“Bethany took care of my two dogs for 6 days and they had a fun, relaxing stay. They were given lots of love, cuddles, and plays. Thank you so much for caring for them. I will def. Book again. Junior misses the cozy couch and now he is asking for one haha.. thanks for everything :)”

“I was worried to leave Bentley with strangers, but my worries quickly faded. Going forward Rover will be my first choice for pet sitting and I pray that Launa and Ethan will still be pet sitting. Bentley felt right at home. I couldn’t have asked for a better place for him to be. Thank you both so much.”

“Somer, Garrett and the kids were great! They sent pic though out her stay showing that she looked comfortable with them,(she gets very nervous when away from me) she was even snuggling on the couch with Garrett. They took her on walks and they left the patio door open to their fenced in yard and mavis could go out and lay in the sun anytime she wanted, which she loves to do! I would definitely have her stay with them again!!”

“Thank you Laura! I was stressed about leaving Abby with anyone but you and your family made it easy for me. I loved receiving text messages and pictures letting me know Abby was doing great and having fun. Thank you to your son for helping and loving Abby. You guys are awesome!!! Thank you!”

About: I’ve cared for a wide variety of pets throughout my life, including dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and birds. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and over the years, I’ve discovered that dogs hold a particularly special place in my heart. I’ve cared for dogs of many sizes and personalities, including my own dogs and those belonging to family members and friends. I understand that every dog is unique, so I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and individual needs. I’ve also trained my dogs to follow commands and perform tricks, which has strengthened my patience, consistency, and communication skills. In addition, I groom my own dog and am comfortable assisting with regular brushing, bathing, and other basic grooming needs. Whether it’s a playful puppy with energy to burn, a senior dog who prefers a gentler pace, or a shy dog who needs extra patience and reassurance, I believe every dog deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. My goal isn’t simply to watch your pet—it’s to help them feel at home, provide plenty of affection, and offer the same loving care I’d want for my own dog. When you’re away, you can feel confident knowing your furry family member is in caring, experienced hands. My schedule is flexible, and I spend much of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. As I build my home-based business, I have the opportunity to structure my schedule around the needs of the pets in my care. I enjoy having animals around and love incorporating walks, playtime, outdoor breaks, and plenty of cuddles into my day. I can also work with each pet's individual routine, including feeding schedules, medication instructions when applicable, and their preferred balance of activity and relaxation. My goal is to make sure your dog isn't simply staying somewhere while you're away, but is receiving consistent attention and feeling like part of the family. My home is dog-friendly, with a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play and room to relax indoors. I have a mellow dog of my own, and I understand that not every dog will immediately feel comfortable around a new dog or in a new environment. I take a gradual, individualized approach to helping each guest settle in. Your dog will have time to get comfortable with my husband and me, explore the house, and decompress before any introductions to my dog. I'll follow their cues and comfort level, allowing them to adjust at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed. If the dogs don't get along or simply need their own space, my home can be sectioned off so they can remain safely separated while still receiving plenty of individual attention, affection, and playtime. Dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor fun in the fenced yard or relax and play indoors. I also have two large dog beds available, or you're welcome to bring your dog's own bed and familiar items to help them feel at home. My priority is to create a safe, calm, and loving environment where every dog feels comfortable, gets the attention they deserve, and is cared for as an individual.
“Magdaliz took wonderful care of our Apollo while we were gone! She provided me with frequent and detailed updates on how he was doing. She also made sure he was comfortable and at ease during his stay.”

“Chris C kept my kitten for four days and three nights. This was her first time being away from me for more than eight hours. He was absolutely awesome. He sent me videos pictures text messages and I felt comfortable the entire time I was away from her. she’s almost 6 months and still a baby. He treated her like she was his own and so did his awesome cat Stasche I would definitely recommend him and I will also rebook with him whenever Skye needs a sitter really nice guy and his home was perfect for my baby to enjoy herself”

“Such a pleasure to deal with her from the very beginning, and I had peace of mind from there on. She continued to contact me throughout the eight days and give me updates and pictures and videos. I would certainly use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for wonderful care for their beloved pet.”

“Lenise was a godsend for not only my dog Moose but also for me. She put my mind at ease with the videos and pictures of her caring for moose. She also let moose sleep on her bed! Which is something she didn’t have to do. Lenise also checked in with me every morning with a progress report. My overall experience with Lenise was above and beyond my expectations.”

“I was nervous about leaving my 11‑year‑old dog with a sitter for the first time, especially after a stressful boarding experience in the past. Kelie and family made him feel right at home from day one. They sent regular photos and videos showing him happy, relaxed, and having fun, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. They were reliable, communicative, and clearly treated him like part of their family (he got his own Christmas stocking- loved the video of him finding treats in his stocking ❤️) I came back to a calm, content pup who had clearly been loved and cared for. I highly recommend Kellie to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate sitter.”

“They were great!! I was so nervous about leaving my puppy because I have never left her with anyone before. They took very great care of her and sent plenty of pictures. I would highly recommend.”

About: I've cared for dogs and cats for families for several years, including overnight stays and in-home care. I've also grown up around both dogs and cats, so I'm comfortable with different personalities, routines, and energy levels. I'm comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, medications, and following detailed care instructions. I know being away from your pet can be stressful, so I do my best to keep their routine as normal as possible and make sure they get plenty of attention and affection. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and being well cared for while you're away. 🗓️ AVAILABILITY: Mon–Thurs after 5 PM • Fri–Sun open availability I’m available for evening care Monday–Thursday and have flexible/all-day availability Friday–Sunday! 🐾 I’m currently working full time at a podiatry office as a medical assistant so my weekends and evenings are usually free and I have plenty of time to care for other pets. I tailor my care to each pet’s routine and personality. In a client’s home, I keep their normal schedule as closely as possible, including meals, walks, playtime, medications, and plenty of attention. For overnight stays, I make sure pets have company and feel comfortable in their own home while their family is away. I’m also respectful of the home and keep everything clean and tidy. Most importantly, I want each pet to feel safe, loved, and well cared for.
“Stephanie’s the best! My dog Oki is old and he hasn’t been with anyone else but me. He had a little bit of separation anxiety and Stephanie made him feel loved and cared for. She was patient with him and Oki finally felt safe in someone else’s care. We definitely would go back to her in a heartbeat.”

“Clary was AMAZING! We were new clients and she fit us in last minute with no problem. She was extremely welcoming and sent pictures and updates several times (which I loved). We will for sure use her services again!”

“Carlos and his family are simply amazing. They have to be some of the most welcoming people to both dogs and humans I have ever met! If you read all of the reviews there should be no doubt that your dog will be well cared for. My dog stayed with Carlos for 11 days, when I was away on business, and his daily communication with texts and photos completely eliminated any stress I had about leaving my best friend! It went so well I am not sure if my dog even missed me :) Carlos is A+++++ I will never look for another Rover again. Carlos is my man!”

“Anne was great with our newly acquired 5-yr old shelter dog, Toby. We are still working on potty training and good behavior with him so he wasn't an easy guest. We're implementing some helpful suggestions Anne offered and anticipate that Toby will be a better guest the next time around!”

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life. Now, I have 2 dogs of my own that I love very much. I watch my family’s dogs, my friend’s dogs, and am looking forward to meeting plenty of other dogs in the nearby areas! I love all dogs and have no preference of age, breed, or size. My schedule is very pet‑friendly because I work from home full‑time Monday through Thursday, which allows me to give consistent attention, structure, and care throughout the day. I’m able to adjust walks, playtime, feeding, and downtime around each dog’s routine. I’m also off every Friday through Sunday, giving me even more flexibility to accommodate different schedules, stay available for bookings, and ensure pets feel supported and comfortable while in my care. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. As a lifelong dog lover and a behavior analyst, I understand how to create a calm, structured, and enriching environment for pets. I use positive reinforcement, clear expectations, and gentle guidance to help dogs feel secure in my home or their own. I pay close attention to their cues, maintain safe spaces, and make sure each pet has everything they need to relax, explore, and enjoy their stay.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Aripeka home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Aripeka.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Aripeka sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
