“Melissa and her family did such a great job with Tucker while we were out of state for a family wedding. Tucker tends to have separation anxiety when away from his people, but he was very at home with Melissa! Thank you for providing peace of mind while we were away!”

“Zoe love, love, loves going to Bobbie and Clark's, She fits right in with their dogs, huskies, and their family loves on her. I can't say enough how much she enjoys her time at their home.”

“Shelby watched my two small pups for a week. She was great at keeping me informed throughout that time with updates. She was very attentive to their needs and was especially accommodating to my elderly pup who requires some extra care. I felt very comfortable leaving them in Shelby’s care and will use her again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs, cats and other pets my whole life. I grew up on a hobby farm and have over 10 years of experience caring for pets of all ages—from kittens and puppies to seniors. I currently have two dogs of my own and know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. Since I work from home, I’m able to be flexible and give your pet the attention they deserve, whether that’s regular walks, check-ins, or just some extra company during the day. I’m also a clear communicator and will always keep you in the loop while you're away. Looking forward to getting to know your pet! I work from home, so I am flexible about what time of day I can drop in on your pets. I can also bring my computer and work from your home if needed. Weekend availability varies but I keep my schedule up to date on Rover. I take care of pets in their own home so they can stay in a familiar, stress-free environment. I'll follow the routine you provide—whether it’s feeding, walks, or medication—and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m respectful of your home, double-check doors and gates, and always keep you updated with how things are going. Whether it’s a drop-in, walk, or overnight stay, you can count on reliable care and clear communication.
“Angela was amazing and went above and beyond for our pups. I felt comfortable from the moment I met her & she took excellent care of our 2 little dogs for 10 nights in her home during a historic blizzard. She still took them for walks & sent us updates throughout our trip. She was very accommodating with drop off & pick up times & I would absolutely use her again!”

“Heather and her husband were so great with our dog, Sheeva. It was our first Rover experience and we had a wonderful experience with them. They sent photos and updates every day so we could see how she was doing and that was very much appreciated. Sheeva was a happy and tired girl when we picked her up so it was clear she had a great time. We will be booking with Heather again!”

“Denise and her family were so wonderful! She sent pictures regularly and helped with scout when my flight was cancelled. Scout enjoyed her time with them and we are both grateful!”

“Kaylyn did a fantastic job watching our huskies! She took the time to make sure she understood them and their needs and kept us updated throughout their stay. We can't wait to book with her again!”

“Melissa and her mother were very welcoming and accommodating for our stay with them. Due to a change in plans on my part, she allowed me to pick up my dog earlier than arranged which was very nice. They notified me of my dog's progress and sent pictures of her stay.”

“Alex did a great job with our energetic, 2.5 year old GSD. He kept us updated everyday and our pup loved her time with him. She happily greeted us and then promptly knocked out soon after we got back on the road haha. No question your pup will be in good hands with Alex.”

“We loved working with Kimberly. She watched our dog for the first time and suggested a meet and greet to make sure she was a good fit with her own dog. We loved that and it made us trust her from the start. When we met her, Kimberly asked us many questions about our dog that made us feel like she would take very good care of her. Also, Kimberly’s home is quite literally the perfect set up for dogs. We know that our dog loved staying there and we enjoyed the updates Kimberly sent us throughout her stay. We will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Kerry and her family took amazing care of our boxer, Betsy, while we were away for a week. From the start, Kerry was quick and easy to communicate with, which made the whole process stress-free. What really stood out were the daily updates and pictures—seeing Betsy happy, relaxed, and clearly loved gave us so much peace of mind while we were on vacation. It truly felt like Betsy was part of their family during her stay. She went on daily walks, got plenty of attention, and was very well cared for the entire time. You could tell Kerry genuinely enjoys dogs, and her whole family embraced Betsy like their own. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely trust Kerry again in the future!”

“Holly and her family are the best thing that could've happened to our 2 pups when we went on vacation! They truly treat them like they are part of their own family, and we received updates and pictures every day. We appreciate them so much for taking such good care, and we'll definitely be using Holly again for pet sitting. 1,000/5 stars!!! ❤️”

“Our young golden retriever had a great time with Susan and her girls and their dog Oreo. Susan sent daily updates and pictures, which was so nice. We will take Gatsby to vacation there the next time our family goes away.”
“She was absolutely wonderful with my dogs! My boys were super happy when I went and saw them and Melissa gave me many updates. She was very kind and very down to earth, would absolutely recommend and will come back if I need someone to watch my dogs again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
