“Kassandra arrived on time and was very sweet. She asked questions regarding our dogs care which I liked. Received several texts of our girl going for a walk, ride in her stroller, etc. which was very much appreciated. She followed all instructions & our oldie was very content when we got back. Would recommend Kassandra & would use her again!”

“Kelly is absolutely amazing! She took such wonderful care of my very needy cat while I was away. From the beginning, she demonstrated a truly professional and thoughtful approach—following clear procedures and making sure every detail was handled with care. What I appreciated most was how consistently she sent me updates and photos, which really gave me peace of mind and made me feel connected even from afar. Knowing my cat was in such good hands let me relax completely during my time away. I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter. Highly recommended!”

“Another wonderful sitting with our cat Hope and Janicia! Hope is a very needy cat, that craves company and gets stressed without human interaction. I appreciate that Janicia was able to stay with her for two weeks during the December holidays. We came home to stressed free cat!”

“As always, Makenna was just wonderful with Harry. His anxiety at having us gone is practically non-existent when she stays with him. So grateful to have her to care for Harry when we can’t be there.”

“Tori is an amazing pet sitter! She cared for my two large, energetic dogs for 4 days in my home. She kept me informed with photos and notes so I could relax, knowing my dogs were happy and safe. Tori reached out to clarify instructions to ensure the dogs' safety. The dogs absolutely love her! She is The Best!!”

“So thankful we found J! She took amazing care of our dog. Mail was brought in, house was clean, and even washed the sheets and made the guest bed! Daily updates and photos were a bonus. Our dog looked so happy on his adventures! Will definitely use again.”

“Super friendly person and quick with her responses. I definitely feel like my cat is safe with her & I’m comfortable with her in my home while I’m gone. I’ll definitely be booking again :) !!!”
“Excellent sitter. Daniella and her daughter took very good care of Abby. Abby is an older dog with arthritis in her hip. My house was spotless when I returned home and Abby was so happy to see me. I would recommend Daniella in a heartbeat. She is kind, gentle and follows all instructions perfectly.”

“I absolutely love Linda. She took such good care of my 2 kitties & dog. They even seem to be a little more well behaved. I had one cat who would sometimes bully my dog (lol), but he isn't doing that anymore. Linda was also very helpful & took great care of my home. I'm looking forward to having her help out again.”

“So happy to find Samantha available last minute after our sitter bailed. She was very flexible and able to come meet our crew before hand. She was able to keep up her busy schedule while still making our pups her priority. Everyone was happy & healthy upon return & we appreciate her help with some extra “accidents” from our older pups. Will book again!”

“Jasmine was everything you want in a puppy sitter. She is kind, compassionate & loves your dog as her own! Chloe took to her immediately and vise versa. She listened attentively as we discussed Chloe & her Adisons. We felt very comfortable leaving Chloe in her care for a few hours while we enjoyed an afternoon out. I wouldn't hesitate to use Jasmine again or recommend her (& Rover!)”

“We had a wonderful experience with Karin! She was incredibly attentive, caring, and communicative throughout the entire stay. She kept us updated with photos and let us know right away if anything seemed unusual with our dogs, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She was very transparent, flexible, and genuinely treated our dogs as if they were her own. It was clear that she truly cared about their comfort, happiness, and well being. Our dogs were well cared for, and we could tell they received plenty of attention and love. We will be using her in the future and trust her with our dogs again. highly recommend Karin to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and responsible pet sitter!”

“Bryanna is fantastic! We’ve never felt so relieved in knowing that we have a person we can fully trust and rely on with our pups. We have a senior dog and a puppy. That combo can be a bit overwhelming, but Bryanna was able to handle them effortlessly. We know we will be reaching out to her again in the future!”

“Daphne was absolutely wonderful with my dogs. She was attentive, communicative, and kept me in the loop the entire time, which gave me so much peace of mind. She also handled last-minute emergencies with so much care and calmness. I’m so grateful for her and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

“Sherry is always responsible, on time and caring for our five dogs. She has watched them several times for us and we already have her booked for a future vacation. Thank you Sherry, we appreciate you more than you know.”
About: My husband and I have fostered and adopted very many dogs throughout our lifetime, mostly senior dogs. We are very experienced in giving medications and special care if needed. We provide a good routine with frequent potty breaks, and will make sure to stick to your pup's feeding schedules that they have at home. Lastly, I will send plenty of photos throughout your dog's stay! Now that we are retired and have 2 dogs of our own, we've decided to open our home and hearts to care for other dogs. We have two Yorkshire Terriers named Tino and Monkey who are very friendly and welcoming. As with all dogs we have brought into our home, we will slowly and safely introduce them to your furry friend. We provide a very relaxing environment, but also have a large fenced-in yard where they will have plenty of time and room to play! Our main goal is to make your baby feel loved and completely at home!

Lyan watched our little dachshunds for us and did a wonderful job caring for them. She sends updates and photos daily that keeps us up to date on how they are doing and providing us with reassurance. Took great care of our home and managed our dogs medications while we were away. Will book with her again!

Kenny was amazing. He took great care of our two high-energy dogs and our home while we were away for nearly a week. Our dogs loved him, and we felt completely at ease the whole time. He sent pics and videos to keep us updated- the dogs clearly had a lot of fun. We’ll definitely book him again and will be recommending him to friends and family.

Wonderful experience. We have a classic shepherd who only really loves her parents (we tried so much socializing, but genes are genes). Christina handled the timid 70 lbs baby with such grace that within a few hours, they were best friends! You can tell she loves what she does and have experience. Even our more aloof cat was cuddling with her by the middle of her stay. If you have pets that dont get watched often, she's definitely your girl!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bayonet Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bayonet Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bayonet Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
