“When I first met Samantha I knew I had made a great choice. She was welcoming and friendly but also very confident, knowledgeable and experienced. And her children seemed super excited about having Khaleesi. I got daily pics and/or updates of their walks, playtime at the dog park and playtime or lazytime at home with the kids and dogs. Let me just say that I think Khaleesi needs a vacation from her vacation!! I would not hesitate to have them watch khaleesi again...infact it is the works as I write this!! I can't thank this family enough for the love and care that they gave khaleesi.❤?”

“I loved receiving pictures of my babies while I was gone. And they instantly felt comfortable with Launa and Ethan and their home. They made themselves right at home ❤️”

“Oh, my goodness! I have a very recently rescued dog, and I needed to go out of town overnight. Jocelyn was SO wonderful with my dog! She made sure he was comfortable in her home and she sent lots of pictures. She spent time with Humphrey, gave him treats and cuddles. He had a very nice visit! We will definitely come back next time. Thank you, Jocelyn!”

“Lisa and Scott are truly awesome we left our Winnie with them and honestly never worried a second. We received pictures and videos which we could see Winnie was at home always happy would highly recommend Lisa and Scott 🙂”

“We have been using Laura for years to watch our pup. She is the best and is always very nice to us and our pup! She updates us frequently with pictures and we will definitely continue to always book with Laura in the future.”

“Such a pleasure to deal with her from the very beginning, and I had peace of mind from there on. She continued to contact me throughout the eight days and give me updates and pictures and videos. I would certainly use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for wonderful care for their beloved pet.”

“Sara and Tyree were the greatest sitters you could ask for. They took in Domino for Christmas, and made him an instant part of the family, even giving him a present to open on Christmas Day 🥹. He loved his stay, and was a very happy pup when I picked him up. Thanks so much for treating Dom like your own, and thanks to the whole family for giving him so much love! Happy new years!”

About: I have always had a deep love for dogs and have had dogs of my own for many years. Throughout the years, family members, friends, and neighbors have also trusted me to care for their pets. I have experience feeding, walking, playing with, and providing dogs with plenty of love, attention, and companionship. I am responsible, patient, caring, and attentive to each dog’s individual needs. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I will treat every dog in my care with the same love and attention I give my own. Pet care fits very well into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to spend plenty of time caring for, playing with, walking, and giving attention to the dogs in my care. I am available during the week and on weekends, and I can easily adjust my routine to accommodate each dog’s individual schedule and needs. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for every dog in my care. Although my yard is not fenced, dogs will always be supervised and kept on a leash when outside. Safety is very important to me, and I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, routines, feeding schedules, and any special needs their dog may have. I also have two friendly and social dogs of my own. I will treat your pet with patience, attention, and love, just as I do my own.
“Loving and caring family that took care of our dog. They sent lots of photos and could tell took such good care of him. Definitely would bring him back here whenever they have availability”

“Repeat client and each time has been great! My dog was so excited to see her and her pack again, she has an awesome property and provides peace of mind with daily updates and pictures. Highly recommend Laura!”

“This was our first stay and I am definitely booking for our upcoming stays as well! I so appreciated the pictures and updates of how Cayman was doing. A tell-tale sign for me is my dogs personality when I pick her back up. I could tell she was very comfortable with them and felt safe and loved being there while I was away. ❤️”

“Our dogs loved their time with Kim and she definitely treated them as her own. She communicated frequently and always kept me up to date on how they were doing. My grumpy little man who hates walks even seemed to enjoy walking with her. Her home was cleaner than a lot of homes I've done meet-and-greets at. And she was flexible when I had to adjust my pick up time. Thank you so much Kim!”

“Absolutely amazing and accommodating! My furbaby is a little intimidated by men however they made sure to make him comfortable and allowed in to adjust in his own way. His safety was always secured. He became so comfortable that he didn’t even notice my husband when we came to pick him up. I can’t thank Patricia enough for keeping my baby.”

About: I grew up with dogs all my life. I appreciate what they do for me. I have owned dogs of a variety of sizes Big (Labradors - Sassie and Flounder), Cocker Spaniel (Cleo), Basset Hound (Ginger), Terrier (Kush), and Pomeranian (Foxy). I learned by caring for these dogs that the most important thing is to identify each dog's individual needs by paying attention to how they are feeling and how they interact with me and the other dogs. I personalize my care for each dog. I am experienced with: - puppies as well as elder dogs and all ages in between. - administering medications as needed. - personalized feeding schedules. - personalized walking schedules and outdoors time. - crate trained or not. I am currently a stay at home wife who has plenty of time to take care of dogs up to 40 lbs. My home is pet friendly, with doorway gates to make sure that each dog has a safe place to eat and enjoy their stay at my home. My schedule is flexible and can be changed and updated on an as needed basis, I have a back yard and a safe sidewalk that is easily accessible outside my front door. My back yard has grass and a screened in porch for those days when it is comfortable for dogs to be outside.
“Definitely recommend Erica's doggy boarding. Very caring and let me know morning, afternoon and evening about how my Lucy was doing. My Lucy loved it there so much that she didn't want to leave. Lol”

“This was like a home away from home experience for our girl, Meadow. She got all the creature comforts of home and lots of activity to keep her busy! We're happy to know that if we can't bring our girl along that when she stays with Dzeni and Kathy she'll receive wonderful care and love.”

“Michelle was great! We’ve left our 14 yo pup with other sitters but we are always concerned. She took such good care of him. She sent updates and pictures even though it was for only 1 night. The pictures showed how comfortable he was with her and her home. We will definitely use Michelle again.”

“Dogs were well taken care of and walked and we’re very happy and I would use you service anytime and I would recommend you to all my friends.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Timber Pines
I cannot say enough about Hannah !!! Needing to find a dog sitter for my 2 fur babies in a new environment of which I was unfamiliar was daunting. My lucky day was when I came upon her profile ! She was such a help to me as I was preparing to fly out of State for my daughter’s wedding .Picked up my babies that morning when I was leaving and did it giving me plenty of time to not stress out. She sent pictures and the nicest messages. She absolutely loved my babies and they loved her ! She returned them the morning after I flew back. She had bathed them and everything ! I am so happy to have found her !! You will be too ! 🤩❤️

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Timber Pines home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Timber Pines.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Timber Pines sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
