About: We are not equipped to watch special needs dogs or dogs with separation anxiety. We only watch one dog at a time and care for them as if they were our own. I have been taking care of dogs for over thirty years. I understand that dogs need their routine and am happy to accommodate your animals needs. I understand the importance of your pet being cared for as well as you do. Your companion will receive the utmost care and attention in a beautiful environment in North Stamford. Rest assured your pet is safe with me. There isn't a better sitter or walker as far as responsibility is concerned. Our house is not set up for unruly or boisterous animals. We prefer to watch well behaved dogs who are on the calm side. We have multiple dog beds for them to sleep on or are happy to cage them in your own equipment if you prefer. We work from home and rarely leave dogs alone. We give them the care and affection they require and hope to give them the same experience here that they have in their homes We have a large deck and fenced side yard. Multiple dog beds for them to relax on. Hot water radiant heat in the winter and central air in the summer
About: Dogs and cats have always been a constant in my life and I cannot imagine life without them. They always bring joy, love, laughter, and meaning to our lives. I am retired and am available to walk/run your dog/s on or off leash and care for your cats in your home as well. I am available 7 days/week, often with very short notice. I will always follow your instructions for pet care. You will let me know if you prefer walks in your yard or on/off leash runs elsewhere.

Examples: His last dog, a saluki-shepherd mix, lived to be 18 1/2!! His current dog is Bodhi: a lucky 14-year-old smooth collie. Jon makes his own raw-food for Bodhi using a complicated recipe involving a dozen fresh and organic ingredients. For the first ten years of his life Bodhi went to the dog park twice a day, no matter the weather, for his social and physical exercise (now he goes once a day). I've seen Jon become the alpha to tame and calm hyper and excessively barky dogs using techniques that seem dramatic, but the dogs respond positively — and of course are always safe. Jon scours the globe to find the best vet, the best caregiver if he's traveling, and the best of everything for Bodhi. He once drove 200 miles to get the perfect dog bed...
