Hello! My name is Leora, I'm a massive animal lover with decades of experience caring for cats and dogs alike, and I would love to help out with your furry loved one(s). I initially came to Rover as a client, then in early 2020 applied to be a sitter as a fun side hustle, and wound up loving it here so much it's now my main gig! Whatever the species, size, age, or breed of your little buddy, I'm in, I'm down, I love them already. My last partner-in-crime was a tough old pup who lived to 16 against considerable odds, so I've got a particular fondness for older pets, and I'm very comfortable managing mobility limitations, as well as a wide range of health conditions. I have extensive experience administering oral medications, injections, ear and eye drops, skin creams and ointments, skunk baths - whatever their needs, you can be sure they're in good hands with me :)

Leora was amazing with our Mickey! This was our first time leaving her for a few days, and Leora made the whole experience stress-free. She was very respectful of our home, followed all instructions perfectly, and kept us updated with messages and photos. Mickey can be a bit shy, but Leora was patient and let her adjust comfortably, which we really appreciated. You can tell she truly cares about animals. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!

Schedule
I currently walk dogs every weekday from 10-4. My regular route spans Buffalo Grove and Wheeling, as well as parts of Riverwoods/Deerfield, Vernon Hills, Lake Zurich and Palatine. I do sometimes have enough wiggle room to squeeze in an extra walk or two along the way, but please be advised: my bustling slate of regular pups keep me pretty busy during those peak hours, so capacity is likely to be very limited. Outside of peak hours, I am available for walks and visits 7 days a week from 9am-9pm. On weekdays, that typically means I have about an hour available in the morning for cat/dog visits before I need to start my regular route, and then my availability opens back up for the evening around 4. Weekends are far more flexible! *As of fall 2024, my regular weekday afternoon walk schedule has reached full capacity Monday-Thursday. Regular appointment slots are still available for Fridays only. Late afternoon appointments (3:00 or later) may also be available M-F upon request.*
