“Susan was wonderful to work with when trying to find a sitter for our dog. She was quick to respond and was so kind to our dog. I loved that she sent pictures while we were away. I highly recommend Susan. :)”

“Very nice couple! They took excellent care of our 4 month old Golden Puppy with tons of attention and everybody knows the extra attention that puppies need and ours can be a little pistol. Communication and updates were a breeze. We don’t live in the area but the next time we are visiting Frank and Wife will be our first call”

“Kristal did an awesome job taking care of our 'baby" and making her feel at home while we were out of state for a wedding. She kept us up on how Shasta was doing & sent pictures each day. It was good to see how she had found her favorite spot in their home & also enjoyed their outside fenced-in yard. Since they no longer have a dog of their own & only take in one boarder at a time, she had more attention than some days at home! We would definitely take her to Kristal again.”

“What can I say? Melissa was amazing. Needed a sitter for our Weimaraner at the last minute. Needed to leave town for family reasons. Called the usual suspects. They gave me the dog and pony show. No pun. Ridiculous what you got to go through to board your dog these days. A few of my friends and customers recommended Rover. I went on there and checked it out. In about 30 minutes from first seeing it, to signing up, I had already booked Melissa to watch our dog Kaiser. I arranged to bring him over, and she couldn't have been any more sweet. I can really tell that she loves animals. Very cool chick too. Our dog was in good hands the couple days he was there. When we got him back, he was well rested, and had none of the anxiety boarding can bring on. It's great to know I have someone that I can rely on if we leave town for any reason to watch after our pooch. I couldn't recommend her anymore. Thank you!”

“Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking such good care of our doggie while we were away for a week. Knowing he was being loved and cared for like he is a member of your family gave us such a peace of mind.”

“Heather gave frequent updates and pictures to ease my mind that our dog was well taken care of and also having fun. She was great in communicating pick up and drop off and offered a lot of flexibility. Thank you Heather!!!”

“All I can say is WOW at the care, love, and attention Leo recieved from Beth and Chad! They know what they are doing and picked up a very cared for pup after our trip. Book them, you won’t regret it!”

About: I grew up with all kinds of animals including dogs, cats, horses, ducks, and rabbits. I also had a great deal of time with other animals such as cows, and chickens at my Grandpa's dairy farm. One of my past jobs was being a dog sitter, to care for them, and do some training as well. I loved it! 🙂😁 I now have a German Shepard and Husky mix named Apollo, and I love teaching him new things, spending time with him, and of course taking care of him. 🥰❤️ I'm currently working as a house cleaner, and although I love the job, I would like to work some more hours. Sometimes clients cancel or reschedule cleanings resulting in less hours. I'm looking to do this hopefully full time, as I miss working with dogs. 🙂😁 I currently have a huge yard, but I can also give walks if suggested. I'm welcoming any animals except cats due to my boyfriend being allergic. I will do my very best to help any of your fur babies feel at home. 💌😁
“Did an amazing job taking care of my special needs Frenchie (blind). She kept me updated, sent pics and allowed my granddaughter to visit him while he was there. Definitely use again.”

“Denise and her whole family are fantastic!! Our dog Miley loved her stay. I highly recommend Denise to anyone who is looking for a kind and compassionate dog sitter!!”

“Chelsea was easy to communicate with and made the whole process easy. We did a meet and greet beforehand and I felt very comfortable with her. I knew my dog was in good hands and will definitely use her again!”

“Both my dogs had a great time with Rebecca and her family over the weekend! She was very good with communicating updates and I loved hearing how much fun they were both having, especially with their other dogs!”

“Jeffrey took wonderful care of our 4 year old boxer Maggie. We got her back happy and relaxed! I loved receiving his daily update about how Maggie was doing while we were away.”

“Caitlin & Samuel were amazing with our dog! They provided pictures every day and were very flexible when we had to adjust our drop off time. We will definitely be booking with them again.”

About: I’ve walked dogs since I was 8 years olds, started house sitting at 13 for dogs, cats, and small animals. I considered my years of experience after adulthood for frosting cats and dogs. As well as my personal experience with horses, goats, chickens, rabbits, and more. I love them all and my kids do too. We are currently a single dog household with no cats, much to my kids disappointment. We are hoping that providing our children a wide range of experiences they will understand what the long term responsibilities will look like before adding another permanent furry family member. I work from home 95% of the time, only going in office once a month. My children are all young so we aren’t gone all weekend at sporting events and spend most of the time at home. While I do not have a fenced yard directly tied to the house there is lots of room on site to explore on walks and get exercise. There is also a fully enclosed fenced paddock if they enjoy playing fetch off leash. Our furniture is pet friendly but we will respect your rules. A ranch level house so only a drop down step into the living rooms and a few off the back porch making this a smooth retreat for your little legged friend or senior dog.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
