âAt first we were apprehensive about choosing a new individual to care for our pets. Our first interaction with Brady was that he was a typical uninterested young man who would be ok, but be nothing special. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised and wrong in our initial assessment. Our assumption that he was disinterested was really him easily and fully understanding our needs the first time we explained them. He only asked intentional and poinient questions to get exactly the information he needed to provide an exceptional service; he didn't need additional clarification which made us think, wrongly, he was not fully engaged. Don't let his approach and directness fool you; he is fully committed to the job at hand and able to accommodate your and your pets' needs. Brady was excellent with our dog and cat while we were away. He took extra time to play with them daily even though it wasn't required. He was also easily willing to check on the house, find a missing mail package, and ensure the dog (who has storm anxiety) was her usual self after a major storm. He was very responsive to texts through the app even at odd times of day. We appreciate his willingness to be flexible with our delayed and changing flights and his anticipation of our needs. We will definitely use his services again and recommend him to others.â

âErin was wonderful! We have an older dog and needed help fairly last minute for a trip. She was so responsive and came to visit before we left. She kept our girl happy and loved! We will definitely reach out to Erin for future needs!â

I understand that every pet has a unique personality. Some pets love active play and exercise, while others prefer quiet companionship and extra cuddles. I take the time to build trust and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while youâre away. I have a flexible schedule that would offer me the opportunity to work with you and providing what you need for your pet care needs When caring for pets in a clientâs home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, fresh water, medications (if needed), walks, playtime, and any specific preferences your pet may have. âVu did exactly what I asked and provided thoughtful updates with photos included. He went above and beyond for my cats and left me feeling very comfortable that they received the best care while I was gone. Thank you Vu!â

âJen was great! We have a very spirited rescue dog and she was so patient and wonderful with him. She won him over quickly. She even washed some items for us when he had an accident in between visits! We really appreciated Jen and would definitely use her again!â

About: I have been around and taken care of pets my whole life so I know what they need and how to satisfy them. I have have taken care of dogs of all ages and cats as well. I am currently working part-time so I will be able to give me free time to providing the best care possible for all pets. Weekends are the most free for me but I also have plenty of time Mondays through Fridays. I make sure to treat all dogs and cats as if they were my own. During walks, I prioritize safety, exercise, and fun while paying close attention to each dog's unique personality and needs. Whether your pup loves long walks, exploring new smells, or taking things at a slower pace, I'll make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. You can count on me to provide reliable, attentive care and keep you updated so you have peace of mind while your pet is with me.
About: I am able to give medication and medical shots to pets, I have experience with this as my one dog has diabetes and requires two shots a day. My other dog is a reactive dog as well so I have some experience in trying to handle a reactive dog. I also have had multiple puppies and senior dogs that have exposed me to the different type of care and attention they need, especially when the owners are away. I have experience with dog sitting since I watched my neighbors dogs for years now and have previously worked with one of their dogs that had special needs. I am in the summer before I leave for college so I am home and able to watch the pets at pretty much anytime needed. I am busy with softball tournaments some weekends, but the weekends I do not have that I am around in the area mainly at anytime. I am able to crate a dog, take a walk friendly dog out on walks, feed them, administered medication if required, and play with the dog.
âChelsea was kind enough to drop in and take care of my two space cadets. She had excellent communication, was very patient with them and kept to their schedule. We will absolutely be utilizing her again in the future.â

âDani & Anthony are amazing!!!! I received daily updates and pictures of Remi the whole time I was away. They both made my trip 100 times better knowing Remi was being well taken care of.â

âDear Makayla, thank you so much for taking wonderful care of Christy while we were away. I appreciate your dedication and compassion. I wish you and your family a wonderful new year.â

âStephen was very responsive. We reached out to him kind of last minute, but he was still able to set up a meet and greet prior to his drop in visit. I would highly recommend him. very professional, and my dogs seems to really like him.â

âMaggie was absolutely fabulous with our two senior cats who are set in their ways! She was able to coax them out from hiding and they even accepted some pets from her (thatâs not an easy task). She left our home neat and clean. If youâre looking for someone reliable, kind, and respectful - Maggie should be your choice!!!â

âKailyn was very responsive and communicative from the start. She sent lots of great photos of Rex and offered such a great peace of mind knowing that he was in great hands while we were away. I highly recommend her and will book again with her in the future!â

About: Personal: Since I was little Verterenarian was always my dream job.. of course things change. I instead went into the Marine Corps and then opened a new chapter in Swim Instruction and Lifeguarding. Back then was when I got my first Cat in 2012. Currently I'm becoming certified in Massage Therapy and hope to move on to animal accupressure and therapy as well, so I'm unavailable between 7:30am and 2pm Mon-Thursday. I've been told by various people throughout my life how I have "the touch" and that they or their pets feel oddly soothed by me. I have even met people and their dogs while on hikes and been invited right there to care for their picky pets(uninterested in humans.) It's always special when dogs come to me for comfort in a room full of people which has happened a few times. One of the most notable ones was an old Sheltie who wouldn't come out from behind the couch (afraid of lightning); I wound up holding her failing hips and hitting some feel-good points to coax her out and back to normal. I grew up with a Husky/Lab/Chow mix and a Yorkie-Poo. Later I shared/trained a MinPin-Chiuwuawa and most recently had my own Jack Russell/Chiuwawa mix and would always get compliments on how well-behaved they were. I'm intuitive, empathetic, and can hit certain spots when massaging them or just transfer energy somehow that seems to really speak their language. I'm an animal too in every good sense of the word! My life experiences have trained me to think on my feet and innovate my way out of any obstacle, with a laugh in my heart and a respect for the waves. Schedule: When I schedule through Rover, it has my full attention, and I won't leave to do other work unless it's specifically OK'd through you (then I may go out just to do a few deliveries and come back within 2 hours... though I certainly wouldn't leave 2 unfamiliar doggies alone whatsoever even if they were friends!) I can rise to your preference of potty and meal schedule, no sweat! If you're okay with your dog staying home during school for extended trips you may need to take, we can set them up in their own room or area of the house. Safety, Trust & Environment: I'd like to introduce my dog Pitunia as an extremely sweet, curious, receptive dude. We take big camping trips with friend's families (dogs, kids) and do exceptionally well. Each animal can perceive various tones in voice or touch or types of play differently, so I do take safety quite seriously. We don't play tug without practicing "LET GO" - I think it's relatable playing with toys and having some accidental nips - that said he really amazes me by Letting Go. I make sure to reward for every good behavior and only teach "no" if I'm distinguishing between "yes.". When we have multiple dogs it's important to feed at the same time and in separate areas. I typically have mine "wait" and he will sit or lay in his area until I set down the food, which comes in handy for multi-dog safety âşď¸ Pitunia and I have also completed the Paws For People Therapy Program, where we trained with other dogs weekly to condition for working in hospitals, etc, so he is such a well-trained marshmallow. Manners tend to need constant upkeep though, as I'm sure you probably know with your loveable friend who might Also be: inquisitive eager jumpin and bumpin with affection, tail whippin butt wigglin and kissin!!! So we always keep at itđ.
âErin, did a wonderful job sitting my very shy German Shepherd. She provided updates and pictures which assured me that my pup was ok. I plan on booking Erin again.â

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
