“My two pups had a great time at daycare for the last 3 days while I was in town on business. Pattie & Mike were super flexible as this was a last minute booking, and kept us updated with adorable pics showing how much fun they were having all day. One of my pups is typically very shy around new people and will shake or hide behind us, but on our second day she went straight to them, happy as can be, wagging like crazy at dropoff. I know my girls are in good hands here, and will definitely be using Pattie again when I'm in town.”

About: I have grown up with many animals, including exotic animals. We have a grooming station in home and love animals of all types and breeds. I haven’t accept exotic animals as well. I have owned horses, mini pigs inside my house, sugar, gliders, chinchillas, hamsters, lizards, cat, dogs, ferrets, I’m probably forgetting a few more. I have an open schedule and care for my pets very well. My dog even gets dental cleanings every year. My favorites get their nails cut and bathed weekly. I have multiple dog beds, a cat tower tons of toys for all different red animals. Have a fenced in backyard, grooming, station, and home. I have extra cages or tanks if need be. I prefer not to kettle animals unless they need to be under the owners agreement.

Rhondarose san was so supportive and kind to clear our worries whether Wasabi is OK to stay outside. Also she carefully monitor Wasabi's first stay outside with very experienced approach. We are so happy to meet her this time and will ask support to Wasabi definitely soon.”

About: I love animals. I have loved, played with, nursed, and fed any kind of dog you an imagine. Im also comfortable around cats considering they tend be independent and communicative in their own way. I genuinely enjoy the process of training and nurturing animals. I have experience caring for newborn puppies and dogs with health issues as well as making natural and organic meals for dietary needs. I believe patience , affection, and repetition are the recipe to connecting with our all of our furry friends. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any additional questions. I work from home so pet care wouldn’t disrupt my routine at all. And I would be able to tend to a dog with special needs. I have a fenced in yard and personal fenced in patio off of my kitchen. It allows your buddy to get some fresh air in between walks and be secure
“I was very nervous about leaving my over-anxious, high-maintenance rescue baby with someone for the very first time, but Marta was amazing. She made both me and him feel at ease and provided a great day-time stay! Already booking her overnight for our vacation in January. Thank you!!”

“Prithvi has been absolutely wonderful from the start of our communication, to the meet and greet, and to caring after Penny today while our caregivers are still out of town. I felt very comfortable leaving Penny with Prithvi and her new friend Loki. Thank you for the updates, pictures and videos.”

“Sue has been watching our pup Archie for a while with her daughter and does an amazing job. She treats him like her own giving us piece of mind that our pup is safe and happy while we are at work. We also appreciate the socialization he’s gotten meeting some other pups while at day care. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sue to anyone!”
About: For the past 8 years, I have been providing off-and-on sitting, boarding, and walking care for various relatives' dogs. Through caring for family pets, ranging from energetic Boxers to gentle Cockapoos, I have gained extensive, hands-on experience handling different temperaments, routines, and unique canine behaviors. While household allergies mean I am unable to have a full-time dog of my own, opening up my schedule to part-time pet sitting allows me to bring my passion for dogs into my daily life. This setup works beautifully for my clients, as it means your dog receives 100% of my focused attention and care during their time with me, without competing for space with a resident pet. Because I am currently doing pet care full-time, my schedule is highly flexible and open. I am available throughout the day for morning, midday, and evening walks or drop-in visits, seven days a week. This open availability means I can easily accommodate your dog’s specific routine, feeding times, and potty schedule without rush. Whether you need a reliable midday walker while you are at the office, or a flexible sitter for last-minute weekend plans, I am here to provide consistent, dedicated care when you need it most. Safety on Walks & Drop-Ins Safety is my absolute top priority. When walking your dog, I practice active situational awareness—I monitor the environment for triggers like loud traffic, bicycles, or off-leash dogs well before they become an issue. I use a secure, two-handed leash grip and never let your dog off-leash in public spaces. If your dog is sensitive or easily spooked, I am happy to take quieter routes and use positive reinforcement to keep them feeling safe and secure. My Home Environment (For Short-Term Boarding) I live in a clean, smoke-free home with a secure, fully fenced yard where your dog can safely stretch their legs under my direct, 100% supervision. I do not have any resident dogs or cats, meaning your pup will enjoy a peaceful environment without the stress of competing for space. We do share our home with a few securely housed reptiles (a Ball Python, a DeKay's Brown Snake, and two leopard geckos) who live strictly inside their locked enclosures, completely out of reach of guest dogs. Because we manage a saliva allergy in our household, my home is kept exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and structured. We maintain excellent boundaries: guest dogs are kept out of bedrooms and are safely crated during bedtime or if I ever need to step out for a brief moment. Your dog will receive a wonderful balance of structure, safety, and a whole lot of love.
About: My journey with Rover began approximately 8 years ago and it's been a delight to meet and care for furry babies when their parents were in need of a responisible and trusted caretaker. At that time, my Lola, was just as excited to befriend and play with pals. As my Lola grew older, she developed medical issues and my attention and all the time I could give, was directed only towards her. Therefore, I took a pause to spend time with her and give her all I could. Her time, to join the rest of angel friends, came on December 17th, 2025. I came back to Rover simply because I miss the company of the most pure soul and my best friend of 13 years. I know how important it is to leave your pet in good care, cater to your best friend just as your own family and hope to meet them soon.
“Christina, Nash, and the whole family were great hosts for Charlie! Christina provided a mid day update along with pictures and carved out time in her day for a 2-mile walk with the dogs. They all were very welcoming and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Christina and hope we will be back periodically for more visits.”

“Mary was great. We were in the area for an unexpected family trip and wanted to do a little nearby sight-seeing without leaving Bibi alone in a strange environment. She took us on with late notice and was a great communicator through the whole process, which was especially great as we were new to the Rover platform. Highly recommend. Thanks so much.”

About: Dogs have always been an important part of my life. In addition to owning dogs, I have cared for pets for family, friends, and neighbors over the years. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and I strive to provide the love, attention, exercise, and comfort they deserve while their families are away. My goal is to help pets feel happy, secure, and cared for, while giving their owners confidence and peace of mind. She is an incredible professional. Her energy, knowledge, and passion for training dogs really stand out. She doesn't just work with the dogs—she also teaches owners how to better understand and train them. Scöll always comes home happy, relaxed, and excited after spending time with her, which says a lot about the care and dedication she puts into her work. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an outstanding dog trainer.

Robert and Val showed lots of care for my fur baby, Pantera. They were both very welcoming and made sure my dog was comfortable and settled in. I also received pictures and updates throughout the day, which was nice. I would definitely book them again in the future.

Melina was great with day care for our little Guy! Our pitty is 2 months old, and we were anxious about leaving him. Melina was amazing about updates, sending pictures, and letting us know if he seemed a little off. She cuddled and play with him like he was her own pup! He was very well taken care of. Will definitely be booking again :)

Marta was amazing for her first time with our dog, Chloe. She knew how to handle her around other dogs and she made us feel at ease. Communication was great and she was very flexible with our schedule.I would highly recommend her and we will use her for future needs.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Arlington Heights commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
