About: Hi, I’m Carla! My love for dogs has been a part of my life since childhood, and caring for them has always been something close to my heart. In January 2012, I adopted my beloved Candy. She was my faithful companion for over 14 years, and I said goodbye to her in April 2026. Candy taught me so much about patience, understanding, and the special bond we share with our dogs. She also taught me firsthand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust to care for your furry family. Over the years, I’ve shared my home with English Bulldogs, a Chihuahua, a Black Labrador, and Candy. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of different breeds, personalities, and behaviors, including leash reactivity, pulling, lunging, and barking. Since March 2024, I’ve dedicated over 1,000 volunteer hours to shelter dogs, walking dogs of all sizes and personalities and providing enrichment. I also work with shy, fearful, and reactive dogs, helping them build confidence and feel more comfortable. Since Candy’s passing, I’ve also started occasionally fostering dogs who need a little extra love and care. Whether your dog is outgoing and energetic or shy and sensitive, I’ll do my best to make them feel safe, loved, and understood. Their well-being and safety will always be my priority. I know how much trust it takes to leave your beloved pet in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I would love to meet you and your furry family member! I have a flexible schedule and can plan my day around your pet’s needs. Typically, dogs would not be left alone for more than 4–5 hours. Monday through Thursday, I have commitments from approximately 2–6 PM, which I take into consideration when scheduling pet care. I provide loving, attentive care tailored to each dog’s individual needs and routine. I follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and any special care requirements. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Care in My Home: I don’t have a fenced yard, so outdoor time consists of leashed walks or a long line for your pet to run. I provide a minimum of five walks per day to ensure your dog gets plenty of opportunities to go outside. I also have two stepchildren, ages 11 and 14, so dogs staying in my home must be comfortable around children. They may not be here when you pet is depending on the time. In-Home Pet Sitting: When caring for your pets in your home, I maintain their usual routines and provide attentive care in their familiar surroundings. My maximum stay for overnight pet sitting is 3–4 nights. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my priority! For care in my home: I do not have a yard. I provide a minimum of 5 walks a day. I also have two step children that are 11 and 14, so any pets should be fine with kids when they are in my home. For in home pet sitting I have a max stay of 3-4 nights.

Gabrielle was a wonderful sitter for the week that I had her drop in on my 2 cats. My cats are 16 and 13 and are definitely in house cats. One is friendly and the other is skittish and shy. One needed meds. She visited them and gave daily feedback and sent pictures. She also administered the meds, fed them and cleaned the litter. She even watered my large plant.
