“Our dog Bella stayed with Jill, Tommy, and their dogs when went on vacation. Bella stayed with them for a few daycare days prior to her week long stay. They were very welcoming and friendly. They took such great care of Bella. They updated us daily on how Bella was doing, along with pictures of her daily activities. This really made us enjoy our vacation even more knowing she was well cared for. They took her in as part of their family. We will definitely utilize them for day care and overnight stays in the future.”

“Rita took great care of Toby. She checked in with us and sent pictures and videos. Normally, Toby is restless and paces and seems anxious when he comes home from staying. He was very chill and seemed just like normal when he came home from Rita's. We were very happy about that. We'll be taking Toby back to Rita's.”

“Awesome service! Above and beyond. My rescue is very skittish and warmed up immediately. Even got used to their dog. My other dog had the time of his life getting to play and go explore new areas on his walks. Made my vacation worry free. 10/10 will book again.”

“This was our first time boarding our dog, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Chyann was incredibly sweet, attentive, and caring, and it was clear from the start that she genuinely loves animals. She provided regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was well cared for, comfortable, and happy throughout the stay. She has a natural way with animals and made the entire experience stress-free for both us and our pup. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a safe, trustworthy, and loving environment for their dog.”

“Adriene was a wonderful fill in Mama for our old boy Sam. She sent lots of pictures of his “vacation “ Sam had lots of smiles in his pictures with her dogs. Adrienes is a great fit for our old dog.”

“Sara took a great care of our little guy. She gave timely updates and I can see that our Leo had so much fun and comfortable at her place. I would definitely keep our little guy with Sara again.”

“Joseph kept us updated on how our dog was doing while we were away with tons of adorable photos and videos, making it clear he was having a blast. We could tell our pup was getting all the exercise he needed, thanks to Joseph's commitment to regular walks and playtime at the dog park. It was such a relief knowing our dog was in great hands!”

“We had the opportunity to try a different way to give our dog a vacation while we were on vacation and Kelly did not disappoint. The care and attention for Ivy was top notch and will be using Kelly again without a doubt. Thank you again Kelly, and sorry for the late review..... Book her now, you won't have anything to worry about.”

“Amber was absolutely wonderful with Nala! She took such great care of her, and Nala had the best time playing and getting lots of love. You can tell Amber really knows how to make dogs feel at home. We would definitely book with her again without hesitation. Highly recommend!”

About: Extremely flexible! I'm experienced in taking care of cats, dogs, turtles, bearded dragons, and fish. I would love to give your furbaby the best care possible! I am a recent graduate from the University of Delaware. My schedule is pretty flexible this summer, I am extremely communicative & love to care for pets. I live with 2 dogs & 2 cats. The cats & dogs are separated. I am very patient with animals! I am also extremely diligent with their care such as cleaning food/water bowls, scooping poop, changing pee pads, following feeding/medication schedule, and playing with animals.
“Cynthia was great with my 1 1/2 year old Sheltie. She allowed us to meet her and her pup a couple of weeks before our vacation, to make sure we all were comfortable with each other. Drop off day was hard for us since our Sheltie is only 1.5 year’s old and a rescue, we didn’t want to stress her out too much. Cynthia has lots of experience with rescues and was quick to pick up on her needs. During the vacation she sent us many videos and pictures, which helped a great deal. On pick up day she sent us home with homemade treats, bully stick, and a freshly laundered dog bed. I will definitely use Rover and Cynthia again!!!!”

“We were so satisfied with the care and service we received from Bethany. Our puppy Nala and her dog Star got along phenomenally. We received updates and photos daily via Rover as well as text messages from Bethany letting us know how Nala was doing. We will definitely be using her again whenever we travel. Thanks Bethany! ”

About: I work in a veterinary hospital as a kennel technician, where I care for animals daily by feeding, cleaning, exercising, monitoring behavior, and ensuring their comfort and safety under professional supervision. I’m currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays after 12. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed, bring your own if you have a big dog if not the case I have small ones.

“Rackeem came in clutch when we needed a last-minute sitter for our little girl Piper over the Thanksgiving holiday! He took great care of her at his home, sent plenty of photos and updates daily, and was super flexible when it came to drop-off and pickup days and times. 10/10 would absolutely leave our little girl with him again!”

“My dog Gus had a great time at Nicole’s house. The yard is nice and big and my dog got along well with Nicole’s dog. Nicole was very professional and we appreciated the regular updates and pictures. We will definitely book with Nicole again!”

I had a wonderful experience! They took such great care of my dog, Maddy, and kept me updated throughout her stay with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that she was well cared for and treated like family. I truly appreciated the communication, kindness, and attention they gave her. I would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!
Tucker had his first sleepover ever with Latoya this past weekend. She was so welcoming and to both me and Tucker. He immediately felt comfortable in her presence and I was able to enjoy my weekend. Updated pictures and info kept me well aware of the wonderful care Tucker was getting. He even learned how to climb up and down stairs all by himself. Latoya is a must have caregiver for your furry pet.

I’m grateful that Lindsey accepted Cecelia in her home as her own, and for the gentle care that she provided. From the pictures Lindsey sent me and the texts on the daily basis (even multiple times a day), I could tell that Cecelia was feeling very comfortable, happy, and content that all her needs were being met. I highly recommend Lindsey, and would definitely ask her for the care of Cecelia again.

Blue had an amazing time! Was taken care of and well loved. Multiple walks and playtime were amazing for him! He was definitely tired after he got back which was so awesome. Nicole made sure to take care of him in an extremely professional manner. Would definitely recommend Nicole and be using her in the future

Paige is absolutely incredible! If you’re searching for a home away from home for your furry friends, look no further, Paige is the perfect choice. She excels at communication, providing regular updates with pictures and detailed descriptions of what the dogs have been up to, ensuring peace of mind at all times. Paige has also been very flexible in accommodating our schedule. She made sure our girls were well-fed, walked, and, above all, showered with love and snuggles. Our dogs enjoyed their stay so much that one of my huskies even tried to go back inside when we came to pick them up! I couldn’t recommend Paige highly enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
