“Susan took very good care of my dog Arlo. She constantly sent pics and keep me posted about how my dog is doing. I will definitely consider sending my dog to Susan for boarding when needed.”

“We cannot say enough wonderful things about Melissa & Cody! Our two Springer Spaniels spent 4 nights with Melissa & Cody and had the BEST time! They were entertained with exercise, and loving attention the whole time. We were sent lots of videos and updates throughout their stay. The dogs were so happy when we picked them up. We could tell they had the very best care. It was like sending them to the most fun overnight doggy camp! On top of it, Melissa & Cody are such genuinely kind people. We are so very grateful!!!”

“I had an emergency I had to leave town for and Avery responded quickly and was so accommodating! She kept in touch while I was away and my pup seemed to have a great time with her!”

“Alexa's great!! She told me that Luna cuddled with her cat and got along well with her dog. I am appreciative that she was flexible with pickup and dropoff. Would definitely ask her again :)”

“My dog had an amazing time! Holly and her husband were great. Oscar was taken care of and was very comfortable with Holly & her place. Holly shared pictures and updates. I will definitely use Holly as my first go to for dog boarding.”

“Keerthi and Jay are most reliable and caring pet sitters. Our doodle fell sick due to a viral infection — they both took utmost care of her including getting the medication from the vet’s office and administering it as per instructions. Piper was better within a day, they kept us closely informed of her progress. We cannot thank them enough for taking care of Piper, she seemed relaxed and comforted under their care. We highly recommend their services.”

Whether your pet needs daily exercise, special dietary attention, or just some extra love while you’re away, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for—just like they would at home. I currently work a full-time job during the day, but I’m available for pet sitting in the evenings and on weekends. Let me know when you need! “Chassy saved us from having to put Ranger in a pet hotel when we had a family emergency on a Saturday. She was extremely flexible with drop off and pickup times and took him out to potty one last time when we were on our way to pick him up. She and her boyfriend took great care of Ranger! We were a little worried with Ranger being a bigger dog that he would pull Chassy on walks but her boyfriend was there to keep him from pulling. They live in a nice area with a dog park so Ranger and her dog Remix were able to play of leash! When we brought Ranger home he was so tired out he went start to his bed, the exact way you want your puppy to come home! We are so grateful to have found Chassy and looking forward to using her again!”
“Thanks so much to Beth and her family for taking care of Hero. On the way home, Hero told me how much fun that he had playing with his new friends Phoebe, Vita, and even Leo the cat. Beth is on my short list for sitters from now on.”

“Arfel and her husband truly took care of Bevo like he was their own. He got along great with all of their doggies and we felt so safe leaving him with them for a long weekend. We got multiple pictures and even videos while away which just proved he was in good hands. We will definitely be having puppy playdates in the future!”

“Lisa did a great job with our 1 year old lab Franklin, he was very happy there all day. Lisa sent us pictures of him playing. Would definitely use her services again!”

About: I have had pets in my home since I was born, and currently have a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old back at home with my mom now. I fostered a pup from ACCT Philly for a few months, volunteered at the Humane Society, and often dog-sit for friends/ family. I have class every day for 1-3 hours, but I am open anytime outside of my class hours and have a super flexible, accommodating schedule. I follow their request and expectation for how their dog is to be treated and cared for, while giving them appropriate attention and exercise. I ensure I am present to care for the dog and ensure all their needs are met.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Downingtown
Erica was a professional, compassionate, dependable, communicative caretaker for our dog from the first minute to the last. She took excellent care of our 9 yo Lab while we were in France for ten days. We are incredibly grateful and would request her services again in a heartbeat.

Lori took great care of my little Pomeranian while I was away on a family vacation. My dog had a great time and seeing the sweet look in his eyes as he said his goodbyes to Lori spoke volumes. While my dog is an easy keeper, he likes to be babied. Lori and her kids gave my little diva-boy all the attention he craved. I'd give Lori 6 six out of five stars if I could! Thanks, Lori. You are a delight!

This was our first time using Lorraine and Rover. We couldn't have found a better person to watch our senior pooch. From our first meeting, we felt our girl was in a safe healthy environment and Lorraine was a caring, reliable sitter. Over the 2 week stay, Lorraine sent updates and pictures showing a contended, happy pooch. We highly recommend Lorraine. A+

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
