Lifetime Dog Lover with Fenced Yard
🐾 I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a young child, and it’s been a lifelong passion. Over the years, I’ve looked after pups of all sizes - from a tiny 8 lb mini dachshund to a brawny 100 lb pitbull mix. My experience includes everything from energetic puppies to slow-moving seniors, each with their own needs and personalities. I currently live with two spayed female dogs who are well-socialized and have peacefully cohabitated with several foster dogs since last year. I regularly volunteer with Border Tails Rescue, providing a safe, nurturing home for dogs in transition. Through fostering, I’ve gained deep experience with behavior observation, gentle training, and helping anxious or shy dogs feel secure. I’ve managed feeding routines, administered medications, and supported dogs through recovery and adjustment periods. I’m especially mindful of canine body language and group dynamics, and I only accept dogs who are friendly with others to maintain a safe, peaceful environment. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do... it’s something I truly love. I treat every pup with patience, respect, and the kind of attention I’d want for my own. 🐶

Joanna and her family were absolutely amazing with our boy. We could see their passion for dogs and caring for them, right away. We were away for a week and while we missed Sarge very much, we were at great ease with the care he recieved. Sarge got along great with their two absolutely adorable dogs. This was our 2 and a half year old dog's first time away from home and I wasn't sure how it would go. Wow! He had so much fun chasing and playing with Joanna's 2 dogs...and fell in love with Joanna. At the initial meeting I could tell that Joanna knows what she is doing and is well-qualified to take good care of her visiting dogs! Our dog, Duke, had a wonderful time and we felt confident of good care! I was afraid he wouldn't want to come home! Large grassy yard and comfortable surroundings inside. We will use Joanna again. Schedule
When dog sitting, I am home most of day so your pup will have lots of attention. On occasions I do leave the house, your pup will be crated or separated from my dogs in a segregated area for their safety.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are my top priorities. I share my home with two friendly, playful dogs - Miley, a 50 lb pit mix, and a 75 lb American Bully. They are well-socialized and enjoy respectful canine company. My securely fenced yard provides space for supervised outdoor play, and my middle school children, who are also well-versed in watching and caring for dogs, help ensure everyone feels safe and supported. I only accept pups who are crate/house trained, non-reactive, and dog-friendly to maintain a positive, secure environment for all.
Pets
A typical day
For dogs who are good on a leash, I am able to take them for walks if requested. Otherwise, I give them plenty of time outside to roam around and play in our fenced backyard. Inside, your pup will have freedom to lounge around on furniture throughout the house and wrestle with my playful pups. We have lots of stuffed toys, balls, chew toys, and elk antlers to keep your pup entertained.
