“Dew is a great communicator and a pleasure to work with. She clearly cares about the dogs in her care. Juno had a great time and we have already booked another overnight.”

“As always, Karine is amazing! I trust her implicitly with my anxious pup. She is so in tune with the dogs' needs and caters to them as if they are her own. Thank you again!”

“Another great visit with Lily and her family! She continues to take great care of our senior pup, making him feel like part of the family and meeting him at his level. So communicative and helpful!”

“First time back on Rover in a while. Needed a find a new dog sitter for a long weekend away and found Nandita. Excellent sitter. We met before the stay to see if my lab would get along with hers. They did and it gave me confidence that it was going to be a great weekend for my dog Cooper. Lots of photos/videos and updates during our time away. Communication was great. Happy dog = happy dog Dad. Thanks Nandita! You rock.”

“Daisy gets wonderful care when she stays with Andrea. Her yard is great for outdoor playtime, and the daily communication and pictures help us to enjoy a worry-free time away!”

“Ryan EXCEEDED my expectations! He has an intuitive way with dogs. He is very knowledgable about dogs & dog behavior. Ryan is the real deal-- a true animal lover & kind, decent human being. He communicated well with pics and updates during my dog's visit. During our initial meeting I felt an instant rapport he had with my dog that put me at ease. His home is VERY dog-centric! The visiting dogs are not confined and are free to mingle and find their own place to relax. There are ample dog beds, couches, human beds and floor space for lounging and sleeping. I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”

“Carrigan is lovely. I was very anxious about leaving my havenese dog for the first time but within hours Carrigan was sending me pictures and updates many times during his stay. Made my trip more enjoyable for me! Thank you. Carrrigan.”

“Ivon was the most perfect peace of mind. We’re new to the area and she helped us in a pinch. She communicated often — and with lots of photos! We never had to wonder what our pup was up to, the updates were so frequent and thorough. And filled his day with so many fun activities. We’re so grateful!”

“Judy is super attentive and communicative. I got several photos and updates a day assuring me that mango was extremely well taken care of. Would absolutely recommend. Mango comes back happy and tired and is more than happy to go back for another stay with Judy.”

“Ellie had a great stay at Richard's. It was our first time leaving her for a long vacation but Richard sent pictures and updates regularly. He was great! She had fun and we are happy to have found a place Ellie is happy to stay.”

“Jessica and her husband were clearly so patient and understanding about sitting for a senior dog. Salto came back happy and excited! They sent regular photos and updates. I would absolutely have Salto stay with them again if we are in the area.”
“Irene was wonderful! She kept us updated daily with pictures and videos of our baby, and was always quick to respond. She was also very flexible with meeting, and for pick up and drop off. Would absolutely leave our princess with her again!”

“Elvia is the best! Our dachshund loves her and so do we. Super reliable and takes such good care of our pup. We’ve used Elvia for both daytime and overnights and would highly recommend!”

“This is my second time having my fur baby with Sue. It was a much longer visit this time (a week) amd Sue remained her kind communicative self. Would recommend in a heartbeat. She goes above and beyond. Thank you! 💕”

“Kevin and his family were very sweet with my pup. She was nervous and anxious being away from us but they made her feel less nervous and made her stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommended!”

“Katharine is a kind person who has clearly demonstrated her love of dogs. Our 6 year old dachshund does not take to everyone as quickly as he did Katharine. We particularly appreciated her great communication throughout his 5 day stay with photos and wonderful stories. We will surely ask her again.”

About: Often called the dog whisperer of my family, I take the time to care for pets and build a connection that is almost instantaneous! I have been the main caretaker for my dogs for a lot of my life, so I have experience with puppies to senior dogs! I also have experience with cats and am prepared to assist your fur children with whatever they need! My schedule is flexible as I’m a new grad, so I am adaptable to what your pets need. I never take dogs off leash outside of the home. Right before I walk them outside, I put on the leash and make sure they are fully secured to their harness or collar! When I walk into the home, I greet the furry friends, provide a treat, and get to know them before we head out. Once we’re back, I either put them back in their crate if requested or make sure they’re all set up for the rest of the day. I’m currently a new grad, and currently looking to start my career while I work part-time. My schedule at this time is pretty open, so multiple times of the day are available! I have 3 friendly terriers that are excited to meet your pup if that’s preferred. I am able to take your pup on walks at their favorite trail/park or in their home space! I can crate your dog if needed, or get them set up with food, water, whatever they need until you’re home!

Can’t say enough good things about Laurie! Was very nervous about leaving my dogs, as they don’t get left very often and are crazy active little things, but Laurie is just a natural, and took such good care of my guys! They also got lots of practice behaving on leash walks and constant attention and play time. I won’t hesitate to book with Laurie again — and you shouldn’t, either!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
