“Melissa and Cody are wonderful and so is their dog! My dog is an active senior dog (so she needs long walks and lots of pets and kisses) who didn't do well at a traditional boarding facility so I was a little nervous about boarding her rather than using a dog sitter in our home. Haven was so happy -- she loved Mel and Cody. She made herself right at home -- they have a fenced in backyard and lots of places to walk. I was very impressed and will definitely use them again! THANK YOU!”

“Wenji was very kind, and her daughter absolutely loves dogs, so Nina seemed to have been loved and had a great time during her one night boarding. Wenji kept me updated on Nina’s status from time to time, and I would be happy to use her boarding service next time🥰”

“Tina took care of our high energy, 15-month-old shepherd mix JoJo for 8 nights and we couldn't be more pleased with how her stay went! It was the first time we have left her anywhere and she did great! Tina was very quick to respond when we initially reached out to her back in February and scheduled a meet and greet the very next day. We were so happy to see JoJo would have a great big fenced in backyard to play in! When the time came to drop her off, Tina was flexible with the time, and we received daily updates and pictures the entire time we were away. The day we picked her up Tina was again flexible and while JoJo was happy to see us, she was also in a very happy mood, and it seemed like she had just had the best time! We are told she ate well the whole time and adjusted well on the very first night. Would highly recommend having your fur-baby stay with Tina and we would not hesitate to leave our JoJo with her again.”

“I left my dog with Matthew for a long weekend and he took excellent care of him. My dog usually has severe separation anxiety and is clingy and stressed for a day or two after I come home from a trip, but he settled in quickly with Matthew and was happy and relaxed afterward. I wouldn't hesitate to leave my pup with him again, highly recommended!”

“Brian and his family are the best when it comes to watching our boy. Our big Golden recently developed a fear of thunderstorms and sure enough, it thundered the last two times Brian watched him. Brian and his family treated our boy like he was there own and comforted him through the storms. We are so grateful.”

“Casie and Karim watched my 11 month old Bernese Mountain Dog mix for a week when I took a trip to Florida. They took excellent care of him and sent me videos everyday. I would highly recommend Casie and Karim and will definitely be using them again. My dog had the best staycation!!”

“Very nice guy. We love our dog, he is like one of our children. We usually take him everywhere we go. John made us comfortable, and sent pictures for my daughter to reinsure her that he was all right.I will definitely use him again if available .”
“Diego and Amelia are wonderful! They have a warm and inviting home, your pet will be happy here! My dog stayed with them for a week and he was very well taken care of. I got updates and pictures daily and they were very responsive.”

“Ben, Julie, Winter and Rosy were wonderful hosts to Sox! Thank you for taking great care of him - having that peace of mind makes traveling a whole lot easier. I know Sox had a great time!! Thank you again and I have no hesitation in recommending Ben!”

“I recently had the pleasure of leaving my dog, Finn, in Chonlada's care, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From the moment we dropped him off, it was clear that Chonlada treats her furry guests as if they were her own. Finn had a fantastic time running around and exploring the spacious outdoor area. Chonlada kept us updated throughout the weekend, sharing photos and messages that really put our minds at ease. It was incredibly reassuring to know Finn was having such a great time. We will definitely be using her services again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Deb and Mike were fantastic! They showed so much attention and care when watching Wilson, making sure to write down all of his routines and eccentricities before we dropped him off. We received regular updates with pictures while we were away, and even got a full journal of his daily activities when we picked him up - what a nice touch! It was obvious from the beginning they really cared about Wilson and made him as comfortable as possible in his temporary home. We will certainly use them again in the future.”
“Yolanda was great with my dog, Faith. She was kept busy, active and clearly well cared for. She was with her for a week and we got daily updates, pictures, videos of all the fun she was having. I was worried she may not want to come home! Yolanda was easy to work with and coordinate drop off, pick up etc. I would definitely use Yolanda again.”

“Thank you very much Deepak and Derek for taking care of Angel. I believe she was very happy and I could not have asked for better caring person than you Deepak. You will be my first choice for taking care of Angel in future.”

About: Who said dogs were the only pets that know how to do tricks? My cat’s (strong) drive for food has helped me in teaching her how to sit, and put up with all of the love I give her. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each cat’s unique personality, even the aloof fur babies. Whether they’re playful and outgoing or shy and independent, I take the time to let them warm up at their own pace.🩵🐈⬛ Watching my boyfriend’s high-energy Rottweiler/Bully mix has given me hands-on experience with a dog that keeps myself, and everyone within a mile radius on their toes! Through a strong amount of patience and unwavering consistency (even with all of his cuteness), I’ve taught him ways to help him develop better manners and impulse control. I’ve learned how to channel his energy into learning new tricks. I’ve become confident in finding ways to help even the most energetic dogs settle down and relax. 💕🐶 I work part time during the week as a support staff for adults with autism. I am available every Monday and Wednesday after 4pm, Tuesdays after 1pm, and Thursdays after 2pm. 😊 I ensure all tiny items a puppy or teething dog can choke on are put away. Leashing before walking outside is a must, even with the most well behaved animals. Double checking that the doors are closed is essential, and will never feed your pet food/treats that have not been approved by you.

We had a wonderful experience with Barbara, first time using her. She sent daily updates with a little message about how our dog was doing, along with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while away. It was clear he was well cared for and happy. Highly recommend!

Keerthi and Jay were wonderful! They are such a sweet couple, and I felt completely comfortable going on vacation and leaving my pup in their care, despite his separation anxiety. I loved receiving the daily updates and photos, and Keerthi was fantastic about reaching out with any concerns. It is such a relief to find sitters who are so attentive and caring. I highly recommend them!
Julia was absolutely fantastic with our dog. We were out of town for a sports tournament and I was a little nervous about leaving him while we were busy, but she put me completely at ease. She has a beautiful, pet‑friendly home, and our dog had the best time—he was so happily worn out that he slept almost the entire drive home after his exhilarating weekend with Julia and her sweet fur baby. So thankful for Julia’s care and the peace of mind she gave us.

Meaghan did a wonderful job watching Molly for the first time for a week . She has a great yard for them to play. she kept me updated with photos and video and was always available with messages. She does watch several dogs at a time but gives them all the attention needed. Already booked my next visit

We boarded our dog, Boo, with Valerie for a week while we were out of town. Valerie did a great job, she was very caring and responsive, she sent us photos/updates often and she took initiative to help our nervous dog get comfortable in a new environment. Our girl was in great hands with Valerie and her family. Thanks again! :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
