“Yvonne and her husband granted me an amazing experience of boarding my dog (Freda). It all began with a last minute trip, which required me to board Freda within 48 hours. I sent Yvonne a request based on her location and availability for the days I required. This turned into a blessing. She replied almost immediately. She offered to host Freda as long as as our initial meeting between Freda and her own dog (Quincy) went well. When I first arrived Yvonne and her husband were so welcoming. We discussed our pets and introduced ourselves - it felt more than just business of boarding my dog. This experience was different. This experience was exceptional. They showed me around the area of their home where Freda would eat and sleep. They also showed me around their beautiful fenced in yard where she could run comfortably. They also stated they only host one pet at a time and never leave the dog unattended. This put a lot of my thoughts at ease. Throughout my trip Yvonne sent me pictures and provided me updates and once again worked well with my return schedule to pick up Freda. “The fact that Courtney is a vet was one of the reasons I reached out to see if she was able to watch Sunny for a weekend while I was out of town due to how anxious she can get. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint. During the meet and greet, she asked about emergency vet info and offered her office as an option for urgent but non-emergency situations since I don’t have a primary emergency vet. She was aware of Sunny’s needs while she was there. Courtney also kept great communication and sent lots of videos and pics during her stay. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, and I’ve raised my Labrador from a tiny puppy to the sweet senior she is today. Caring for her through every stage—training, high energy years, and now her slower senior days has given me hands on experience with all kinds of needs and personalities. I’ve also cared for multiple dogs at once and have handled overnight stays with up to six dogs for several days at a time. Whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, or just keeping everyone calm and happy, I’m comfortable managing a busy, furry household. I am currently a college student with a very flexible schedule. I would love to be able to help people out in my free time, whether that be just letting a dog out or taking them for a walk. About: Animals are Gods among us. I agree with Ricky Gervais, that "a dog loves you more than it loves itself, and that's why I worship dogs." Honestly, this gig is a bit selfish - my sweet baby Pit Mix passed away recently & I miss her terribly. I'm certain that engaging with animals will soothe this depression. I am socially awkward with humans, but I love animals. This will be therapy, a true gift, to me. I also need to exercise more and would like to be able to afford any kind of home, some day. My family has had pets since I was in kindergarten. I volunteered with Faithful Friends in High School, through which I also fostered kittens. My favorite thing about walking a dog is when the folded tops of their ears bounce up and down. I work full time until ~4:30PM, but I am usually free after. I am available for boarding on the weekends. On the days I work from home (typically Monday & Wednesday), I can also provide a walk or check in during my lunch hour (1 to 2PM). I have great experience with watching and training! I do some work with animals like dog sitting for guiding eyes but other than that I don’t have much else taking up my time, other than school I have a fenced yard and two lovely dogs who are very playful! And a family who is very loving towards dogs and supports me with their care! I also love animals just overall no matter what they are!
About: Hi everyone! My name's Shirl and I am hoping to make your life a bit easier by taking away the stress of leaving your pup behind while you're away. I have been pet sitting for over 12 years; I used to have dogs come board with me while owners went away, but I've found that most owners prefer their pets to stay in the comfort of their own home. I have years of experience doing overnight pet sitting, but unfortunately my growing family (3 dogs and a cat of my own) no longer allows for me to stay away from home overnight. I am happy to provide multiple daily visits and/or walks! My goal is to keep your pet as comfortable as possible while you're away, by keeping their daily routine as close to "normal" as possible. I've cared for all types of pets including dogs, cats, bunnies, chicks, quail, lizards, fish, etc.! I am an experienced dog handler/ animal lover at heart. I worked at/managed a doggie day care/boarding facility for 4 years, learning from a very experienced trainer who focuses on positive reinforcement techniques ONLY. During my time there, I had opportunities to complete trainings to understand dog behaviors and body language. I have volunteered at BARCS as a dog walker/foster, working primarily with bully breeds. Why I love dog sitting I have been an animal lover my entire life. From playing with salamanders as a kid, to growing up with cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes; I've also had bunnies, fish, frogs, hermit crabs, hamsters, birds...the list goes on! I couldn't imagine a life without animals in it. My experience administering medication Yes. Working at a dog boarding facility for nearly 2 years I have had to give many forms of medications, and my personal pets also take oral medications. I am not trained to give injections. My full time job allows me to work from home majority of the week. That makes it easy for me to swing by for a visit at different times of the day. The latest drop in I can provide is 7pm. I am happy to provide updates as soon as I arrive, during the stay, and as I leave. For dog walks, I prefer not to introduce any dog that I’m handling to another dog passing by. This ensures everyone’s safety.

Through that experience, I’ve learned how to read canine body language, reinforce good behaviors, and confidently handle dogs with different personalities and energy levels. Being home full-time also allows me to closely monitor each dog’s well-being, maintain their routine, and ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Your dog will be cared for like one of my own in a safe, loving home environment. I have a fully fenced 0.6-acre yard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore under supervision. They’ll also have the companionship of my three friendly, well-socialized dogs if they enjoy being around other dogs. Throughout the day, your pet will receive plenty of exercise, potty breaks, playtime, enrichment, and affection. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special instructions, so they feel comfortable, happy, and at home while you’re away.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and truly can’t imagine a home without them. Growing up, I cared for pets of all kinds, which helped me become comfortable and confident with different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. As an adult, I’ve continued that passion by owning and caring for my own pets, giving me hands-on experience with daily routines, training basics, and recognizing each animal’s unique needs. In addition to my own pets, I’ve regularly cared for the pets of family and friends, whether it’s walking, feeding, administering basic care, or just making sure they feel loved and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own, with patience, attention, and lots of affection. I am a school teacher, so I am available after school (4 pm or later) and on weekends. I’m also available all day during the week on days I have off and during the summer. I would love to care for your pet in the place they are most comfortable - their own home! And I will take them for walks in their neighborhood, with all the sights and smells they are used to!
About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life, big and small! I’ve bathed, feed, played with, and let dogs outside! Cuddles are a must! I attend Western Kentucky University but am home for the summer. I currently work part time at Brusters Ice Cream! My schedule changes weekly however I don’t work everyday meaning there is plenty of time for stopping by throughout the day! I will update clients on schedule changes to fit their needs and make sure all pets are taken care of properly. Most shifts are at night so I can stop by for feedings and bathroom breaks before work and after! Care begins with attention. Following clients instructions as every dogs and cats needs are different. Proper safety, comfort, and routine is important! Whether backyards aren’t fenced in or animals are fed at a specific time clients instructions are always important to follow!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, and I’ve raised my Labrador from a tiny puppy to the sweet senior she is today. Caring for her through every stage—training, high energy years, and now her slower senior days has given me hands on experience with all kinds of needs and personalities. I’ve also cared for multiple dogs at once and have handled overnight stays with up to six dogs for several days at a time. Whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, or just keeping everyone calm and happy, I’m comfortable managing a busy, furry household. I am currently a college student with a very flexible schedule. I would love to be able to help people out in my free time, whether that be just letting a dog out or taking them for a walk. I am completely available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until four. Even outside of these three days I have a lot of flexibility! I care for other people’s animals as if they are my own. I am a huge dog lover and always have enjoyed caring for them and spending time with them. About: I have had animals all of my life. Love Dogs, big and small, Cats finicky and cuddly. I have taken care of special needs animals and have managed medications as well as shots and measuring blood sugar. Currently I have two rescue Greyhounds and a Jack Russell Terrier, basically 2 couch potatoes and a WonderDog who never stops chasing a stick. Last but not least I have Sage, a 15-year-old grey tabby who looks really good for her age and puts the Pups in their place.
