He’s gone above and beyond to make sure our pup is comfortable, happy, and well cared for. We’re so grateful to have found him and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind dog walker/ sitter.”

About: I am a dog owner for the past 7 years and own two Setter pups. Friends have entrusted me with their dogs for petsitting and dog walking - in some occasions I would have as many as 4 dogs with me, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! As a dog parent I know how important is to have someone you trust with your baby, I will treat your dog as my own, making sure your dog is safe and happy! I mostly work from home during the week, which allows me to be flexible to go on a walk with your pup to get some fresh air or do a drop in visit to spend some time with them. When I drop in to check on your pup or take on a walk, I will always follow your instructions closely and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. During walks, I will keep a close eye on them, always be on leash, and make sure they get the right amount of exercise based on their energy level. Afterward, provide a quick pupdate so you know your pup is happy and well taken care of.

“Dar took great care of our cats while we were gone. She was easy to get in touch with, fast at responding to our messages, and reliable. We will definitely keep her in mind for the next time we need pet care.”

About: 🐾 I’ve been caring for dogs since I was young, and it’s been a lifelong passion. Over the years, I’ve looked after pups of all sizes—from a tiny 8 lb dachshund to strong, lovable 100 lb pitbull mix. My experience includes everything from energetic puppies to slow-moving seniors, each with their own needs and personalities. I currently live with two spayed female dogs who are well-socialized and have peacefully cohabitated with several foster dogs since last year. I regularly volunteer with Border Tails Rescue, providing a safe, nurturing home for dogs in transition. Through fostering, I’ve gained deep experience with behavior observation, gentle training, and helping anxious or shy dogs feel secure. I’ve managed feeding routines, administered medications, and supported dogs through recovery and adjustment periods. I’m especially mindful of canine body language and group dynamics, and I only accept dogs who are friendly with others to maintain a safe, peaceful environment. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love. I treat every pup with patience, respect, and the kind of attention I’d want for my own. 🐶 When dog sitting, I am home all day so your pup will have lots of attention. On the rare occasion I do leave the house, it's never for more than 4 hours at a time. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I share my home with two friendly, playful dogs—Miley, a 50 lb mixed breed, and a 75 lb American Bully—who are well-socialized and enjoy respectful canine company. My securely fenced yard provides space for supervised outdoor play, and my middle school children, who are also well-versed in watching and caring for dogs, help ensure everyone feels safe and supported. I only accept dogs who are known to be dog-friendly to maintain a positive, secure environment for all.

About: I'm a mother of 2 small children, so I'm excellent at multi-tasking and thinking on my feet. I've taken care of my own dog for 10 years before having children, and understand the joy it brings dogs to go on walks and experience all the smells throughout the neighborhood. I also know that dogs are part of the family (my dog was like my baby), so I take this role very seriously. I work from home every day except Thursday, so I have more availability. Also available most weekends at some point during the days and evenings. I take great care to follow the family's instructions with feeding, walking, and playing. I have watched my brother-in-law's dog in my home and she thrived here while he was out of town.

“We were out for a few days, and Kayla stopped by three times to take care of our dog. She attended to all our requests and more, very friendly and easy to work with. She kept us updated throughout the process. I highly recommend Kayla to all my friends who need a pet sitter or just drop-ins.”

About: Currently, I have two cats. I've had a dog, but before that, I primarily had birds (parakeets), lizards (bearded dragons) and frogs (mostly bull frogs). I cat-sit on occassion for a friend and sibling. I also raise Monarch caterpillars in the summer and release the adults. I work full time outside the home but am home in the summer (teacher). I am available weekends and weekday evenings, with sufficient notice of weekday needs. I am usually available Friday evening through Sunday evening. I am looking to do drop-in pet care and dog boarding. I could board a small pet that resides in an enclosure in my home or a dog (or two dogs from the same household). Both my cats are comfortable with dogs but tend to keep to themselves. I have 2 children and 2 cats at home. It’s a one floor house. The yard is nice and big. I don’t have a fence but I do have a longer leash so the dogs can run a bit.

“Cristina did such a wonderful job with our 12-year old Lab mix! He can be a difficult dog but she handled him wonderfully, was a great communicator, and took some of the best photos of our pup ever! I am happy to recommend Cristina unreservedly!”

About: Hi there! ☺️ With over 10 years of experience caring for animals - both in-home and at professional facilities - I’ve pretty much seen it all (and loved every second of it)! I currently work at a luxury pet resort, where I’m lucky enough to pamper pups (and their human parents), and keep all kinds of furry friends happy and healthy. 🐾 I’ve also worked at a horse stable and have hands-on experience with senior dogs, cats, birds and even fish. I grew up with a lovable Maltese and stray cat, so I know just how important it is to treat every pet like family. Whether your fur baby needs cuddles, playtime, or just someone to keep them company, I’ve got things covered! 🐶🐠🐱🐴🐢 Although I work full-time at a luxury pet resort in the Chicago suburbs, my flexibility is quite open in the early morning/late evening hours and the weekend! Although I cannot care for your pet(s) in my own home, I am more than happy to visit your humble abode and keep your fur-baby's company as I take care of them to the fullest!

“Joanna fostered the puppy- Maeve- that we adopted in June. Joanna was able to tell us all about Maeve’s temperament with other dogs and children. Joanna was friendly and easy to talk to. When we adopted Maeve, she was mostly housebroken, thanks to Joanna! Since we had been able to talk to Joanna about Maeve beforehand, adopting her was a very smooth transition! Joanna also gave us her cell phone number so that we could continue to ask her any questions about Maeve after adoption. We had a great experience adopting Maeve and working with Joanna as her foster mom. Joanna would be a great pet sitter!”
