“Look no further, you found the best! Justin has always gone above and beyond to provide my pets with everything they need while I'm away for work. I have 2 dogs, 1 mini pig and a flock of chickens. So you can see why a sitter is necessary. I expected basic care.. you know, you get what you pay for. But he went above and beyond and now, my mini pig and 6 month old puppy showed of their new skills (sit, lay down, and best of all.. leave it). He truly cares, he's respectful and compassionate. My animals look forward to seeing him. Justin has been my sitter for awhile, I mentioned he should expand his clientele, but now, I'm just hoping this review doesn't cost me the best critter sitter I've ever found!”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was in 5th grade, I love caring for all types of animals! I have watched big dogs, little dogs, bad dogs, good dogs, I have watched a plethora of animals, ferrets and bunnies, cats, you name it! my passion is animals, neighbors, friends, and family rely on me all the time for a reliable animal sitter. I am currently unemployed. As I have just started college. I am home virtually all the time and would love nothing more than to spend my days with animals while studying. I do online college, so I never need to go into school I have a very friendly playful cat, he loves all animals but I know not all animals love cats, I am very capable of keeping him away from your animals, he has his own room and a cage he loves. I have a fenced in nicely sized yard perfect for fur babies. My home is well equipped with plenty of toys for the fur baby/babies you have! I love to play with and keep the pups active, (cats included)!

“My dog, Eddie is my baby, l've never left him with anyone but family. He is a senior boxer who requires attentive care. She assured me she would love him and take care of him as if he were her own. Eddie really enjoyed staying at Becky’s home and got along great with her two dogs. She was thoughtful to send pictures and videos of my baby being spoiled and having a great time with new friends. I highly recommend her to everyone!”

About: Lets face it, everyone on Rover loves animals (or else we wouldn't be here...right?) We all know how much our animals mean to us. They are our family; our soulmates and best friends for life. What happens when emergencies arise, or we want to use that PTO at work. Or, what happens if you just need help? I am here to help you and your fur babies! Although you may be nervous reaching out to others regarding your animals, rest assured, I understand. For my entire life, I had family and friends who would help me watch my dogs. I didn't have to rely on a stranger for anything. If I was going on vacation, I would call my mom for help. If I needed someone to do drop in visits if I stayed late at work, I would call my friend who lived down the road. Not until recently have I begun to reach out to others for help with my fur babies. I moved 26 hours away from my hometown in Minnesota to Spring Hill Florida, where I knew absolutely no one and had no support. If it wasn't for Rover, I wouldn't have had any help with pet sitting. After meeting an incredible Rover sitter, I have decided to extend my assistance to anyone in need. I had such an incredible experience with my Rover sitter, and I hope I can give the same to others and their pets. My love for animals doesn't stop with just myself and my animals, it goes beyond to others and their animals. There has NEVER been a time where I didn't go above and beyond for an animal in need. At the end of 2022, I saw a little blue heeler on the euthanasia list in Texas. After 36 hours straight of pleading and making calls to rescues and fosters, I was able to arrange a short term foster for him; and then 2 weekends later I drove 16 hours one way to bring him home. He now has his own spot in our bed every night where he no longer has to worry about being abandoned. That following spring, I coordinated a foster/rescue of another blue heeler. I arranged transportation from Texas to Mississippi, and then I helped get him from Mississippi to Florida, where he eventually got adopted to a family in south Florida. I am very involved with rescue work, here in Florida and in Texas and Minnesota. It has been a lifelong passion of mine to help those in need (and not just animals as well.) In addition to my passion and sacrifice for animals, I have many years of experience with many different species of animals (farm animals, small and large breed animals, many different breeds of dogs and feline friends) I have professional training and animal handling experience. During my time in college, I worked at the local Petsmart in Bozeman MT and gained valuable training through their training internship. I have had an internship with my hometown large animal veterinarian and received training on medication and handling. I am very fortunate to have work from home employment which in turn, allows me to have a very flexible schedule! I can take longer breaks, start and finish when it is best for me, and can work on weekends if needed. Earning trust is very important to me. Letting a dog become familiar with you is where I first start. Whether it be letting them come to you on their own terms, or playing with them, whatever they need to see that I'm not a threat, I provide. Keeping control of animals outside of their home is essential for safety and even trust. If the yard is not fenced in, a leash is always something I use. When inside, I make sure the pet feels at home and is comfortable. Trust and environment go hand in hand. If the dog is in a stressful and fearful environment, trust won't grow. The right environment is essential for the trust to sprout; and it is my duty to provide a safe environment right from the start with any animal.

She took our booking with little to no notice and even came a bit early to get acquainted to our pups before we left. We were updated throughout our vacation with pictures and stories of our three goofball dogs and we won’t hesitate at all to request Kate to dog sit in our home again.
