“Zoe did a great job caring for our dogs, Zosia and Misha. She first graciously came over for a meet and greet at my request. She immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease. We had her do 2 check ins on our babies while we were in Disneyland. She followed instructions exactly and sent us updates with pictures and videos. Appreciated her excellent care and will definitely work with her again in the future. We highly recommend her.”

About: Hi! I have been a Rover customer for years so I understand how nerve-wracking it could be to try to find a sitter for my dog. I have had amazing sitters and equally as bad ones. I have a small senior dog named Mickey. He is half miniature pinscher and half chihuahua. I love animals so much and I believe that pets are family. I treat my dog as if he is my baby and rest assured that I will treat your pet with the same amount of love and care. I live at home with my husband who is also a fantastic dad to my furbaby. We do not have kids currently. I have dog sat for my friends for years so I figured it is time to extend my services to others who need it as well. Your trust to watch your fur baby means a lot to me. Please let me know everything there is to know so I can provide the best care of your pet. I work from home so my schedule is quite flexible and I am home most of the time. Please communicate and let me know what your needs are and I will do my best to support them! I will care for your dog based on your specific instructions. Since I have a senior dog myself, I inject insulin for him twice a day and he is on a specific diet. I am no stranger to caring for special needs dogs and following instructions. I am also familiar with what to do in emergencies so please rest assured that your dog is in safe hands :)
“OMG Sarah is the best! She was wonderful at communicating with me and making sure my babies had everything they needed and I felt they were well looked after. She also sent pictures which I appreciated. I felt I could trust her with my babies and can't wait to book her again. I have a hard time trusting new people but I felt so comfortable with her. Thank you so much Sarah!”
“Saul has sat our Yorkie Bryson several times. He is extremely responsible, gives detailed info on visits and is a pet person. Bryson enjoys his visits! We are so glad we found him for our boy.”

“Yermin/Nora provided such wonderful and quality care for my senior pup in drop in visits. Eddie was well taken care of and in good spirits upon my return. Nora maintained great communication. I definitely recommend Nora.”

About: I've been caring for dogs ever since I was little, and they've always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, we had a lab and a yorkie who filled our home with so much love and energy. Now, my family has introduced our sweet Bennie boy into the mix, and he's an absolute ball of joy! Whether it's his boundless energy during playtime or his love for cuddles, he keeps us all on our toes in the best way possible. My experience with dogs of different sizes and temperaments has given me a deep understanding of their unique personalities, and I love building that special bond with each and every one of them. Taking care of dogs isn’t just a hobby for me; it’s a passion that’s been part of my life for as long as I can remember! Pet care fits smoothly into my routine, as I'm currently working part-time from home and have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for your pups! This flexibility allows me to be present and attentive to each dog’s needs, ensuring they get the love, exercise, and care they deserve. Whether it’s a morning walk, an afternoon adventure, or evening playtime, I’m ready to keep your furry friends happy and healthy! At home, we make sure Bennie gets the attention and care he needs, and I take the same approach when caring for other pets. We take Bennie on multiple walks throughout the day to help him burn off energy and take care of his needs. Our home is also set up with plenty of space for him to roam freely, and we always keep the back door open, so he can enjoy some outdoor time whenever he likes. When caring for pets in my clients' homes, I maintain the same level of attention to detail. I ensure each pet has ample space to move around comfortably, provide regular walks tailored to their energy levels, and make sure they're happy and well cared for throughout the day. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing them with a comfortable and safe environment, whether it’s in their home or mine!
“Wendy did a wonderful job watching our 2 little dogs Theo and Owen. They require special food preparation and supplements and she took extra care to see that it was done properly. She sent many photos throughout our trip which made us feel connected and confident that the dogs were well cared for.”

“Lizz, is a great dog sitter! We have booked her a few times already and always know our puppy is in good hands. She’s trustworthy to enter and leave our home with no issues and gives very well feedback and pictures on our puppy. We will continue to rebook Lizz!”

About: I truly love dogs, cats, and all kinds of pets. I have over 10 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m patient, attentive, and dedicated to making sure your pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just giving them lots of love and attention, I’m here to help! 🐾 My husband and I both work from home, which means your pets will have plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. We truly love dogs, cats, and all kinds of pets, and we’re happy to welcome them into our home. Your pets will be treated like family and cared for in a safe, loving environment. 🐾 I will carefully follow all of your instructions to make sure your pets receive the best care possible. My home provides a safe and comfortable environment where your pets can relax and feel at ease. We also make sure they get regular exercise and fresh air by taking them on walks at the park. Your pets will be well cared for, loved, and treated like part of our family. 🐾

“Thanks Tamara - we are so happy we found you on Rover. It means so much to have some one we can depend on to be punctual, sweet and responsible for our dogs. You're the best!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was at least 8. I’ve spent many years house and pet sitting for friends, neighbors, and family. Hope to work with you soon! I work full time but am off early in the afternoon. I’m available to house/pet sit during that time. Am able to stay at the house full time while you are away. I can commute to the owners home for at home pet sitting. This is less stress on your babies. Have experience in giving pill meds to animals.
“Jolina is the absolute best ! My dog is very sweet but extremely scared of noises and has severe anxiety and she instantly fell in love with Jolina. I’m so impressed with the detailed report I get daily from Jolina. I highly recommend her services !!!”

About: I have a lot of experience watching all types of animals all ages and sizes and will treat every single animal like they are my own animal! I currently only have classes on mondays for half of the day and the rest of the time i am free to care and watch your animals! I will treat your home and animals with the same respect i would at my own house with my own animals because i know it can be nerve racking to have someone new in your house with your babies
About: If you are looking for a safe, fun, and loving place for your dog to stay, look no further! I have always been passionate about animals and I have never lived without them. I currently have two dogs and a cat (all well trained). I have worked at animal shelters and have rescued, cared for, and adopted out upwards of 15 animals through my own home. When your dog stays with me, they will have a constant playmate through me, my husband and my other pets. We have a dog door with a fenced in backyard. We have toys and treats aplenty. I love to keep my families updated with pictures and videos of their animals having the time of their lives! Bring your fur baby over to play anytime! Most of my work happens at home and on my schedule. I regularly have foster animals so having extra pets in the home is already a part of my routine! We go on walks and play in the backyard! We have a dog door so there's always a bathroom for them if needed. However, we still walk however much you would like! Otherwise, they integrate into our lives as if they were our own.

Vivian is the absolute best! She’s been caring for our kitties, Jules and Vinnie, since they were little, and they absolutely adore her. Knowing they get so much love and attention when we’re away gives us complete peace of mind. We’re incredibly grateful for her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter!

Yermin did a great job with my kitty and dog. She had no problem "job sharing" with a friend of mine, who came by twice a day to walk the pup and Yermin came by each evening to make sure kitty and pup were fed and got him out for his last pee of the day before bed. She was very responsive when contacted and she was always in communication. Also sent lots of photos, which I love!

Chandler took excellent care of our senior cat Chonky. She was very attentive to Chonky's needs. She gave him amply play time, brushed him and pet him. She also took care of feeding, giving him water top ups, taking out the trash, cleaning the dishes and litter boxes. She also vacuumed the tracked litter off the floor. We definitely recommend Chandler for your cat care needs!

We went on a trip for a few days and Karyn helped us care for our 5-year old cat, Luna. Karyn is compassionate and loving, who takes great care of Luna. Karyn communicates well and is very responsive. We are 100% satisfied and we would recommend her service to friends.

My cats really warmed up to Ethan although they're typically very shy with strangers. The updates and photos were prompt and very thorough as well. Ethan also went above and beyond: my cats unfortunately threw up in three different places in the apartment and he unfortunately vomited in three different places in the apartment and he cleaned them up thoroughly, including the rug under the couch. I would definitely recommend Ethan as a pet sitter.

Grace is an excellent, reliable pet-sitter. She followed my directions to a "t"! My 3 Bengals reported that she fed them their favorite food, loved them perfectly, thoroughly cleaned their litter boxes, and ensured that they got their play time! My kitties and I highly recommend Grace to anyone looking for a living, dependable pet-sitter.

Monica is a great sitter and animal lover, she's good at following instructions and was great with my kitties while I was away. Tallulah responded well to Monica and enjoyed her visits, Precious is always shy, but eventually got used to her visits. Communication was mostly great, but could be improved. I arranged an emergency sitter for one visit due to a lack of communication/slow response. Overall, Monica was a reliable sitter and the cats would be happy to see her again. I would recommend Monica and would hire her again, so long as she's clear about availability and visiting times.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Atwood. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
