“Joanna did an awesome job making us feel comfortable with leaving our pup with her. He is an older dog that still acts like he is in his prime, but from the first meet and greet I could tell that this was not her first time handling big dogs. We have used Rover a few times but this is by far the most comfortable we have felt. We will definitely book Joanna in the future!”

“Thanks, Laura, for having Tuxy for the week. I know he's happy to spend time there because he runs into the house when he gets there, excited to have play time! The photos Laura sends are helpful when you're gone for more than a day. I can see him playing and napping and know he's well cared for.”

“David and Vicki are a perfect fit for my little boy. He has now been with them 5 times and each time better than the last. They always post weekend pictures and send him home with a goodie bag. I couldn’t be happier to have a family I can depend on and know that Dylan will be well taken care of”

“This was the first time I ever left my dogs with anyone. If I could do 10 plus stars I would because Clary is outstanding! She kept me updated daily along with photos. My dogs were so happy with her, it showed she treated my babies as her own. I will definitely use her again, I highly recommend her. You will be able to have no worries about your pets while under her care. Thank you for such exceptional care!”

“Rhiannon was amazing with my two dogs!! She sent so many photos and videos and definitely loved on them like they were her own! They both had SO much fun and built confidence with dogs of all sizes! We will definitely be back!”

“Chris C kept my kitten for four days and three nights. This was her first time being away from me for more than eight hours. He was absolutely awesome. He sent me videos pictures text messages and I felt comfortable the entire time I was away from her. she’s almost 6 months and still a baby. He treated her like she was his own and so did his awesome cat Stasche I would definitely recommend him and I will also rebook with him whenever Skye needs a sitter really nice guy and his home was perfect for my baby to enjoy herself”

“I booked Lynn with little notice so my girls and I could take a quick trip before I needed to return to my classroom for the school year. Although, she prefers a weeks notice, which I understand, I appreciate that she was very quick to respond and was willing to help me out. This was my first time using rover and I was so pleased and put at ease the second I met Lynn! Not only is her home spotless, she is warm, quick to communicate, transparent, and makes you feel comfortable from the minute she greets you and your fur baby! She is also very knowledgeable since she used to breed huskies and has a lot of experience with many different breeds. So she had a lot of helpful tips that she was willing to share with me from her experience! My dog, Daisy, seemed very comfortable with her and seemed right at home. I love that she only takes one dog at a time and so she can give your fur baby her full attention. I also appreciated that she sent me updates and pictures. Overall, Lynn was super responsible and trust worthy. I would use Lynn in a heartbeat the next time we plan a trip, but I will give her at least a weeks notice next time around ?! Thanks again, Lynn, for taking such good care of Daisy!”

“Tracee did a great job with our two very active dogs. They were uneasy when they were dropped off but she had them calm and happy soon after I left. Tracee was in constant contact with me and sent daily pictures of my dogs happy and content. I would recommend her and she will be my first choice in the future.”
About: Animals are a calling of mine; we just get each other ☺️. I grew up with family dogs and then had literally all sorts of animals when I started my own family as an adult. Some of the pets we have had are: dogs, cats, snakes, birds, chinchillas, mice, hamsters, gerbils, fish, hermit crabs and I am sure there are more I can’t remember lol. I have cared for family and friends’ pets over the years as well. My client’s dogs always leave happy and a good “tired” from playtime if they so choose to engage that. I also provide lots of cuddles and chill time as well. I will send pics throughout their stay to keep you apprised of their day. I am choosing to only sit for dogs at the moment. We have one dog (Zoey) who is a happy chill girl. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to tussle if the other dog is willing-never any issues. I have also fostered puppies and dogs with the Pinellas humane society. I prefer to watch dogs up to 85lbs, but no larger due to space. I am retired and am home full time. I usually do not leave the house when sitting for fur babies; but if I do, I am gone no more than 2 hrs at a time. We do get occasional visits from the neighborhood kids stopping by to play with Zoey. You will get pics of your fur baby enjoying their stay with me, if you so choose. I am happy to provide as much or as little communication as makes you comfortable while your baby stays with me. We have breakfast in the morning (around 7am). Our second meal (dinner) is usually around 3-4pm - however, these times can be adjusted to your pups needs and schedule. We may do some “tricks for treats” throughout the day if you allow that. The pups often go into the backyard to chase each other and run around for exercise. When the heat is too much, we play inside where it is nice and cool. I have extra doggy beds so everyone gets their own space for nap times. I also leave several water bowls out to encourage the pups to drink- especially on our hotter days. I treat fur babies like my kids and have been told multiple times about how I spoil them so much. My preference is to pet sit in my home only for now. We have a 6ft privacy fenced yard on both sides of our home and a 4-5ft vinyl picket style along the back of the yard. It is completely enclosed with privacy gates on both sides. We also have doggy doors for their pleasure and most pups learn to use them by watching our dog go through them. However, I am not adverse to taking your pup out the regular doors if they do not want to use the doggy doors. Cuddles and love and lots of play time is what you can expect for your fur baby when they are staying with me; maybe even a little training of tricks for treats. Dogs have the run of our entire home when staying with us.
“Jenna K did a great job sitting my sweet Bella. This was our second stay with Jenna K . Bella was happy to arrive, I think she knew she had a friend to play with. Jenna K took Bella on walks and gave her a special frozen treat on Sunday. Thank you Jenna K”

“I cannot express how thankful I am that Sara was able to sit Kaylee for us! We felt 100% at ease and loved the pics we received while Kaylee was in Sara’s care… I highly recommend Sara for any NPR locals looking for a sitter, her family is awesome as well- I am actually looking forward to another vacation, knowing Sara is there for us! Thank you SO much 😊”

“Jean is absolutely fabulous and goes above and beyond for your pets. She was in contact with us daily, at a minimum, and sent photos and updates letting us know how our pups were doing. One of our dogs is “special” and usually gets gastritis after boarding due to her high anxiety. For the first time, she is a happy, healthy pup after vacation! No gastritis at all! They actually didn’t seem to be in a hurry to come home! Due to the extraordinary care she gave, we didn’t worry about our pups as much as we normally do while away. We will 100% be using Jean again for future vacations and HIGHLY recommend her. Do yourself and your pups a favor and book with Jean.”

“Jennifer does amazing with our baby Luna as usual! Absolutely phenomenal care, Luna had fun spending the weekend. I highly recommend Jennifer to care for our four-legged babies!”

“Jennifer was very flexible in accepting a last minute request for our puppy Holly over the holidays. She kept us well informed through communication and pictures. Would definitely recommend her!!”

“Ashley was a great communicator about how our dogs were doing at her place. But even better, my little chihuahua was scared of the other big dogs and Ashley took extra special 1x1 care with her on a daily basis. I certainly appreciate her going the extra mile.”

“Miriam is the best! We have used her dog boarding services on multiple occasions and our dog always comes back clean and happy. She is communicative, flexible, and so easy to work with. Her dog, Bella, is super friendly and gets along well with our dog. She always makes sure to send lots of photo update too! 10/10 recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Jasmine Estates
Adriana was absolutely amazing. I live for 3 1/2 hours away and my mom got placed in the hospital. Adriana was there to take care of her dog within 15 minutes of the book. She took great care of Raj for the days we needed her I highly recommend her services. I will absolutely rebook her in the future when needed.
Christine was a pleasure to work with. She is friendly and was very caring for my dog during her boarding at Christine’s house. Christine was very communicative and easy to get a hold of. She provided daily updates on my dog with pictures on most days. I could see how easy-going she was, but at the same time was very attentive to my dog’s needs and my instructions. Christine is clearly a dog lover and it shows with how sweet she was with my dog, and cared for her as if it were her own. This was my first time using Rover, and I highly recommend Christine as a boarder. I was not disappointed at all at giving Rover a chance. Christine gave me the confidence that everything would be fine. I could tell this was not Christine’s first rodeo. My dog warmed-up very quickly to her and there were no issues with my dog getting along with Christine. I plan to use her in the future when I need a safe and reliable person to board my dog.
Lulu had an amazing over night stay with Michelle and at such short notice too. Michelle was very accommodating to us. Lulu iisnt around other dogs at home but Michelle introduced her to her own dogs in such a safe and careful manner that Lulu actually ran around and played with her dogs and felt such at ease there. I would highly recommend Michelle and I will be booking with her again on the future.
This was my first time using a dog sitter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She took such great care of Lehx, and I felt completely at ease the entire time. The drop-off and pick-up process was smooth, and I loved receiving pictures and videos—it really meant a lot. She also made sure to ask questions beforehand to understand his needs, which I truly appreciated. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Jasmine Estates home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Jasmine Estates.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Jasmine Estates sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
