“Melissa has been such a huge help with Hatchet! He's so much happier having his daily walk with her when I'm working. She's considerate and responsive for schedule changing and that's a huge plus!”

About: With over 40 years of experience caring for cats and dogs, I provide compassionate and attentive care tailored to each pet’s needs. Whether your dog loves leisurely walks or energetic hikes, I’m happy to accommodate their activity level. I also specialize in caring for senior pets, ensuring they receive the gentle attention and support they deserve. As a trusted member of the community for over 20 years, I’m committed to providing a safe, loving, and reliable experience for both pets and their owners. I’m currently working part time and have flexibility in my schedule for walks and home visits as well as over night stays. I’m available week days and weekends. In the comfort and familiarity of your own home, your pet and I will enjoy leisurely conversations, ear scratches, and plenty of play or cuddle time.

About: I've cared for dogs for around 13 years of my life, I have also had 2 dogs since I was around 5, one before that as well. I have helped out friends and relatives by caring for, feeding, cuddling, giving medication, and letting their dogs out to potty or cleaning their cats litter boxes. I am a huge animal lover and will open all pets with open arms and the best care. I have a lots of availability to care for your pets during the day. I work until 4:30 most days so would love to stop in for pet care after I work or to walk your dog. I think it is important to learn how you keep your pets safe, every family is different. For example, if you like your dog let out only on leash, if you have a fenced in backyard they like to run in, if they sleep in a crate at night. Your dog and or cats safety is my top priority and I will do everything to keep them happy, protected and having fun.

“Michelle was awesome! She really came through in a bind. I had to work a double and the sitter I had originally booked never confirmed our appointment, so I contacted Michelle last minute and she accepted. She came off very sweet and professional. She sent me some pictures of Enzo and he looked like he had a good time. Thank you so much Michelle! Enzo and I will definitely love to use your services again in the future.”

“Karissa was so awesome to jump in and help walk my doggo while I was away on business. Having her pitch in really helped my husband who was home but has his own busy schedule, and put my mind at ease that Gunner would get double the attention and love and walks while I was away. Thank you Karissa!”

About: My animal care experience is personal and professional-I raised big dogs growing up and have my own medium-small rescue now as well and a senior Great Pyrenees. I worked at a horse rescue for years where I developed keen observational skills and knowledge of animal welfare. I’ve house-sit dogs, cats, fish, hamsters... you name it. Hiring me will be like hiring your dog-loving neighbor. I work from home in the evening, so I’m available to take your baby out for a morning or afternoon walk. I provide outdoor access throughout the day depending on the weather. I provide a safe, fenced-in yard and a dog-proofed home. Pets have free reign of the lower level during the day and then sleep in the master bedroom at night. I'm also familiar with crate training, so if you'd prefer to have your pup crated when I'm out, that's fine.

About: Hi, my name is Marissa. I’m from Northern California. My schedule doesn’t allow me to fully take care of a pet, so I decided it’s time to take care of others’ pets. I’ve grown up with Labrador Retrievers. I’ve mostly been trusted to take care of medium to larger sized dogs, as I’ve experienced them more. This is the first time in my life where I’m not taking care of a pet. It’s very different. I constantly ask my parents to send me pics of our dogs. I miss them! Their names are Callie (7 yrs) and Winston (4 yrs). I have been in and out of the RFV for 3 years. I love every season to which this area has to offer. I enjoy skiing, hiking, and reading. I just miss having dogs in my life! I am more available on the weekends than during the week! I think it’s very important to be around animals! I am unable to care for a pet in my own home, but I am available to commute to a client’s home. I am also willing to find nearby parks and/or designated walking areas if need be.

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with dogs and years of caring for a variety of breeds since moving to the valley. I’m skilled at handling multiple dogs at once, including those with different temperaments, ensuring each one receives the care and attention they need. I have a very flexible schedule and I am able to travel to provide my services. With some notice I can be available for anything you need! I have one gray tabby cat who is a little timid with dogs at first but warms up quickly and has made friends with several dogs in the past. We are able to separate her in another room if needed. She is not great with other cats but as stated before we can separate if and when needed to ensure comfort and safety for everyone involved! I professionally care for your home property and pets, handling tasks like plant care, mail collection, bird feeders, snow clearing, feeding and medications if necessary, As well as any other duties during your absence. They saw an alert about it on their phone and didn't hesitate to go grab her and take her home with them when they couldn't get ahold of us. I'm so thankful for their dedication.”

“Excellent!”

Melanie D.
“Melanie is the most responsible person I know. She has watched my pets with loving and attentive care, always maintaining a calm yet firm attitude with them. My dogs love her and behave better after she has taken care of them.”

Meghan M.
“Meghan has been around dogs and cats all her life and loves them very much. Her own dogs are a very important part of her life. She misses them when she is away and would surely dote on any dog in her care. Back in Maine she regularly enjoys playing with the dogs in the backyard, taking them on walks in the nearby woods and walking them both in the village and on the trails at the family ski condo. She has both a senior golden retriever who loves everyone and would have you rub her belly until one of you falls asleep and who has arthritis and needs meds, supplements and someone to say when ‘ the walk is over’ and a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. The Duck Toller is a loveable piece of work! He is skiddish, playful, demanding, a hoot and a joy to be around. Maybe a little less so when she is cleaning up after his occasional accident when he got a little too excited. Before that was a chocolate lab who was a loveable old soul. Then there are all the dogs of family and friends who she has loved and helped over the years. She is a natural with dogs, they all love her. Her life would be missing something without a dog to walk, play and cuddle with.”
