Pet care experience

Where Your Dog feels at Home

I’ve spent years caring for and training dogs, including raising and training four Australian Cattle Dogs—a breed known for its intelligence and high energy. Through that experience, I’ve learned how to read canine body language, reinforce good behaviors, and confidently handle dogs with different personalities and energy levels. I’ve also walked dogs for several of my mom’s clients throughout the Hockessin and Wilmington area. My focus is on providing safe, reliable, and personalized care while treating every dog as if they were my own.

Nancy is an amazing dog sitter! Lucky absolutely loves spending time with her and her dog, Bella, and always comes home happy and well cared for. Nancy is kind, reliable, and attentive, and I feel completely comfortable leaving Lucky in her care. I highly recommend her for dog daycare and will definitely book with her again!

Nancy was fabulous with our dog! She was dependable and respectful. Our dog enjoyed her time with Nancy so much that she was upset when she left. I would gladly book her services again!

Nancy was absolutely wonderful from the very beginning. She kept us updated throughout Elvis’s stay with frequent photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared for him, and Elvis looked happy, relaxed, and well loved the entire time. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Nancy to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to watch their pet. Thank you for taking such great care of Elvis!

We are new to the area and we’ve always had friends or family watch our pups. This was the first time we needed to use Rover. Nancy gave us a great first experience and I’m so glad we have someone we can trust to leave our pups with if we ever need to board again! She asked great questions to get to know our pups before us dropping them off and she kept us up to date everyday with plenty of pics and videos. Nancy was very responsive as well. We will certainly be reaching out to her for future needs. Thanks again Nancy!

Schedule

I’m currently home full-time, allowing me to provide attentive, personalized care throughout the day. Dogs in my care receive plenty of potty breaks, exercise, playtime, enrichment, affection, and supervision rather than being left alone for long periods. Your dog will be welcomed into a safe, loving home and treated like one of my own. I have a fully fenced 0.5-acre yard with plenty of room to run, play, and explore under supervision, as well as three friendly, well-socialized dogs for those who enjoy canine companionship. I also do my best to maintain each dog’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special instructions you provide. My goal is simple: for you to have peace of mind while you’re away and for your dog to feel safe, happy, and loved while they’re with me.

Safety, trust & environment

I’m a Registered Nurse with a background in cardiac care and high-stress open-heart surgery, where being dependable, attentive, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented was essential every single day. After years of caring for my patients’ hearts, I’ve now been able to channel that same compassion into one of my greatest passions—dogs. I like to think I’ve gone from caring for my patients’ hearts to caring for my clients’ whole hearts—their dogs. ❤️🐾 My nursing background has shaped the way I care for animals. I take safety seriously, pay close attention to changes in behavior or well-being, follow instructions carefully, and understand the importance of medications and routines. Most importantly, I want owners to know they are leaving their dog with someone who is responsible, reliable, professional, and genuinely invested in their care.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day in my care is a balance of exercise, play, enrichment, and relaxation, while keeping your dog’s normal routine in mind. Every dog gets a daily walk and plenty of playtime, whether that’s fetch, tug-of-war, exploring my fully fenced yard, enrichment toys, practicing commands for treats, or supervised play with other dogs. Between activities, there’s plenty of time for naps, cuddles, potty breaks, and relaxing around the house so your dog truly feels at home. I follow each dog’s feeding, medication, and care instructions closely, with activities tailored to their age and energy level. My goal is for your dog to go home happy, loved, exercised, and tired from a fun-filled day! 🐾❤️

Before booking, I like to ask a few questions to ensure a safe and comfortable stay for everyone. Does your dog have any food/toy aggression or resource guarding around people or other dogs? Any allergies, medications, medical needs, or behavioral triggers? Are they an escape artist who jumps fences, digs, or bolts through doors? Lastly, what are their sleeping arrangements—crate-trained at night or accustomed to free roaming? 🐾
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
