“My dog is very happy with Grace, so that makes me happy. This was his second visit with Grace, and everything went great. Grace is very conscientious and is in tune with my dog's needs. He'll be back again next week with his sister.”

“Sara took a great care of our little guy. She gave timely updates and I can see that our Leo had so much fun and comfortable at her place. I would definitely keep our little guy with Sara again.”

“David did a great job watching our dog. He provided us with timely updates as well. I highly recommend David war hing anyone's dog as he clearly has a lot of experience and cares about the dogs he watches.”

“I can't even express how deeply grateful I am to have found someone as exceptionally loving and thoughtful as Patricia to take care of our dog while we were away. It can be concerning when trying a caregiver for the first time, but she completely exceeded expectations and made our dog feel right at home. I could tell from the videos, photos and descriptions that our dog had so much fun and was so happy, even with her tending to have a hard time opening up to new people. Our dog is almost 7, and this is by far the best time she's ever had away from us. Very much looking forward to the next opportunity for Patricia to dog sit for us again.”

“My girl came home happy and she didn't want to leave her vacation! Erica was communicative and sent a picture or video almost every day which I told her gave huge comfort to my toddler. She delivered all of Coco Chanel's meds without incidence (and even gave her bi-weekly subcutaneous shot). Thank you Erica, we will book with you again!”

“I can’t recommend Alexandra enough! She has been taking care of my dog, Milo, for quite some time now, and I always have complete peace of mind knowing he’s in her care. She and family truly treat Milo like he’s their own. He’s always so well cared for, loved, and honestly spoiled in the best way possible. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the animals she watches, and it shows in everything she does. She’s reliable, kind, attentive, and always keeps me updated, which means so much. Milo is always happy to see her, and that says it all. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, she’s the one. I wholeheartedly recommend her!”

“My pup loved Joseph. He met so many new friends and seemed so comfortable. I plan to use his services just for day to day daycare so he can get all the playtime he deserves.”

“Margaret took good care of our dog, Luna, while we were out of town. She was very easy to work with. We also really appreciated her flexibility with the pickup time, which made our travel plans much easier. We felt very comfortable knowing Luna was in good hands.”

“I have a very anxious dog who doesn’t typically eat when we are away but Meagen did what she could to make her feel more comfortable and find something that she might eat. Our dog finally started playing a little with the other dogs so that was good to hear. It was nice for us to know she was well taken care of since it was stressful for me as well.”

“I was very happy with Mac's stay with Laurel. I had shared with her that Mac loves going on walks and she took him for two long walks. She shared with me how he was doing over the course of the day. I would use Laurel again without hesitation.”

“Catherine and her family were so caring to our elderly dog. They really went out of their way to make sure his separation anxiety and old man ways were managed well. Highly recommend them!”
“Sherry was so kind and attentive to our dog. She had us do a meet-and-greet, which helped my dog to go to her when we dropped her off. She sent us pictures and videos while we were apart. She walked our dog frequently. We are grateful for her kindness to our dog.”

“Great boarding experience with Yolanda! Our Cockapoo was in great hands during her 1 week stay. She stayed in touch with us with texts and pictures while we were away. We highly recommend Yolanda!”

“I was very pleased with Karen. You can tell right away that she loves dogs. We loved the pictures she sent while we were gone. Also appreciate her accepting the last minute booking.”

“Latoya was really amazing in taking care of Madison. It was our first time with Latoya and I know we made the right decision the whole time was totally stress free. She took an excellent care of our pup and she sends us pictures and videos everyday. Madison was at home and comfortable with her care the whole time. We are definitely going back for her services the next time.”

“Dolly and her three boys took exceptional care of Parker. She has three boys and a large fencing backyard that allowed him to play amd explore in a safe environment. When we arrived, parker was immediately snatched up by her by one of her two younger sons who promptly began playing with him, pampering him and loving him. Dolly said her sons even “argued” over whose bed he would sleep in. Parker came back a happy camper and made three great buddies along the way. Additionally, Dolly kept constant contact with me and sent pictures over the course of the two days. I would highly recommend this wonderful family to look after your pet whenever you need someone to watch them.”

“Extremely happy with how happy my senior dog came home. She had a happy tail which doesnt happen alot because she does get confused often. I hope to be her customer again. Thank you for helping us care for our baby.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
