“Eleanor Kevin and their extended family of lovely children were great with our 2 labradoodles during our extended stay. They showered our dogs with love and playtime. They were very communicative through the whole process, flexible around a last minute pick up time request and were also very kind sending pictures to us. We know our dogs had a blast and we know we will be going to them in the future!”

About: I have first hand experience with having a dog I adopted a dog in 2021 and took care of him on my own, I unfortunately had to put my fur baby down in April. While I had him we did training sessions and basic command training. I also am educated in working with anxious dogs as my baby was very anxious. I also grew up with cats and dogs my whole life as well. I also am in veterinary nursing school at Harcum and can work with animals who need medical assistance. I am currently in school for veterinary nursing, Although I am only at school for a few hours a day. Other than that I am home. I also live 15 minutes from campus. I do not have a yard, but I love walking dogs, and have been trained in how to properly walk dogs in a training I took my dog to. I also have the ability to crate the dog when needed, and can accommodate to any of your pets needs.
“Tielian took excellent care of our dog while we were out of town. We were provided with photos and updates each day during our dog’s stay, which we appreciated. We will definitely use Tielian again the next time we go out of town and need a dog sitter! Highly recommend.”

“Where to begin? I’m traditionally a mess when I have to leave my little man to travel for my job. Or should I say I used to be a mess. And then Juliana entered our lives and my stress vanished. Could not have been a better experience. Spoiled our little guy while he was there and keep me in the loop with adorable photos at every step. Very grateful for Rover helping make this connection.”

“David is a tentative and passionate animal caretaker. His home provides a safe haven for your pet. I will be certain to seek his service in the near future. Jacqueline”

About: Who said dogs were the only pets that know how to do tricks? My cat’s (strong) drive for food has helped me in teaching her how to sit, and put up with all of the love I give her. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each cat’s unique personality, even the aloof fur babies. Whether they’re playful and outgoing or shy and independent, I take the time to let them warm up at their own pace.🩵🐈⬛ Watching my boyfriend’s high-energy Rottweiler/Bully mix has given me hands-on experience with a dog that keeps myself, and everyone within a mile radius on their toes! Through a strong amount of patience and unwavering consistency (even with all of his cuteness), I’ve taught him ways to help him develop better manners and impulse control. I’ve learned how to channel his energy into learning new tricks. I’ve become confident in finding ways to help even the most energetic dogs settle down and relax. 💕🐶 I work part time during the week as a support staff for adults with autism. I am available every Monday and Wednesday after 4pm, Tuesdays after 1pm, and Thursdays after 2pm. 😊 I ensure all tiny items a puppy or teething dog can choke on are put away. Leashing before walking outside is a must, even with the most well behaved animals. Double checking that the doors are closed is essential, and will never feed your pet food/treats that have not been approved by you.

“Karim and Casie provided Maggie with great care. They were very quick to respond and provided us with a lot of videos during the stay so we didn’t have to worry about Maggie.”

About: I have had dogs and all sorts of pets in my house my whole life. I have experience with dogs of all types and ages from training puppies only a couple months old to caring for very old dogs. I constantly take care of neighbors and friends dogs when they’re away and I can’t wait to love on yours as well. 💗 I am a rising senior student-athlete at WCU and have a good amount of during the day most days to walk dogs as well as plenty of time most weekends to dog sit/house sit. I always keep on eye on the pet and in the same room as me if dog/housesitting. I give them plenty of love and attention and let them out and for walks whenever needed and instructed. I will love each and every pet I work with as my own!
“We have a little 3 month old daschound, after weeks of calling doggy day cares on Google and prices being outrageous, charging fees for "cuddle time" etc. I looked on Rover and found Julianna. Absolutely amazing set up, Huck has become best friends with her dog. He is so tuckered out from playing all day he finally sleeps through the night. Boarded him while we were away, to be able to board at his regular day care is such a great additional to routine. Im pretty sure Huck would trade us in to live there lol”

“Lori was fantastic! She was able to take Colby last minute, and it worked out perfectly. Lori was so sweet and I know that Colby was lovingly cared for. She sent us pictures and stayed in touch.”

“Our Pippa enjoyed her lengthy stay with Andres! Andres kept in contact to let us know Pippa was doing well and gave us a great outbrief when we picked her up. Thank you, Andres!”

“My dog had a great stay! They were so warm and welcoming, and their home is super cozy. They were also very flexible and easy to work with, which I really appreciated. I felt completely comfortable leaving my dog in their care and would happily book with them again!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and have cared for several dogs over the years. I currently have two small dogs of my own, a Yorkshire Terrier and a Maltese, and they are both very friendly and comfortable around other dogs. My Yorkie is 8 years old, so I have plenty of hands-on experience with daily care, feeding, walking, playtime, and giving dogs the attention they need. I spend a lot of time at home, which allows me to keep a close eye on the dogs in my care and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I truly enjoy having dogs around and will treat your dog like part of the family while they stay with us 🐶 I will be home with the dogs throughout the day, so they get plenty of attention and regular potty breaks. We already have our own dogs, so caring for dogs is a natural part of our daily routine. I’m available for both daytime daycare and overnight boarding. Our home is in a quiet area with plenty of space between neighbors, which makes it a peaceful place for dogs to relax and feel at home. We keep our home clean, quiet, and comfortable for our dogs and visiting pups. The house is regularly cleaned and disinfected, and we do an extra cleaning before every new stay. Potty pads are changed frequently, and we use air purifiers indoors to help keep the space fresh and odor-free. Our own dogs also receive regular flea and tick prevention. Most importantly, someone is home throughout the day to keep an eye on the dogs and make sure they are safe and comfortable.
“Lily is absolutely amazing. She treats our Charlie like family. She’s reasonable and listens to your questions and concerns. We absolutely love her! Thank you Lily for treating our Charlie as your own”

“All the hype about Dante is true! He’s communicative, accommodating, and really great energy. He asks a lot of questions to ensure my Kado was well taken care of. Dante is someone who truly loves what he does and that makes me happy. I think Kado and I found a permanent sitter until Dante retires us lol”

“I can’t recommend Alexandra enough! She has been taking care of my dog, Milo, for quite some time now, and I always have complete peace of mind knowing he’s in her care. She and family truly treat Milo like he’s their own. He’s always so well cared for, loved, and honestly spoiled in the best way possible. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the animals she watches, and it shows in everything she does. She’s reliable, kind, attentive, and always keeps me updated, which means so much. Milo is always happy to see her, and that says it all. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, she’s the one. I wholeheartedly recommend her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Chester
Leigh was great! She accepted the booking of our Scooby, who has some medical issues, with only a few weeks notice when another sitter on Rover had to cancel. She sent multiple photos and updates each day and was responsive to our requests. Scooby had a great time playing with Leigh's golden retriever, Scarlet, and I've never seen him look happier in the photos she sent. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Leigh again in the future.
This was my first time boarding my dog Lulu with Ami and James. Ami and James are great communicators and kept me posted on Lulu's walks, sleep, eating habits and provided lots of pictures. A few days into her stay, Lulu started with bloody stools/diarrhea. They were quick to let me know and ask what I thought would help. After a day or two, her condition did not improve, and we made arrangements for her to see her vet. Ami took her over the next morning and kept me posted on the recommendations which were low fat food and probiotics that could be purchased at the vet clinic. Ami and James followed all of the doctor's instructions to the letter, and kept me posted on Lulu's progress which was pretty quick. I could not ask for better care than what was provided by Ami and James and was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation knowing that Lulu was in good hands.
Reliable, kind, and communicative.Emma went above and beyond, The care, attention to detail, follow up, professionalism, and the love she has for her job and her furry clients are just a few shining examples of her superior work ethic. We were gone for almost a week and I could enjoy my trip knowing she was there taking care of and giving the best of care to my dog. Will definitely book again!😍
Avery is amazing! Truly. She watched out pup at her home for a week while we were on vacation. Everything went beyond smoothly and our pup had the time of her life. It’s like she got a vacation too. Avery gave her so much love and attention. She is also an excellent communicator! We got photos and updates everyday. We are so grateful to her!!

We absolutely love this sitter! Our "pup" Rocky always has a great time, no matter how long we leave him. He always comes back smelling fresh and in amazingly great spirits. This is not always the case with other sitters. Danyele and her entire family are amazing and a wonderful home-away-from home for Rocky. Thanks Danyele!

Melina took great care of my pup Riley! I needed someone very last minute for an entire week when my original pet care fell through. She responded quickly and I was able to get it figured out. She communicated great, sent updates every day, and I could tell Riley had a great time. Will be using her again in the future!

Kayla is the best!! We needed someone to watch our puppy, and she was so professional, warm, and friendly. As new puppy parents, leaving him with someone new was very frightening, but Kayla made us feel comfortable and safe, knowing our puppy was in great hands. He LOVES her and bonded with her immediately. It’s amazing to know he has another home with Kayla, and we will definitely book her again.

We were very happy with Beau’s 2-week “staycation” with Meghan. She understood what he needs in terms of affection, play time, and exercise and made sure all his needs were met. Beau has little interest in other dogs, in general, but he and her dog definitely bonded during his stay. We highly, highly recommend Meghan as a dog sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
