“My first time leaving my fur babies with a sitter, and I couldn’t have picked anyone better. I got updates and pictures of my babies. It made leaving them easier for me, knowing they had the best sitter!”

“I would highly recommend Tina and could tell that she had a genuine love for dogs. My Sydney came home happy and sleepy which is an accomplishment even for me. Tina truly understood the exercise needs of an Aussie.”

“Pheonix is such a wonderful sitter and we are so lucky to have found her. She checks in with us daily to let us know how Buddy is doing and cares for him so well. We will continue to rebook her for future stays!! Thank you!!”

About: I’ve cared for a wide variety of pets throughout my life, including dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and birds. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and over the years, I’ve discovered that dogs hold a particularly special place in my heart. I’ve cared for dogs of many sizes and personalities, including my own dogs and those belonging to family members and friends. I understand that every dog is unique, so I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and individual needs. I’ve also trained my dogs to follow commands and perform tricks, which has strengthened my patience, consistency, and communication skills. In addition, I groom my own dog and am comfortable assisting with regular brushing, bathing, and other basic grooming needs. Whether it’s a playful puppy with energy to burn, a senior dog who prefers a gentler pace, or a shy dog who needs extra patience and reassurance, I believe every dog deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. My goal isn’t simply to watch your pet—it’s to help them feel at home, provide plenty of affection, and offer the same loving care I’d want for my own dog. When you’re away, you can feel confident knowing your furry family member is in caring, experienced hands. My schedule is flexible, and I spend much of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. As I build my home-based business, I have the opportunity to structure my schedule around the needs of the pets in my care. I enjoy having animals around and love incorporating walks, playtime, outdoor breaks, and plenty of cuddles into my day. I can also work with each pet's individual routine, including feeding schedules, medication instructions when applicable, and their preferred balance of activity and relaxation. My goal is to make sure your dog isn't simply staying somewhere while you're away, but is receiving consistent attention and feeling like part of the family. My home is dog-friendly, with a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play and room to relax indoors. I have a mellow dog of my own, and I understand that not every dog will immediately feel comfortable around a new dog or in a new environment. I take a gradual, individualized approach to helping each guest settle in. Your dog will have time to get comfortable with my husband and me, explore the house, and decompress before any introductions to my dog. I'll follow their cues and comfort level, allowing them to adjust at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed. If the dogs don't get along or simply need their own space, my home can be sectioned off so they can remain safely separated while still receiving plenty of individual attention, affection, and playtime. Dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor fun in the fenced yard or relax and play indoors. I also have two large dog beds available, or you're welcome to bring your dog's own bed and familiar items to help them feel at home. My priority is to create a safe, calm, and loving environment where every dog feels comfortable, gets the attention they deserve, and is cared for as an individual.
“Sommer and Garrett were absolutely great! They are a beautiful family that love and understand dogs. Their kids help out so much our pups had plenty of attention, cuddles and play time. Their back yard is spacious for active dogs and they are never alone. Luna is very anxious and they knew how to deal with her with lots of care. I was a bit worried because Luna and Moka sleep with me, but there was no issues… they cuddled with them and slept all night. I highly recommend them! 100% I will be back on my next vacation:) I am so grateful to have found them. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!”

“Our dogs loved their time with Kim and she definitely treated them as her own. She communicated frequently and always kept me up to date on how they were doing. My grumpy little man who hates walks even seemed to enjoy walking with her. Her home was cleaner than a lot of homes I've done meet-and-greets at. And she was flexible when I had to adjust my pick up time. Thank you so much Kim!”

“Erica has watched my elderly doggo a few times now and we absolutely love her! She treats our little old lady so amazing. Our pup LOVES kids and she always comes home so happy after her visits. We are so so SO grateful for finding Erica!”

I keep their space clean, provide fresh food and water, and make sure doors, gates, and other areas are safely secured. I’m patient and attentive with every animal and always treat them with the same care and respect I would give my own pets.
“I highly recommend Danielle. She asked the right questions about caring for my large breed with special needs and listened patiently to my concerns. She followed my instructions and handled the doggie issues I forget to tell her about with grace. Her whole family told me how much they loved my dog and Danielle sent pictures to reassure me while I was out of the country. Danielle was highly flexible with regards to my shifting travel schedule due to airport/airline issues and picked up/dropped off my dog as soon as I got home. Danielle made me and my dog feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I can not recommend her enough.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Bayport home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Bayport.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Bayport sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
