He was ok. As a first time user i would have appreciated more pics/video updates. My leash was misplaced, although he offered to replace. I liked that he was patient w/ my puppy who was nervous to enter his home in the beginning.

About: I have been involved with pet rescue for coming up on 10 years and have been an avid pet parent to all types of animals for my entire life. My family and I were responsible for the rehabilitation of pets with high needs. This involved pets with both behavioral concerns and medically fragile pets through my fostering experience. I work with them to ensure they can put their best paw forward into their forever home. I have also attended several pet training class for fosters and my own family pets and am generally good with pets of all temperaments. I work full time, but am committed to taking care of all of our pets! Primarily I would be looking for night and weekend work to make sure I have adequate time to spend with your fur babies. I have 3 cats that live in my home and mostly roam freely (except for mealtimes) I also have a large dog kennel in my home for boarding needs. I have a small fenced in yard and also live in an easily walkable area with lots of doggie neighbors.

Peanut was in the best of hands with Rita. Our flight wound up being delayed and Rita was so kind and understanding that we had to extend our puppys stay. She went above and beyond to accommodate us. Thank you so much!!!

Enrica and her family were absolutely wonderful! We were a bit anxious about leaving our guy somewhere new over the holidays, but we couldn’t be more pleased. Enrica was extremely responsive to messages, sent regular updates and photos, and took great care of Gimli. When our return flight was delayed, she was very understanding about a late pick up. Thank you, Enrica!

About: I've had dogs for over 25 years and most recently I'm caring for a dog with a seizure disorder. Everything from young energetic puppies to elderly dogs. I have worked with an organization called Missing Pet Partnership (an organization started by a police officer who trained scent detection dogs). I was trained to find lost pets and the psychology of dogs and cats including training in pet first aid and CPR. My previous career was as a special education teacher. I now work full-time from home. I would love to play with and care for your pup! No pet too big or small. I hope to hear from you, thanks. I am currently working full-time from home and I will have plenty of time to play with your for baby I'm available for boarding on weekdays, weekends, nights and even holidays. I work from home and have a very large fenced yard that is fully secure for the smallest dog and 5 and a 1/2 feet tall for larger dogs. My home is set back from the road on a quiet private street for your peace of mind. I have two small friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can crate your dog if needed based on your preference and socialization with my dogs is entirely up to you. My home has separate areas to accommodate a variety of situations including multi pet homes that crate and rotate dogs, dogs with medical needs who need to be in separate areas, etc. For overnight stays I will tailor your dogs experience to ensure it is a home away from home.

About: I had the privilege of caring for my Lab mix, who I adopted from a shelter, for two years. She had ongoing health complications, which taught me patience, compassion, and how to care for a dog with special needs. Even though she’s no longer with me, my love for animals is what inspired me to start caring for other people’s pets. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply providing companionship, I enjoy making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I care for every pet with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. I follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, and routines to help pets feel comfortable and safe. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality while providing a clean, caring, and stress-free environment. I also love keeping owners updated so they can feel confident their furry family member is in good hands.

This was our first time boarding our dog, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Chyann was incredibly sweet, attentive, and caring, and it was clear from the start that she genuinely loves animals. She provided regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was well cared for, comfortable, and happy throughout the stay. She has a natural way with animals and made the entire experience stress-free for both us and our pup. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a safe, trustworthy, and loving environment for their dog.

Mark and Kayleigh were amazing, start to finish, while watching our sweet pup. They both clearly know and love dogs, their house and yard and wonderful and safe for pets. They were attentive to the dog, responsive to us while we were on our trip, and operate with respect and professionalism you’d hope for when letting someone watch over a part of your family. Can’t recommend them enough! Our Shiloh will absolutely be staying with them again on our next trip.

Our dog Bella stayed with Jill, Tommy, and their dogs when went on vacation. Bella stayed with them for a few daycare days prior to her week long stay. They were very welcoming and friendly. They took such great care of Bella. They updated us daily on how Bella was doing, along with pictures of her daily activities. This really made us enjoy our vacation even more knowing she was well cared for. They took her in as part of their family. We will definitely utilize them for day care and overnight stays in the future.

I own a single split level home in a wonderful, safe neighborhood. I have a large, fenced in back yard. My home is pet friendly and comfortable.

The fact that Courtney is a vet was one of the reasons I reached out to see if she was able to watch Sunny for a weekend while I was out of town due to how anxious she can get. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint. During the meet and greet, she asked about emergency vet info and offered her office as an option for urgent but non-emergency situations since I don’t have a primary emergency vet. She was aware of Sunny’s needs while she was there. Courtney also kept great communication and sent lots of videos and pics during her stay. I would 10/10 recommend her and will definitely be booking services with her again when the time comes!

I’m currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays after 12. Karen kept my 2 English Bulldogs and a 10 y/o Boston Terrier for a long weekend and they came home healthy and happy. Her attention to detail (food, wrinkle cream and brachycephalic considerations for heat exposure) along with the ease of drop off and pickup will make her a top choice for future boarding.

Lindsey is an amazing sitter!! She shows a lot of love to Chico and he loves her back. Chico came back to us clean, well fed and with no issues. Lindsey's children are very fond of him too. And I appreciate the fact that she sends me pictures of him at play with his furry friends every day. That keeps me at peace to know he's having an enjoyable stay.

This was the first time I used to Katherine to board my dog. I was nervous with a new situation but Katherine put me at ease. She has two dogs of her own and knows how to handle them! She asked a lot of good questions about how we do things and what my dogs like and was kind enough to put a warning on her front door not to walk right in because a dog might run out (my dog is a runner so I was nervous). She sent lots of pictures and my dog got way more exercise and outdoor time than he does at home! I highly recommend Katherine for any kind of dog sitting!

Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
