About: I am an avid dog lover. I have owned several dogs in my lifetime, and I volunteer at Canine Partners for Life. I understand that finding affordable animal care with someone you trust can be hard, I am okay negotiating my prices if need be. I am comfortable being around all sizes of animals. I love both dogs and cats. I currently own three cats. I have helped one of my dogs give birth and I spent time in the whelping area at Canine Partners for Life. I work full time but I work a block away from home. I have time throughout the day to check in on things if needed and I have a very flexible work schedule. I have cameras set up so I can monitor any animals in my home. I currently only own a cat which is much more low maintenance than a dog. I don't have to do potty breaks with her but I do often go spend time with her on my lunch break. We play after I get home from work.
About: I've been taking care of my corgi, Muffin, for 10+ years since she was a puppy! Trained, fed, walked, played, etc. I've done drop-by visits for both dogs and cats for pet parents who are traveling. I've also taken care of my neighbors dogs many times while the owners were out on vacation. Also included in my photos are farm animals that I had the pleasure of hanging out with the past two summers! Happy to accommodate to your pet sitting needs! As an upcoming college student currently working a part time job this summer, I have some free time to spare! I would love to help out in any way I can. In my home, me and my corgi play fetch and lounge around outside in our big fenced in backyard! I will put in the same amount of effort for your pets that I do for mine. There are also many amazing parks nearby where I walk my dog!
About: Hi, I’m Maya! I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life—dogs, cats, and even horses—and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I started pet sitting for neighbors and family friends around age 15, and since then, I’ve gained years of hands-on experience with pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your furry family members. I’ve helped raise playful puppies, provided comfort to senior pets, and everything in between. Whether your pet needs energetic playtime, relaxing walks, or just a cuddle buddy while you’re away, I’m here to help. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and right at home. I take pride in being dependable, detail-oriented, and genuinely passionate about animals. I’d love to meet you and your pet, let’s set up a meet and greet soon! I am currently home from college for the summer and have a flexible schedule to fit your needs! I’d love to work around your busy schedule! I have a fenced-in yard and an extremely playful, friendly English Cream Golden Retriever who is two years old and loves playdates! I also have two cats of my own. Pets in my care get plenty of exercise, attention, and affection in a safe, loving environment. I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel right at home. I’ve also had the privilege of caring for a three-legged dog in the past, which taught me how to adapt to special needs and provide compassionate, attentive care for pets of all abilities.
“Danica has been great with my anxious dog! Maci warmed up to her very quickly. Danica is very flexible and accommodating with my crazy schedule. Maci is in a good mood when I get home on days when Danica takes her for a walk!”
About: I've grew up taking care of my family pets along with pet sitting for neighbors. I love animals and have 1 dog and 3 cats myself which I've adopted. You can rely on me to walk, feed, bathe or even give medicine to your pet if needed. My schedule is very flexible if you need me to take your dog for a walk during the day or need a pet sitter during the week/weekend I am available. My apartment is spacious with a park right up the block making it great and convenient for walking pets. I have one dog and three cats who all get along and could keep your dog company. I know each person has their own way to take care of their pets so I can follow whatever instructions that you may have for me.
“My 2 girls really enjoy their walk with Kathryn. She takes the time to get to know your dog and really appreciate the notes she leaves after each walk.. I now have her walk them on a weekly schedule. I highly recommend as she truly goes above and beyond”

I love making sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away — whether that means long walks, playtime, or quiet cuddles. I’m a part-time student with a flexible schedule, which allows me to spend plenty of time with your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care throughout the week and weekends. I love keeping pets on their usual routine and making sure they get lots of attention and exercise. I have a safe, pet-friendly home with a fenced yard and two friendly dogs who love company. “Renee has cared for my 10 month old Doberman puppy for 5 months now on weeks when I am in office. She is quick to respond, highly communicative, and flexible with my puppy’s changing medical needs. I can tell that Renee cares about what she does, and it’s been a huge relief to find someone who can confidently handle my high energy pup. I’ve used a few dog walkers due to various scheduling needs, and Renee has been our favorite 🐶 I recommend her for all your doggy’s care needs!”

About: I’ve had hands-on experience caring for pets for years, including raising my own dog since he was a puppy. I’m very involved in his daily care, including feeding, walks, routines, giving lots of attention, and helping manage medical needs when needed. Because of this, I understand how important patience, consistency, and trust are when caring for someone’s pet. I’m also very comfortable with cats and enjoy spending time with different personalities, whether they’re playful, shy, energetic, or need extra comfort and care. I’ll always treat pets like family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I recently graduated high school and will be starting college soon, so I have a very open and flexible schedule this summer! I do work part-time, but outside of my work schedule I’m available most days and have plenty of time to give pets attention, playtime, walks, and companionship. Since I don’t have many major summer plans, I’m happy to be flexible and work around your pet’s needs and routine. Since I will be caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to help them feel as comfortable, safe, and stress-free as possible by sticking to their normal routine. I’m very attentive to instructions and will make sure your pet gets the care, attention, exercise, feeding, potty breaks, and affection they need while you’re away. I also have hands-on experience with crate training through my own dog, who is crate trained and comfortably sleeps in his crate when prompted. I understand the importance of patience, routine, and making pets feel secure in their environment. I will always treat your home and pets with respect and care as if they were my own.
“Megan was the best! She was so communicative throughout the two days she watched my dogs and was able to accommodate last minute dinner requests for them! I enjoyed my trip knowing that my dogs were in good hands! HIGHLY recommend!”

“When I was injured and unable to walk my dog, Luna, Matthew was an absolute lifesaver. He showed up every single day; rain or shine; right on time, without fail. His reliability and dedication gave me such peace of mind during a challenging time. Not only was he dependable, but Luna absolutely adores him. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the dogs he walks. Matthew’s consistency, kindness, and professionalism have been an essential part of both my recovery and Luna’s happiness. I can’t recommend him enough to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog walker.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
