Right now I have 2 small dogs( both were adopted), one is a senior and one is handicapped. They go out for walks at least 30 min per day in the parks, and I groom them myself. We trained them well and they dont beg by the table, they dont bark for no reasons, and they are well socialized. I am so grateful for able to take care them. One of the dog is 14 years old she got adopted by us at age 7, she came with anxiety issues. we retrained her to relieve herself outdoor, she learned fast, and she was rehabilitated into a wonderful, fun, loving dog. The handicapped one has a birth defects but he is the sweetest dog I ever owned, he is well behaved and very smart. I want to pour more time into taking care of these amazing pets, they are not just dogs, they are our family, companions and true friends I work as arts and craft teacher at elementry school (5 hours per week). I also teach 3 hours per week at the YMCA. I have ample time to take care of the dogs. At my home the dogs are being monitored with servalliace camera. I let them out every 2 -4 hours during the day if I am home. Our yard is fenced. They get 2 meals a day. some treats. I follow clients instruction on taking care of dogs.

About: From furry to feathered, I've been surrounded by animals my entire life, nurturing a deep understanding and unwavering passion for their well-being. Growing up with cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, fish, and rabbits has instilled in me a lifelong commitment to providing exceptional care for all creatures, great and small. This isn't just a job for me; it's a continuation of a lifelong dedication. What truly sets me apart is my experience with special needs animals. My own beloved dog, Charli, battled a severe form of epilepsy, requiring meticulous management through specialized diets, precise medication administration (oral and nasal), and attentive seizure care, including mobility assistance with a supportive sling. This personal journey has equipped me with invaluable skills and a profound empathy for animals facing health challenges. I also have experience administering oral medication to rabbits, syringe feeding, and even IV hydration. Beyond my personal experience, I actively volunteer at SNARR, a special needs rescue in Brewster, where I walk and socialize dogs of all breeds and temperaments. I'm also currently pursuing my dog training certification, further enhancing my ability to understand and address canine behavior. Animals have always been an integral part of my life, and their well-being is my utmost priority. When you entrust your pet to my care, you can rest assured they will be treated with the same love, attention, and dedication I would give my own. With a flexible work schedule (home-based 3 days a week, NYC on Tuesdays/Thursdays), I can easily adapt to your pet's unique needs and provide personalized care. I am Pet CPR and First Aid Certified. When pets stay with me, they become part of our family! My home offers a comfortable and safe environment, with a large, partially fenced yard (full fencing is in progress!) where they can enjoy supervised playtime. Inside, I have cozy beds and ample space for crating if needed. I understand that every pet is unique, so I'll tailor my schedule to perfectly match your pet's exercise, feeding, and medication needs. We're fortunate to live in an area with plenty of beautiful walking and hiking trails, perfect for exploring with energetic pups. My two children, ages 8 and 11, are animal lovers who understand the importance of respecting individual needs and temperaments. They're also fantastic playmates for dogs who enjoy a good romp! Finally, we have a house rabbit who will always be kept separate from any visiting animals, ensuring everyone's safety and comfort.

“Emily was great from the start. She requested a quick in-person meet with Shadow to get acquainted and to see the layout of the house, where the food, litter, etc are kept and this went a long way towards ensuring my family was comfortable with someone new taking care of our pet. She was so timely and thorough with her updates and sent along pictures daily which we really appreciated. We’ll be calling Emily again, you should do the same!”

“Kristin was amazing!! She kept in touch with us everyday, when a little emergency came about with our little Sonny she was on it and kept in touch and really worked with us to get it taken care of. My dog loved her and really made us real at ease with living him in her care. I will with out a doubt be using Kristin again.”

About: HI! I’m Melisa, and I love animals of all kinds. I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, horses, birds, cows, rabbits, chickens… you name it. Between growing up with animals in the home since I was a child, volunteering for many (MANY) years at a few animal shelters during grade school and college, and the pet sitting I've done since moving to New York (in 2009), I have a lot of experience with animals of all temperaments, sizes, and ages. To echo the above, I am comfortable with any size/breed of dog, and have worked with senior animals as well. It would be my pleasure to help you with your dogs and cats, whether that is for a daytime walk, a drop-in, or overnight. I love playtime and snuggle time equally, and can provide whatever you and your pet require. Thank you for reading, and I hope to meet you and your pup! I work from home in Bedford Hills, NY. I go into the office every now and then, so am around most of the time! My extra curriculars happen around my dog walking and pet sitting schedule, so my schedule is flexible. Also, during the cold weather, I'd love to know if your dog needs a jacket or booties when going on a long walk.

“Tina, seems to always have had dogs in her life, even a dog picture on her credit card. She is the only dog owner I've ever known to regularly floss her dogs and not just brush their teeth, prep great delicious healthy canine meals, play with them, and walk them regularly. She is passionate in her care of her furry friends and seems to know what her dog friends are telling her and great at addressing their needs and keeping their tails wagging. Tina will be a great addition to the Rover.com community. The world will be a better place because of her TLC. Jon”

15. Christine L.
“There is no other human I know who is as loving, caring and nurturing of pets especially dogs than Christine. The time she has devoted to caring for her own young dog throughout its illness is beyond comparison. Her commitment to helping out at a Foster dog shelter is indicative of her love for all pets. I highly recommend her as a responsible pet caregiver.”
