“Bethany was wonderful with Luna and Coco! She took excellent care of them, made sure they got plenty of walks and playtime, and kept us updated throughout our trip. We came home to happy, relaxed pups and really appreciated how organized and communicative she was. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her.”

“I boarded my two dogs, Simba and Ghost, with Sunaina for five nights, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. She took excellent care of them, followed all of my instructions to the letter, and kept me updated throughout their stay. It was clear that Simba and Ghost were comfortable and well looked after, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend Sunaina to anyone looking for a responsible, attentive, and caring dog sitter!”

About: Ive had cats and dogs since a very young age I currently have 4 dogs and three cats. I have many years of experience and love them all! I am currently a student at University of Delaware and I thought maybe this job would work for my class schedule. I have a lot of free time outside of class. I have 3 cats, a boarder collie, australian shepherd, and a west highland terrier. They are all very good animals most of my animals live at home except for one of my cats that lives with me at school, but I’ve taken care of all these animals from almost all my life.

“Rackeem is awesome! It took great care of my Korvo. Rackeem is very knowledgeable about dogs, and my dog really took to Rackeem. I hope Rackeem is always available to us. He was flexible with my schedule and understanding.”

“We cannot say enough about what awesome dog sitters Mark and Kayleigh are! They were so kind, communicative, and caring! They sent regular pictures and updates and really made us feel comfortable about leaving our 11 year old shepherd mix with them. We will be booking with them for as long as we can!”

“Sara took a great care of our little guy. She gave timely updates and I can see that our Leo had so much fun and comfortable at her place. I would definitely keep our little guy with Sara again.”

“We are new to the area and we’ve always had friends or family watch our pups. This was the first time we needed to use Rover. Nancy gave us a great first experience and I’m so glad we have someone we can trust to leave our pups with if we ever need to board again! She asked great questions to get to know our pups before us dropping them off and she kept us up to date everyday with plenty of pics and videos. Nancy was very responsive as well. We will certainly be reaching out to her for future needs. Thanks again Nancy!”

“Bingley and his humans couldn't be happier when he gets to stay with Megan, Jake and Duncan. He's thrilled with the attention and activity he gets and we're relaxed knowing that he has the best care possible. We all hit the jackpot.”

“Andres was great! My dog loved staying with him and his wife and was very content. This was my first time using Rover and he helped me understand the process and answered all my questions. I will definitely book with him again. Thank you Andres!”

“This was our first time using Rover.com. We were very comfortable leaving Emma with Donna. During her stay we received photos and updates showing how content she was. We can't wait to book again and will request Donna every time. Highly recommended!”

“The fact that Courtney is a vet was one of the reasons I reached out to see if she was able to watch Sunny for a weekend while I was out of town due to how anxious she can get. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint. During the meet and greet, she asked about emergency vet info and offered her office as an option for urgent but non-emergency situations since I don’t have a primary emergency vet. She was aware of Sunny’s needs while she was there. Courtney also kept great communication and sent lots of videos and pics during her stay. I would 10/10 recommend her and will definitely be booking services with her again when the time comes!”

“My pup loved Joseph. He met so many new friends and seemed so comfortable. I plan to use his services just for day to day daycare so he can get all the playtime he deserves.”

“Elizabeth was a wonderful sitter for Odie. She was very attentive to his specific needs and was more than capable of handling my 85lb Shepard mix. Odie was relaxed and happy while I was away even with his severe separation anxiety. 100% would recommend her as your next sitter!”

“Brian was an awesome host for our two dogs. He was very communicative and shared pictures throughout the weekend. We would definitely feel comfortable leaving our dogs with Brian again in the future!”

“Susan took such good care of our sneaky hound, it seemed like she was on a vacation of her own. Susan made sure our pup was entertained, happy, and provided her with plenty of belly rubs. (Though our pup would insist on more, I’m sure haha.) We looked forward to her messages throughout the booking, as she shared photos, funny stories, and the sweetest check-ins. We’ll definitely send our girl back to stay with her new BFF next time and for all the trips in our future.”

“We had the absolute pleasure of having Brittany watch our Toby for extended stay while we were on vacation. From the first meet and greet, we were certain we made the right choice as it is apparent Brittany genuinely loves animals and pet sitting. Her beautiful home and farm is such a welcoming place for animals of all kinds and our dog even used the pool for swimming. We really enjoyed the daily pictures and updates from Brittany to put our minds at ease. She even gave our dog a bath at the end. Highly recommend Brittany if you are looking for a loving pet sitter!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
