“5 stars! Rita went above and beyond for our 14 year old Louis. She is very reliable, responsive, gives good updates and is very caring with her animal guests. We will definititely ask for Rita again!!!”
“Laura was a fantastic dog sitter! She was flexible with scheduling pick up/drop off, sent an update with a photo, and our pup seemed to have a great time with her. We will definitely use her services again!”

“I would highly recommend Jen! I have basically never left my dog at home alone. I chose to have Jen watch him since I didn’t want to leave my dog for the first time at home for 8 hours or more. I had a good feeling about her. She was on time, ready, and happy to take my dog. In talking to Jen I could tell that she has experience with dogs and that she loves them! She reassured me when I left him with her and let me know what she had planned. Jen took pictures during their walk and at the park. She sent me pictures throughout the afternoon and evening. My dog was happy and not anxious at all. When I came to pick him up she was already downstairs with my dog and his things in hand. He was very happy. I will definitely book Jen again next time I’m in the D.C. area!”
“Yvonne was absolutely wonderful with our "fur baby" Emma. She sent multiple pictures and videos. These pictures showed, among other things, her playing outside, snuggling, playing, and taking a nap. During Emma's visit I felt like she was being well taken care of and loved. I never had to worry that she wasn't doing well. Emma came back to us happy and healthy. Thanks again for letting Emma have such a wonderful stay!”

“Peal was everything you could ask for in a sitter for your pet. She was communicative, flexible, welcoming and kind. My dog, Freddy, stayed with Pearl while my son had a baseball tournament at Cal Ripken in Aberdeen. Tournaments are challenging to plan for and I didn't know how long we would need Pearl to care for our dog. Pearl and I communicated throughout the weekend as my son's team continued to advance towards the championship Sunday night through rain delays, and reassured me that she could care for Freddy as long as we needed. It was such a relief to know that our dog was in a safe environment, allowing me to focus on baseball. Pearl was a huge contribution to the success of our weekend! I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone in the Aberdeen area as a loving home for your pet.”

“Angelita was such a great sitter for my puppy. She provided a little bed with a pillow and blanket for my baby and knew immediately what my dog's interests were. She pays much attention to the dogs and let them have much play time at her backyard. She adored and took great care of my baby. Will book her again if i'm in the area.”

“We are new to the area and we’ve always had friends or family watch our pups. This was the first time we needed to use Rover. Nancy gave us a great first experience and I’m so glad we have someone we can trust to leave our pups with if we ever need to board again! She asked great questions to get to know our pups before us dropping them off and she kept us up to date everyday with plenty of pics and videos. Nancy was very responsive as well. We will certainly be reaching out to her for future needs. Thanks again Nancy!”

“Diane was great & I'd recommend her for your dog sitting needs. Cared for a senior dog with medication needs. Lots of walks! Kept us informed on how our dog was doing. A joy to talk to and was very friendly.”

“Couldn’t have had a better experience. Such a sweet, gracious lady. Sent pictures and communicated daily. Loved on my babies, not just “dogs sat.” Even allowed me to pick them up LATE as my flight was delayed! I have my new local “Rover-ine!””

“Anita was great with my pup!! She sent pictures and updates daily - her home is clean and she lives in such a dog friendly neighborhood for multiple walks and fun!! Definitely recommend booking with her!!”
“My girl came home happy and she didn't want to leave her vacation! Erica was communicative and sent a picture or video almost every day which I told her gave huge comfort to my toddler. She delivered all of Coco Chanel's meds without incidence (and even gave her bi-weekly subcutaneous shot). Thank you Erica, we will book with you again!”

“We had such a great experience with Catherine! She was super responsive from the start and answered all our questions, which made us feel really comfortable booking with her. Chippy had the best time at her place. He got along so well with her dog and family. Catherine sent us regular updates and photos, and we came home to a happy, tired pup. She even went out of her way to drop off Chippy’s bed when we accidentally left it behind. We’d definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!”

“This is my very first time using Rover to gin weekend did a wonderful job caring for my 2 year old cat Ninja over the weekend. Colleen’s home was clean and she’s seems to have alot of experience dealing with pets. My cat had never been around a dog before, and Colleen took the time to allow them to acquaint them and they just left each other alone, no fighting.”

“Thomas and his sons took great care of Tucker while I was away. He responded quickly every time I reached out and Tucker seemed right at home when I picked him up at the end of his stay!”

“Megan is the best dog sitter. She’s always my number one person to call. She’s like Albert’s second mom lol 🤣 one time Albert missed them so much he was crying the first day he was back. He loves him. Thank you Megan for treating Albert like your own.”

“Meagan took care of my senior, blind dog. I was gone for 11 days. I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care. She sent photos and videos during his stay. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a dog sitter.”

About: I grew up around dogs my whole life, which has informed my experience with them. I enjoy walking dogs and training them to learn new tricks. I know several dog training techniques, including positive reinforcement techniques. I can always make time out of my schedule to walk Fido or give Fluffy extra cuddles. I am available especially on Saturdays. When I'm spending time with your furbabies, it never feels like work. I care for my pets by making sure they have plenty of water and food. I also walk the dog frequently and make sure the cat has a clean litter box. For clients, I care for pets per their instructions.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
