitter by far I’ve ever trusted to watch my dogs. We love her!

Daphne & Maria were absolutely amazing to our girls! This was a first time booking for us and they were so wonderful & made us feel so comfortable. They gave us regular updates, sent lots of photos, & since it was our wedding weekend, this helped me feel at ease so much that they were in such wonderful hands!!! She was truly wonderful & I couldn’t recommend booking her enough.

Kristen was absolutely amazing! It was my first time leaving my senior dog in the hands of somebody who is not a friend or family member and I was so worried. But from the moment I left, Kristen mitigated all of my fears, sending me tons of photos, videos, and updates about Ellie and how well she was acclimating to her new babysitter. She even did a FaceTime with Ellie and I which was a great way for my fur baby to hear my voice and feel like I was there 😂 I can’t recommend Kristen enough!

Rachel was outstanding! I always get so nervous finding a new sitter for our two pups but the minute I stepped into Rachel’s home I was set at ease. Her neighborhood is extremely dog friendly. She gave plenty of updates and pictures and my dogs had a blast. Hand off was also a breeze both at drop off and pick up. I couldn’t recommend her enough and will definitely book again.

The only one happier during and after a stay with Bugra is our dog, Chewie. I’ve lost all of my pet parent paranoia because he receives such high quality care with photos, updates, questions about changes in routine. It has really changed how we feel about traveling, or even having weekend events, knowing we have someone we totally trust with him. Could not recommend higher! And from the photos we got this weekend - neither could he.

Ella took amazing care of Arya! She kept us updated throughout the stay with frequent updates and pictures, which gave us complete peace of mind. She made sure Arya got plenty of playtime and attention, and truly went above and beyond to treat her like her own. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking with Ella again.

Susana took the best care of our dogs, TIbou and Brie, in her home while we were away for a week. She fed, walked, and loved them like her own. They also had a playmate in her dog, Milo. Walking them wasn't any easy task as it rained a lot, and the extra effort was much appreciated. We received lots of photos and messages about how our dogs were doing, so this helped us feel at ease during our trip. I really didn't worry at all. Thanks to Susana, we knew the dogs were looked after and loved.

Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
