“Farva is very responsive and has a very calm, caring nature which is perfect for our anxious dog. Jack had lots of playtime with Farva and came home very relaxed. He is looking forward to his next stays”

“We were so lucky to find Lily! Their family was absolutely gracious and Mio had a blast! Lily provided plenty of photos and we felt confident leaving him in good hands. We will 100% book again! Thank you Lily!”

“Arsenii takes great care of Bubba like always! We can rest assured that Bubba would have a great time when we are in vacation if he’s with Arsenii. He’s simply Bubba’s favorite :)”

“Our dog Laika had her first experience of being with a sitter for several days and we were fortunate to have met wonderful people in Natasha and Hamir. Their kindness and attentiveness are extraordinary and they ensured to make our dog as comfortable as possible giving her love and care which made her feel as if at home. Natasha and Hamir were communicating daily with brief recap of the day and Laika’s photos from her walk and during her cozy downtime. They were willing to accommodate any requests we had. Natasha and Hamir are one of a kind and we can only wholeheartedly recommend them as wonderful people and dog lovers. We surely found a place we can call a “home-way-from home” for our Laika in the future as well.”

“Elizaveta took such good care of Storm! She sent me pictures and videos throughout Storm’s stay and she along so well with Elizaveta’s puppy. Having just moved to the area, I’m so happy I found someone I feel comfortable leaving my baby with.”

“Kevin and his family were very sweet with my pup. She was nervous and anxious being away from us but they made her feel less nervous and made her stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommended!”

“I was caught in a bind as I was moving and my current place had to cancel due to the weather. This is my first time using Rover and I needed to find someone to watch my pup. River is a bit reserved and can be very nervous. Pam is a life saver. She sent pictures throughout her visit and I was completely at ease during a very stressful move. I will definitely recommend Pam and will reach out to her again whenever I need a sitter for my girl. Thanks a million. You are the best!!!”

“Robin took great care of our dog. She sent updates throughout the day and when we picked him up, I could tell he was very relaxed and happy and enjoyed his time with her and her family. We will definitely use her again for our dog!”

“Ryan EXCEEDED my expectations! He has an intuitive way with dogs. He is very knowledgable about dogs & dog behavior. Ryan is the real deal-- a true animal lover & kind, decent human being. He communicated well with pics and updates during my dog's visit. During our initial meeting I felt an instant rapport he had with my dog that put me at ease. His home is VERY dog-centric! The visiting dogs are not confined and are free to mingle and find their own place to relax. There are ample dog beds, couches, human beds and floor space for lounging and sleeping. I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”

“Nandita was awesome! She took care of my Luka over a weekend and the picture and video updates were constant. Luka seemed very happy during his stay. Him and Ozzy got along great. Nandita and her family were very welcoming and caring with my boy, he had plenty of snuggles and play time. He definitely got all the attention he constantly seeks at home. I was at peace knowing my Luka was well taken care of! I absolutely recommend Nandita as your next dog sitter !”

“Andrea is wonderful. Our dog was happy and healthy when we picked him up. I love her home and yard--perfect for dogs. There were a few other dogs staying with her, which was a plus for us. Dogs can play all day together and sleep together at night. I highly recommend Andrea and we will definitely book our dog to stay with her next time we travel.”

“Laura,Carolina, and Enrique took excellent care of my dog Daisy. They sent me photos of her stay every day. They also gave Daisy her daily meds. I will definitely have them dog sit Daisy in the future.”

“Saori was great. Our one year old lab was in heaven at their place. We received a puppy that was well cared for and had gotten a lot of socialization and exercise is a safe environment.”

“Arianne and her family took such great care of Luke. This is the second time Luke has stayed with them and once again Arianne was very patient with Luke, helped him adjust and always kept me informed as to how he was doing. She sent me daily pictures and was very quick to respond to all my messages. When I picked up Luke he was very calm and he looked well taken care of. You guys are awesome!”

“Chelsea is a wonderful dog sitter!! She is prompt, responsive to texts and emails and is an absolute delight. She treated my dog like one of her own. Couldn’t ask for a better dog watcher. Will DEFINITELY call her again!!”

“Another amazing stay, this one with a photoshoot! Melissa and her family take incredible care of Watson and we’re continuously grateful that they open their home to him!”

About: Hello, My name is Candice. I am a fur Momma to two Dogs. Princess Lola is a 7 year old Chocolate Labrador who is my gentle giant. She enjoys long walks with her dog friends and playing with her human brothers and sisters. Scrappy is a 14 year old Westie/ Bischon Frise mix who enjoys snuggles from his family and his bed. My Brodie was a 13 year old Long Haired Chihuahua/ Papillon mix and in his younger years enjoyed playing nose soccer with his family. In his senior life he enjoyed snuggling up with his brother Scrappy most. My husband Craig and I are raising our 4 children ages 4-11. They have lived their entire lives with dogs. We are a family of dog lovers and cant wait to meet your fur babies. I have experience in caring for dogs ages ranging from puppy to senior. I also have experience administering oral medication. I have been a stay at home mother and homemaker for the past 11 years which allows me to have a very flexible schedule to care for your dog. I offer a variety of services. Outdoor dog walking from little to no incline for older dogs or dogs with walking difficulties to uphill or hiking for more active and energetic dogs. I can provide care in my home with my family or care in your home for play time, feedings, or to give medicine.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Whitehall Corners
Joe, the dog-whisperer, did a great job for us. We had used him a couple of times for a night or two and we were going on a two-week cruise. We had him stay at the house with Barry, our beagle. He located himself in our finished basement suite, brought his own provisions and was very respectful of our house. He got Barry to fetch and was working on "paw" with him. We got great updates while we were away. He and Barry got along great.

Irene and her husband are incredibly kind sitters. We had to book at the last minute, yet Irene was able to arrange a stay for our old, arthritic pup and provide Ruby with devoted attention. They have a clean, safe environment in a nice, wooded area and communication with us was top notch.

This was Kobe’s first time staying with Denise while we were away on vacation for five nights, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Kobe had the best time sun bathing by her pool and making new puppy friends, and it was obvious from the start that Denise treated him like one of her own. Denise kept us updated throughout our trip with photos and messages, which meant so much and allowed us to truly relax while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. We would absolutely recommend Denise to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy dog sitter, and we’ll definitely be using her again in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Whitehall Corners home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Whitehall Corners.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Whitehall Corners sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
