Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine since I’m currently taking a break from traveling for work and will be home most of the time. This means your pet will have plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision, with only brief periods when I may need to run an errand.

Some things about your dog that will be important for me to know are: 1. Routine: Their daily schedule for meals, walks, naps, and playtime. 2. Diet & Allergies: Specific food preferences, feeding schedule, and any dietary restrictions or allergies. 3. Behavior & Temperament: How they interact with other pets, people, or new environments. 4. Health Needs: Any medical conditions, medications, or special care required. 5. Exercise Preferences: Whether they enjoy long walks, playtime, or prefer a more relaxed environment. 6. Triggers & Fears: Any fears (e.g., loud noises, strangers) or behavioral quirks (e.g., separation anxiety, doesn’t like ears touched etc.). 7. A typical day
A typical day with a dog I’m boarding/sitting starts with a morning walk to get their energy out, followed by breakfast and some playtime. Afterward, I’ll offer plenty of cuddle time or a nap in a cozy spot. In the afternoon, we might go for another walk, followed by interactive play like fetch or tug-of-war. Throughout the day, I’ll provide treats, training sessions (if desired), and lots of love and attention. Evenings are spent winding down with some calm time before bed, ensuring your dog feels safe and comfortable every step of the way! Every dog is different and activities can be adjusted depending on activity level of the dog.

Pet care experience
***For boarding and daycare requests-please stay current with age appropriate vaccines, and flea & tick medication’s. This is for my safety as well as your pet and the others in my home*** With 26 years of hands-on experience, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities. From my own pets to fostering, volunteering, and watching friends’ and family’s dogs. Your dog will be treated like part of my family with plenty of play, attention, and love. A calm environment is also provided. ***PLEASE NOTE*** I offer both boarding and daycare, so while your dog may sometimes be the only overnight guest, I do have regular daycare buddies who come play during the week. Because of this, I’m not able to take pups who need to be the only dog here—but I promise to make sure your furry friend feels safe, happy, and loved while they’re with me. Lots of cuddles, playtime, and updates included!

Reviews

She was amazing. Kept me informed of my fetch loving puppers. Listened to my instructions or rather warnings about dobby and his ability to get into anything edible if he can reach it; creating a safe place for pupper pants. Allowed me some much needed alone time as a solo dog dad. 10/10 would recommend her.

Shanna is amazing. My dog is very attached to me but when we get to her house he goes right in and loves to play with his friends. She takes great care of him and sends me lots of pictures and updates. We’ve used her for several extended vacations and she always so flexible with our timing and communication. We appreciate her and couldn’t ask for a better experience.

We love the photos and videos that Shanna shares. Can’t wait to see how much fun they have on the 3pm walk!

Shanna took great care of Bowie; he has a little snafu with some other dogs but Shanna was able to manage and even sent some pictures and updates to me while I was away at my appt. Thank you Shanna!
