Our 14 year old dog requires too much care to be left with family, but he was in great hands with Anne and Joaquin. They took the time to send us questions when he had issues and really cared for him. We came home to a happy dog!

Christopher is amazing, kind and sweet. We were very apprehensive of leaving our fur baby with anyone, but Christopher made us feel at ease immediately. He offered to do an initial meet and greet, he was patient with our pet until she warmed up to him. Transitions and meeting new people are difficult for our pet, but it didn’t take her very long to get acclimated with Chris and give him kisses/ licks. He responded promptly and sent updated pictures of our baby. He kept our home clean. He is very respectful and prompt.

About: I have had dogs all my life. Growing up our family had Boston terriers and German Shepherd. I grew up in Minnesota. My husband and I moved to Arizona in March after he retired from his job that he was at for 31 years. We are both still working. However I work from home so my schedule is very flexible. As you can see we have 3 dogs, we have two Mastiffs Kodak and Harlie Girl they are our gentle giants, crazy little clowns. Ok maybe not so little lol, Kodak is our talker and Harlie is our bulldozer. They see themselves has lap dogs, Neat story on why we named them, we got married in Kodak TN at Thunderhead Harley Davidson. Our sweet boy Ruger is a laid back man he too is a talker and loves to play ball. My husband had Ruger before we meet but he has become my boy also trust me if I move all 3 of them are up and going with me. They are my little pack. They are our family, our four legged children. ❤️❤️❤️❤️. My back ground just doesn’t stem from having animals. I have also worked in veterinary clinics and dog and cat boarding facilities and dog training facility. I work from home my schedule is flexible.I’m available everyday during the week. Our weekends we our out on our motorcycle. We belong to the CVMA I have a fenced in yard and three friendly dogs. They would love to meet new friends also. Have some play dates with other dogs

About: I have cared for dogs at all ages, from puppies to elders. I understand the importance of maintaining schedule/routine for the animal and making them as comfortable as possible. I am a student and attend school and clinical shifts but when I am not there, I am studying! I am not gone for very long on school days (M&Tue) and my clinical shifts are 8.5 hours (W&Thur). Other than that I am able to fully care and be available for pets! I prefer caring for pets in their home to make them more comfortable, I have pets myself and I always try to do that for them! I understand when their parents are away, it is important for them to be in their own place and be as comfortable as they can! I can adjust well to their needs and their schedules.

I will respect your wishes on how you prefer care. I work full time at Mesa La-Z-Boy. It’s an hour drive. I leave for work 8:45, and get home usually around 6:30-7 at the latest. Depending on what you’re looking for I can make myself available to you more. Anything I can do to take stress off your shoulders. We currently have 2 cats named Munchie and Honey, we’ve fostered many puppies and kittens over the years, house-sat and walked dogs for lots of families, and taken care of many animals in my time as a nanny. I have experience in administering medicine to sick animals as well :) I will be available full time! I’m very flexible as I work from home, so I could be home with the animals all day or available anytime for a walk :) I am the main caretaker, but my husband accompanies me as much as he’s available to with his work schedule. We will ensure your pets are loved and cared for in every way! We will administer walks, food, treats, and lots of pets - either in our home or in yours! I currently am working from home so I have an open schedule for walks, playtime, check-ins, or boarding! I hope to do more walks and check ins so I can fill my schedule :) My husband will also accompany me when his schedule allows. We are very gentle and caring with animals. We have a backyard and I am also happy to take the animals out on a walk or anywhere to get some playtime in. I love to play with toys and give treats!

ARIEL was so sweet and took the time to come meet me prior to watching my dogs. My dogs are like my kids so I take great care in choosing someone who I think they will love and they definitely loved her. She left my house better than it was when I left and I couldn’t have appreciated her more with how much time she spent with them.

About: We've been caring for pets since we were both about 5 years old, with Gary's grandparents owning a farm & ranch in Montana growing up. Karen's family bred poodles since she was born. We're good at training puppies, and adult dogs as well. We love playing fetch much of the day with our Tilly and will do what your pet loves as well! We've cared for HUGE birds, tiny birds, chickens, cats, dogs large and small, rabbits, cattle, horses and pigs. We have also administered various types of medicine and cared for different types of infections, teaching owners as well. We love to snuggle with them and give them lots of attention! I, Karen, am used to cooking holistic meals for our dog and will care for your pet according to your instructions as well. We enjoy walking them, swimming with them and petting them often. They deserve it! They rely on us for their WHOLE well-being. Consistency is so important for animals so we will respect and follow the plans you lay out for them. We can also gather mail, water plants, do housekeeping, organization, gardening and more. Gary is a great handyman should the need arise during a sit. He maintains our pool and irrigation systems and makes any repairs needed. We're truly a great team!❤️ This is our sole work so available most of the time! Of course it depends on the type of care you need and if it works along with another sit. For example, we could walk your dog daily and have an overnight sit that allows for a short leave for that. We are very attentive, loving and kind! Our goldendoodle Tilly is on a nice schedule for exercise, eating, supplements and only healthy treats. We keep her clean and always look her over for any wounds and whatnot. We keep a clean home with uplifting music for pets. Also, we're very cognizant of pet signals, like needing to go potty, play, snack, snuggle and wanting general attention. It's one of those things that you get blessed by for just BEING a blessing to them!💛

Robert was wonderful! He was on time, very kind and took special care with our elderly and blind dachshund. She needs extra attention on walks and outside around our pool, he was very patient and understanding with this. He provided photos and detailed updates on how she was doing. Our house was spotless and our dog was calm and content when we arrived back home. We will be booking Rob for future dates.

Anne and Joaquin have been watching our dogs for close to a decade now and they are the best. They take care of our dogs like their own, they leave our home better than they found it and they are the sweetest humans. We recently got a new dog and as she has adjusted to new people, Joaquin has gone out of his way to make sure that she is super comfortable with him. They are truly the best and you couldn’t ask for anyone better.

FAQs for House Sitting - Arizona City

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Arizona City on Rover is $29.97 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 520 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Arizona City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Arizona City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Arizona City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Arizona City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Arizona City. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
