Living for the love of an animal

I have worked at a boarding facility in an animal hospital for almost 3 years. I also have some experience working with vet techs and doctors. I made the decision to leave my job as a boarding technician to focus solely on my veterinary technology online classes. I know the care, love, dedication, patience and preparedness it takes to care for your babies. I have cared for dogs and cats of all ages and sizes and breeds. I’ve also cared for exotics which includes birds, small mammals, reptiles, etc. I also had a dog of my own, the beautiful yorkie you see in my profile picture, which I had for 14 years and she was the love of my life. She was special needs, with a brain disease, dementia which caused behavioral issues, and in the last year of her life she suffered from a tumor and was constantly bleeding so I have a lot of experience with caring after a high maintenance pet, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I can confidently say animal caretaking is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done in my life.

Claudia did a great job. Was flexible when I had to change dates, and did a great job with my pup. Would definitely rebook and highly recommend!

Claudia took care of our two cats for a week and I recommend her highly! She fed & played with them and handled all of their medications with ease. I trust her with our girls and would do so again.

Claudia was on time and so nice at our initial meet and greet 2 weeks before needing her to pet sit our 21 year old cat and 6 1/2 year old dog. She was professional and incredibly loving with our fur babies, and had no problem administering medication to our cat. She was on time every time for every drop-in visit (9 total) and she sent many pictures and details of each visit. Highly recommend Claudia!

She was great! My dog had friends to play with which worked out well. Claudia kept me in the loop throughout with photos and videos. She was able to adhere to and administer pills to my senior dog. I would recommend her!

Claudia took excellent care of my ladies. She made sure she was on time for all drop ins, spent quality time playing with them and giving them lots of attention. My cats were as happy and healthy as I left them!

Schedule

I left my full time job so I could focus on my online classes so my schedule is super flexible. I have no problem with getting up super early in the morning or being up super late at night. Working at an animal hospital full time for years hours can be very long and shifts start super early so I’m very disciplined when it comes to being on time.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a big home and live near lots of parks and walkways where we can walk. I have spare pet beds, treats and toys in my home as well. The door to outside remains closed at all times. I will only take a dog outside if they are on leash. I will keep an eye on baby at all times.

A typical day

I feel like each pet is different and depending on that is how I would go about our day. If I have a high energy pet I love to take them to the park and run around for an hour or so. I always have toys on hand and some type of enrichment with their food if motivated. Practice tricks or maybe try to teach them a new one. If I’m looking after a senior baby or an anxious baby I have plenty of comfy beds and blankets. I like to take them on leashed walks because I find it’s the best way to bond and connect with them.

Please let me know of any medical conditions your pet may have. This includes allergies, neurological issues, infections, open wounds, medications, aggressions, etc. I would also like to know their day to day schedule to try and keep it the same for them while under my care.
