Pet care experience

Aud Dog is here to <3 on furbabies!

Hi there! I’m Audrea, but many people call me “Aud Dog.” I’m a lifelong animal lover, advocate, and someone who truly believes our pets are family. I grew up in Central Indiana surrounded by dogs and cats, and I’ve cared for pets ranging malti-poos, toy poodles, to large breeds such as Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Great Danes. There are very few breeds I have not had at least a little bit of experience with. I currently have a Standard Poodle, Buster, that I’ve personally trained since the day we brought him home and achieved our AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate. What sets me apart is the amount of patience, attentiveness, and genuine connection I bring to every animal I care for. Every pet communicates differently, and I love taking the time to learn their personality, routines, comfort level, and unique needs so they feel safe and understood while you’re away. I have experience with puppy training, high-energy dogs, senior pets, medication administration, and pets who may need a little extra patience or support. Evenings and weekends in our home often involve training sessions, enrichment activities, walks, and playtime, so incorporating your pet into our routine comes naturally. Whether your dog loves long walks, active play, or simply cuddling on the couch, I’m happy to meet them where they’re most comfortable. I also have experience as an assistant groomer with dogs, I did all the prep work up to the final cuts, including, bathes, nails, face, feet, sani/fanny. With Buster, I have always done all his grooming thus I have the most experience with poodles. If your interested in any type of grooming care for your pet while under my care please reach out! I'm also happy to work with nervous pets using fear-free and cooperative care methods. Safety is also extremely important to me. Pets in my care receive lots of supervision, affection, structure, and attention. I use baby gates and exercise pens to safely separate spaces when needed and prevent pets from getting into anything unsafe. We live on 1/2 acre property, and our yard is 3/4 permanently fenced. We use a portable fence across our driveway to make the entire back yard secure enclosed space for outdoor play. Because we do have coyotes and skunks in the area, outdoor safety is something I take seriously. Dogs are only allowed off-leash in the yard during supervised daytime play, and evening or nighttime potty breaks are always done on leash. I’ve been walking and caring for dogs professionally as a hobby for the past 10 years, and I genuinely love building trust with both pets and their people. Your fur baby will receive lots of love, attention, playtime, patience, and cuddles... always at their comfort level. I can’t wait to meet them!

Schedule

Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy, so it naturally fits into my daily routine. I’m home often and able to provide pets with consistent attention, including morning walks, midday check-ins, playtime, feeding schedules, and a calm evening routine. I’m also happy to follow any specific routines your pet is already comfortable with to help them feel safe and at ease. I’m currently finishing my Massage Therapy certification. My schedule through July 9th when I'll be out of the house is from these times: • Monday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM • Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM • Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM • Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM I’m fully home and available Friday through Sunday, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, cuddles, playtime, and quality care. My partner also works from home and can attend to basic needs while I'm out.

Safety, trust & environment

When I’m caring for pets, whether in my home or in a client’s, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment where they can relax and be themselves. I take the time to learn each pet’s individual needs, routines, body language, and comfort levels so they always feel secure and understood. In my home, pets are supervised, and given plenty of love, engagement, and structure. I maintain a clean, pet friendly space and make sure water, potty breaks, and playtime are always available. Safety is my top priority, so doors, leashes, and boundaries are always handled with extra care. When I’m in a client’s home, I respect your space and follow your pet’s established routines closely, from feeding schedules to exercise habits to any special instructions. I’m attentive to details, keep things tidy, and make sure your pet gets the same love and consistency they’re used to with you. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, happy, and comfortable, and for every owner to feel completely confident that their furbaby is in loving, reliable hands. (Because I know what it's like leaving my pup with a stranger.)

Pets

A typical day

A typical day with me is a perfect balance of fun, structure, and connection. We start our morning with a refreshing walk or potty break, followed by breakfast and a little quiet time to settle in. Throughout the day, I love keeping pets mentally and physically engaged, whether that’s a longer walk, yard play, fetch, tug, chase, puzzle toys, hide-and-seek with treats, or a few training refreshers. If your dog enjoys exploring, we may even go on fun sniffari adventures around the neighborhood or check out new walking paths. I tailor every activity to your pet’s personality and energy level. High energy pups might get longer walks, enrichment games, or extra play, while more laid back companions can enjoy slow sniff strolls, gentle play, sunbathing, or cuddle time. Afternoons may include training practice, puzzle toys, or simply relaxing together in a comfy spot. Evenings are for winding down with belly rubs, brushing, cozy cuddles, and a final potty break before bed. No matter the age or energy level, your furbaby will have a full day of love, engagement, and companionship. I am home most of the time, except for when I have class. * My class schedule changes each semester, please see Schedule for most up to date days/times* I always do my best to fulfill their day allowing them to be content to relax and nap around the time I would be gone.

I would like to know ahead of time if they are potty trained; where they like to sleep; and if they are scheduled or free feeders. If they have a walking schedule, how long are the walks (miles or time). Plus anything else you would like to share!
