I have a fenced in yard with direct access to it from the kitchen. Pets staying with me will have a few options of where they can stay in the house and I will have a transparent conversation with all owners about arrangements prior to any booking. I understand completely that everyone has raised their dogs in their own ways with their own preferences and it's critical that we are aligned on how your dog will be cared for during his/her stay. If your dog is a crate trained dog, I'm okay with this! If your dog is not crate trained and has the occasional accident, I can work with this and we can agree upon a set up that protects my home and still makes you and your pup comfortable. Reach out so we can figure out a plan that works for both of us! In your home, you can expect the utmost care and respect for your home, your privacy and your fur-baby. I have been a home owner for a decade now and I deeply understand how sacred your home is and how much care homes take. Again, I believe clear and honest conversations are the basis for successful partnerships and will rely on our shared transparency to drive how your pet is cared for in your home.

Information Susan C. would like to know about your pet
It's helpful for me to know the commands you use with your pup, how he/she is kept safe when you leave the home, where he or she sleeps at night, and anything he/she reacts to, such as other dogs, children, cats, etc.
A typical day
I am grateful for a neighborhood with a park and a walking path and sidewalks throughout, making walks easy and safe for the pups that visit me. I also enjoy being in my fenced-in backyard and play with dogs there too. The dogs who have stayed with me have thoroughly enjoyed the backyard, exploring it with all the other dog smells, watching and chasing the birds and lounging on the deck.

Pet care experience
I am a single woman with significant flexibility, reliable transportation, no children or pets and plenty of space in my home that also has a fenced-in yard. I had a boxer for 13 years and as she crossed the rainbow bridge in 2022, I have a ton of love in my heart reserved specifically for pups that I'm ready to share again. I have watched friends' dogs often and I enjoy all types of dogs, big and strong athletic dogs, little cuddlers, lazy ones, etc. I am available to keep your fur-baby overnight, stay at your home or drop in for walks, bathroom breaks, etc.
Reviews

Our dog loves staying with Susan so much that she starts getting excited as soon as we take the interstate exit toward her house. Our girl can be a handful; she’s a rescue and reactive to other dogs, stubborn, incredibly smart, and needs a lot of stimulation and attention or she’ll absolutely find her own trouble. But somehow, Susan handles her with total ease and so much genuine care. Susan’s home has become our dog’s vacation spot. She has her favorite cozy places to nap, a huge fully fenced yard to explore, and so much time outside playing, sniffing around, exploring the garden, and bird-watching. Most impressively, Susan somehow taught our dog to play ball after over a year of us trying unsuccessfully to get her interested at home. She truly has a magic touch with animals that enriches their lives and ours. Susan is also wonderfully communicative and kind. Drop-offs and pickups feel less like a transaction and more like visiting a friend who genuinely loves your dog. Every time our dog comes home healthy, happy, and completely exhausted in the best way, like a kid returning from summer camp. We honestly can’t imagine leaving her anywhere else.

Wonderful job, highly reccomend ! Our dog loved her.
Susan C. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.

Susan is awesome!!! I had zero concerns or worries about her keeping my pup! She kept me in the loop the entire stay with pictures and updates. Her house is perfect for dogs - a great backyard and she has everything baby proofed to avoid any issues :) not to mention, she is great to talk to and really easy to connect with. I would fully trust her again with any of my pets and will be rebooking if I need a sitter again. Thank you Susan!!!
