“This was the first time I let someone else watch my dog and was pretty nervous. However, Alison was great and I felt confident leaving my pup with her. She kept him active and gave me the perfect amount of updates. Whenever I need someone to watch him again, I will go right back to her. She is the freaking best. Could not have gone better.”

About: I’ve been around dogs, cats and other pets my whole life. I grew up on a hobby farm and have over 10 years of experience caring for pets of all ages—from kittens and puppies to seniors. I currently have two dogs of my own and know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. Since I work from home, I’m able to be flexible and give your pet the attention they deserve, whether that’s regular walks, check-ins, or just some extra company during the day. I’m also a clear communicator and will always keep you in the loop while you're away. Looking forward to getting to know your pet! I work from home, so I am flexible about what time of day I can drop in on your pets. I can also bring my computer and work from your home if needed. Weekend availability varies but I keep my schedule up to date on Rover. I take care of pets in their own home so they can stay in a familiar, stress-free environment. I'll follow the routine you provide—whether it’s feeding, walks, or medication—and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m respectful of your home, double-check doors and gates, and always keep you updated with how things are going. Whether it’s a drop-in, walk, or overnight stay, you can count on reliable care and clear communication.

“Katlyn is super responsive and my dog had a great stay at her place! Her dog Benji is adorable and playful. She has a nice big back yard for the dogs to run around and tire out. We look forward the next visit.”

“Cass was very good to our fur babies! I have two poodles, one of which is two years old and one that is almost a year old so still a puppy, and she did absolutely wonderful with them. Between the several updates and many pictures, I was put at ease knowing that my babies were being well taken care of. With lots of play, love, and walks they were happily exhausted by the time we picked them up from a fun filled weekend. I would recommend her if you want someone diligent and attentive to your dogs while also giving them many opportunities to have fun and enjoy the outdoors.”

Jeff was great! It was the first time our dogs have ever had a sitter and they loved their stay. We have 2 older dogs so it was a change for them. Jeff stayed in communication with us and sent pictures so we knew they were in good hands. Highly recommend Jeff to take care of your fur-babies!
Flawlessly amazing and kind! I just cannot say enough about Brittany and her kindness in caring for our high energy baby boy. She completely understood his need to burn energy outside and go for a walk. He was treated so well. Lots of cute pictures. I also am dealing with mobility issues with a broken foot I had surgery on. She was so understanding of my situation and picked him up at our house and brought him to me so he would not pull me on a leash. A really excellent experience for our dog and me!!!! We are all looking forward to using Brittany again. Thank you very much!!!
We loved working with Kimberly. She watched our dog for the first time and suggested a meet and greet to make sure she was a good fit with her own dog. We loved that and it made us trust her from the start. When we met her, Kimberly asked us many questions about our dog that made us feel like she would take very good care of her. Also, Kimberly’s home is quite literally the perfect set up for dogs. We know that our dog loved staying there and we enjoyed the updates Kimberly sent us throughout her stay. We will definitely be using her again in the future!

Mary was amazing!! My dog does not normally like new people but he loved Mary and she took great care of him. I even had to book last minute because of a funeral. I was able to be fully present with my family at our time of loss because my dog was so well cared for. Thanks Mary!!

Hannah was an exceptional dog sitter. She treated our dog as if he were her own, sent tons of photos, he was so happy with her! I think he honestly even forgot we existed while he stayed with her. She is very accommodating. Next time we go to Green Bay, we will always ask Hannah to watch our boy first!

Sarah and Kiernan were so kind, professional, and thorough. They were wonderful communicators- with learning about our pup’s needs and providing updates and photos/videos. Our pup came home happy and tired from the walks and playtime. Highly recommend this mother-son team!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
