“Danica was great with Sophie (who is now a senior and needs her daily meds). Responds quickly, made last minute alterations as requested (my fault that I had my dates wrong), and followed all of Sophie’s needs to a T. Would highly recommend!”

“Stephen was absolutely wonderful watching Brick and Odie! He went above and beyond, sending us pictures, taking them on a nice walk, and keeping us updated. His communication was excellent, and we could tell our dogs were happy and well cared for. We’re so grateful for his help and look forward to having him watch them again!”
“This is our second booking with Tiara and it was a great experience again. Twice a day visits for five cats is no small task! The regular check ins and pictures are appreciate while we’re away. Especially if our older cat that’s a little shy. She has won them over, and we’ll be booking her to come again for our next trip.”

“Lila was amazing with my dog Hank. He was very well taken care of and loved. She arrived on time, followed all of my instructions and took great care of my pup! I would recommend her and I will definitely be hiring her again! Thank you Lila!!!”

“Chelsea was kind enough to drop in and take care of my two space cadets. She had excellent communication, was very patient with them and kept to their schedule. We will absolutely be utilizing her again in the future.”

“Jordan's so great. Very easy to work with. I really appreciated the communication and care she provided when meeting Aurora, who can get nervous around new people. Definitely recommend.”

About: Walk time, play time, and snuggle time are all big parts of owning and loving a dog, and happen to be 3 of my favorite things. My 8 year old coonhound mix Wilbur loves to play tug and chase with his BFFs, Chase and Stitch, and would love to meet your pet if you'd like! Not every dog wants play, some need one on one time. I'm here because I love dogs and am in tune with their needs. I pay attention to what they are trying to tell me. I've grown up with dogs my entire life, from mutts to Cairn Terriers to Beagles to Pibulls to St. Bernards, and have yet to find a dog that doesn't like me. Even when their owner said they wouldn't. Even better than that, dogs listen to me inherently and when I come upon a stubborn pup, I know that patience and positive rewards trump everything! Wilbur's BFF Beau was a rescue from animal torturous testing and had many special needs. He was also a flight risk. I dog sat Beau and Lily for 7 years and have learned to never underestimate a Beagle's brain, they will not hesitate to outsmart you. Wilbur grew up with his now deceased BFFs Lily (super mutt) and Beau (Beagle) since he was 3.5 months old, so I have experience with puppies as well as senior pups who need attentive care. Beau and Lily required meds and special diet as they aged and lived their full lives. Thank you and I look forward to adding your pup to my 4-legged friend list! I'm currently working part time, so your pet will easily fit into my schedule. My hours are flexible and my car is reliable, ready to transport a new friend! I have a fenced in yard and gated wrap around porch, as well as 2 beagles (ages 5 and 7), and a medium sized Wilbur (age 8). At your home harnesses and leashes will always be on before any doors are opened. I can crate your dog as well, if you prefer that.
“Rachael was awesome! From first meeting Rachael (and having a butterfly land her, which felt like a sign), we had a good feeling about leaving our two pups in her care. When it came time for the stay, our dogs loved her (even our shy/stand-offish one), and we came back to a neat house. Wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to her again. Thank you so much for taking great care of our pups!”

“Eric has taken care of my two dogs several times now and he has done an AMAZING job. One of my dogs is basically 100lbs of love and the other is 40lbs of energy. He handles both very well. He updates us every visit with pictures and they look pretty darn happy! Eric also has been incredible at taking my last minute appointments which makes him my dog whispering lifesaver.”

“Vu did exactly what I asked and provided thoughtful updates with photos included. He went above and beyond for my cats and left me feeling very comfortable that they received the best care while I was gone. Thank you Vu!”

“Glenna confirmed the booking on short notice and kept me posted every step of the way on her visit. Slugger has a lot of energy but she knows how to navigate it and keep him on track while on his walks. I know he’s always in good hands when Glenna comes to check him.”

“Leigh was great and so flexible with my last minutes needs! Every detail was followed and Duch was well taken care of! I definitely recommend Leigh and will be rebooking in the future!!”

“Casey is always reliable and communicative when she takes care of our kitties, which we very much appreciate. The kitties get excellent care from her, and we love seeing their photos on the report cards when we’re away- it’s lets us know they are thriving, and removes some of the worry that can build when we have to leave our kitties at home to travel. Thanks!”

“We are pleased with Teresa's pet sitting! She did a great job on the first assignment with our cats. They are kept separate, and it is a bit of a juggling act to get their needs taken care of and get a rapport with them (especially the first time!). She showed concern for getting along with them and helping them to feel comfortable with her. We appreciate her taking care of our cats and being mindful of our requests! Thank you, Teresa!”

“Alyssa is great! She is friendly and professional and took great care of our dogs. They loved her! We will definitely be contacting her again in the future.”

“Kailyn is amazing!! We left our kitties in her care for 9 days, and she took the best care of them! She was very professional and communicated extremely well! There was a snow storm when we were away, and she was great at keeping us updated on road closures and travel difficulties! I would recommend her to anyone who needs their cats or dogs taken care of! We plan on using her services in the future! Our kitties will miss seeing her daily!”

“Emma was great with Nemo and Aria! I’m always a little nervous leaving them, but she made it easy and stress free. She kept me posted the whole time and took excellent care of them both. I want to also call out how she was very accommodating with the short notice.”

“I really appreciated Brenna caring for my two cats over the busy holiday. It was my first experience using a pet sitter as well as my first time leaving my cats. Brenna was willing to come for an introduction and was very responsive to all communication. She also quickly modified the contract when needed. She seems to have a way with animals and they take to her very well. On the pet cam footage, I could see my cat, Bogey, follow her around - so cute! Would recommend!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mortonville. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
