“Tim was very responsive prior and during Chase’s stay, sent pictures throughout and had him ready to go when I arrived back. Chase clearly had an enjoyable stay and I would recommend him for any future stays!”

“Mary was absolutely amazing with my dog, Nova! She took such great care of her, kept me updated with photos and messages, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I could tell Mary genuinely cares about the pets she watches. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Deepak and Derek were so great with Nala! I was nervous finding someone else to take care of her when her usual Rover sitter was not available, but they put me at ease with their pics and communication after the first day. We had to drop her off on her birthday, it made me so happy to receive a video of their family singing to her as she opened her gift! She seemed very happy with them in all the pics and videos, we would love to use them again in the future!”

About: I provide compassionate and reliable care for animals of all sizes and personalities. Whether your pet needs daily exercise, special dietary attention, or just some extra love while you’re away, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for—just like they would at home. I currently work a full-time job during the day, but I’m available for pet sitting in the evenings and on weekends. Let me know when you need! I aim to maintain their regular routine to reduce stress and help them feel secure. I ensure they’re well-fed, exercised, and given lots of affection and companionship during each visit.
“My dog had an amazing time! Holly and her husband were great. Oscar was taken care of and was very comfortable with Holly & her place. Holly shared pictures and updates. I will definitely use Holly as my first go to for dog boarding.”

“Lisa did a great job with our 1 year old lab Franklin, he was very happy there all day. Lisa sent us pictures of him playing. Would definitely use her services again!”

About: Hi! Here’s a little about me to help you feel confident leaving your pets in my care! I grew up with two dogs: a Yorkie Poo named Molly and a very energetic dachshund named Archie. Now, I share my home with a small but mighty cat named Stella and our newest addition Miles, my sweet miniature dachshund! Stella runs the house (as cats do), and Miles keeps us all on our toes with his dachshund energy. My pets are family, and I’d love to share that same love with your furry friends. I'm a teacher, so I have a flexible schedule in the summers and can work with you to make sure your pets are well cared for, walked, played with, cuddled, and most importantly, loved. We have a small fenced in back yard for any families looking for a low stress doggy play date in my home. Whether your pet needs a daily visit, a walk, or doggy daycare in my home, I’m here to help! I also offer pet sitting and playtime check-ins. I can’t wait to meet your beloved pets and give them all the love and attention they deserve. Hope to hear from you soon! I am a second grade teacher so I am available most week nights and weekends! In the summer, I am available 7 days a week for all your pets needs. I am able to watch small dogs in my home. For those larger pups, I am able travel to your home to take care of your animals. It is my job to respect each home I am in and treat all animals like they are my own!
About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. I love them! I'm not ready to get a new dog, but I'm ready to help! I'm a teacher, so this summer I can help out a lot with some exceptions - when I have vacation planned. My son would also like to help out and gain more experience. He also has experience with all types of dogs! We will give each pet a lot of attention, so that includes play time, pets, brushing, and definitely walking! Whatever help you need - we can provide it for you!
“Tielian was incredibly accommodating and thoughtful throughout our pup’s stay. She kept us updated with sweet photos, which really helped put our minds at ease while we were away. We’re so grateful for her care and would absolutely love to book with her again. Thank you, Tielian!”

About: I have been a dog owner for the past 20 years and currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat. In addition, I have been dog sitting for friends and family for several years. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages from puppies to elderly dogs as well as dogs requiring medication. I'm currently working full-time from my home so I am available week days as well as nights and weekends. My hours are somewhat flexible so I can spend some quality fun time with your dog as well as providing frequent potty breaks. I have a large fenced in yard and my own friendly dogs for yours to play with. I have extra help when my daughters are around so your dog will not lack for attention.
“Shishir and his family took great care of Teddy just like we do at home. Even though our pickup was delayed until 2:00 AM, Shishir was very accommodating. Teddy was well fed, comfortable, and happy during his stay. The warm welcome from the kids helped Teddy settle in quickly, especially since he has some anxiety issues. Teddy also got along very well with their pet, it felt more like a fun play date for him. Overall, we are very happy with the care and attention Teddy received and would highly recommend Shishir and his family.”

About: I grew up around dogs my whole life, which has informed my experience with them. I enjoy walking dogs and training them to learn new tricks. I know several dog training techniques, including positive reinforcement techniques. I can always make time out of my schedule to walk Fido or give Fluffy extra cuddles. I am available especially on Saturdays. When I'm spending time with your furbabies, it never feels like work. I care for my pets by making sure they have plenty of water and food. I also walk the dog frequently and make sure the cat has a clean litter box. For clients, I care for pets per their instructions.
“Avery was so communicative and helpful while watching Noah! She is transparent, professional, and so friendly. We have a hard time leaving our dog but felt so much better with someone who was trustworthy and reliable from our first interaction.”

“Beth was wonderful with our dogs. She provided pics and updates to keep us informed. We were able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about their care. Thank you Beth!”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover with a deep passion for their care and well-being. Growing up in a home full of pets – from bunnies and dogs to cats and aquatic animals – I’ve always felt a strong connection to all creatures. My commitment to animals goes beyond simply loving them; I believe in being a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of rescuing and caring for many dogs, especially senior pups, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience. Providing a safe, loving environment for an animal during their later years is a gift that every pet deserves, and I take great pride in offering that. With experience caring for a variety of dog breeds, sizes, and ages, I currently share my home with two small dogs and a cat – all of whom are friendly and welcoming to other animals. I’ve also had the joy of fostering several senior rescues over the years, creating a warm, loving atmosphere where every pet feels at home. No matter your pet’s needs, they’ll receive the utmost care, love, and attention from me. I look forward to meeting and caring for your beloved companion! I am a full-time pet mom, and caring for my pets is at the heart of my daily routine. As a recent graduate from Jefferson University with a degree in Interior Architecture and Design, I work full-time, but I’m fortunate to be remote most days. On a typical work-from-home day, I’m at my desk with one of my dogs either lounging in my lap or resting by my feet, while my cat comes and goes to check in on us. We take frequent potty breaks throughout the day, and I love rewarding them with occasional treats for being such good girls! On the days I work in the office, I usually get home between 4:30 and 5 PM, so I’m able to spend quality time with my pets after work. Weekends are always fully available for pet care, and I make sure to dedicate plenty of time to play, walks, and cuddles. I prioritize a loving and structured routine for my pets, and I’ll bring that same level of care and attention to your pets. Whether I’m working from home or out of the office, your pet will be treated as part of my family, receiving all the attention, love, and care they deserve. When caring for pets in my home or your home, safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities. I ensure a secure environment by closely monitoring the pets, keeping them in a safe, pet-friendly space, and always following any specific instructions provided by the pet owner. At my home, I have a comfortable and clean space for pets to relax, with plenty of room for play and exploration and also a fenced in yard. My own pets are well-socialized, and I carefully introduce new animals to make sure everyone feels at ease. I make sure to always supervise interactions and ensure that pets have a peaceful, stress-free experience. In your home, I take the time to follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, maintaining consistency with feeding, exercise, and playtime. I also make sure to follow any additional rules or preferences you may have, whether it’s keeping your pet away from certain areas or offering specific treats. Above all, I strive to build a bond with your pet based on trust and love, providing them with the care and attention they need while you're away. You can rest assured that your pet will receive the same level of attention, compassion, and safety that I give to my own animals.
“Ganesh did a great job taking care of my dog Luna for over 2 weeks when I was on vacation. She's happy and looks great, unlike another dog I had that I left in a shelter a few years ago. He provided frequent updates and pictures so I didn't have to worry about her. I highly recommend him for your dog sitting needs.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Thorndale
Lori took great care of my little Pomeranian while I was away on a family vacation. My dog had a great time and seeing the sweet look in his eyes as he said his goodbyes to Lori spoke volumes. While my dog is an easy keeper, he likes to be babied. Lori and her kids gave my little diva-boy all the attention he craved. I'd give Lori 6 six out of five stars if I could! Thanks, Lori. You are a delight!

This was Theo’s first time using Rover and his first extended stay away from us, so we were naturally nervous. Bart made the entire experience so much easier with regular updates and great communication, which gave us real peace of mind. Theo settled in well, got along with the other pets and kids, and came home happy and well cared for. We’re so grateful to have found Bart and wouldn’t hesitate to trust him with Theo again. Thank you, Bart!
Slugger stayed with Samantha for the weekend. She sent us pictures and updates everyday. She was very flexible with drop off and pick up times which is great. Slugger has so much fun and loves the company of the other dogs. We will definitely be using Samantha again in the future.

This was our first time using Lorraine and Rover. We couldn't have found a better person to watch our senior pooch. From our first meeting, we felt our girl was in a safe healthy environment and Lorraine was a caring, reliable sitter. Over the 2 week stay, Lorraine sent updates and pictures showing a contended, happy pooch. We highly recommend Lorraine. A+

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
