About: I have over 6 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, from 6-week-old puppies and kittens to senior pets up to 13 years old. I’m also experienced in caring for pets with medical and mobility needs, including administering prescription medications and providing extra patience and support to pets who need specialized care. I am avaible to walk dogs, pet sit, or just do drops in. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities and always strive to make them feel safe, happy, and loved! I am an undergraduate student at UMass Amherst and I have plenty of flexibility between classes and throughout the week to care for pets. I’m available to stop by for visits, feedings, playtime, or medication, as well as take dogs out for walks and give them the attention and exercise they need. I’m happy to work around each pet’s routine and provide consistent, reliable care! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and at ease. I’m happy to provide feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and plenty of attention and companionship. I also make sure to keep their space clean and leave everything just as I found it. Most importantly, I treat every pet with the same patience, care, and love I would want for my own!
“Tanya is incredible!! She takes such good care of our dog Jewels! Just saying Tanya’s name in front of Jewels gets her tail wagging like crazy 🙂 Tanya is also responsive, sends wonderful information about their walks with cute pictures, and has helped me more than once when I had a question about how to manage things in the Rover app. We are very lucky to have her.”

About: I have loved dogs since I can remember—I used to read dog encyclopedias as a kid! My own dog and sidekick, Miguel, is a cute rescue with a pronounced underbite. He lives with my family far away, so I am excited to provide services (walking, dog sitting) for pets nearby! Over the summer, I am working remotely and thus have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I am never away from home for more than two hours at a time. All dogs who have stayed at my apartment have been treated as my own; no couch or bed is off limits! 3+ walks a day, and a dog park nearby!

“Catherine was perfect. She was a quick to respond and offered to come by for a meet and greet. My miniature poodle immediately adored her and she clearly has a way with animals. We scheduled 2 30min walk/hangs and she followed all my feeding instructions perfectly and even gave my dog some extra hang time. I am so lucky to have found a great reliable kind honest dog walker like Catherine!”

About: Hi I'm Alyssa! I've owned dogs, cats, rabbits, and fish all my life. I love to care for any and all animals when their owners are away because pets can get very anxious when home alone. I intend to relieve their anxiety and share a little love! I do have previous experience with walking multiple dogs in both urban and suburban residences as well as caring for multiple cat homes. I've also worked with all ages of pooches, everything from 2 months to 15 years old! I currently work part time overnights, so I am available for daytime drop-ins and overnight stays, as I would only be at work a couple days a week for a few hours. The safety of your pet(s) is of the utmost importance, including keeping the doors of your house securely closed, keeping your house clean, and focusing solely on your pet(s) during any outside time.
“Daniel was really sweet with our high energy lab. He took Ziggy off our hands amidst the chaos of moving day and brought him home happy and tired, which made such a difference for us! We are happy to be moved into the area now and will definitely use Daniel again.”

“Anna is super sweet and very communicative! She helped out walking my dog very last minute which I so appreciate. Would definitely recommend her and will absolutely be using her again in the future :)”

“Lovely, courteous, complimentary to our pup (who doesn't love a dogsitter that identifies and praises all our dog's best features?!?), and a really good sport hanging out with Calcifer on a muggy, hot, tick-filled day. Thanks!”

About: I've loved and cared for dogs for most of my life, and currently have a Chihuahua mix named Chico and a cat named Frankie. I'm a good-hearted and easygoing person excited to spend my free time with some lovable pooches! Chico is an 11-year-old rescue, who loves ice cream and burying himself in blankets. Frankie is a snoozy indoor cat, but loves playing with Chico occasionally. For all of my bookings, I like to provide lots of attention to each pet, and create a comfortable environment for them. I’ve had a ton of fun with the pets I've met so far, and I would love to meet some more furry friends and owners soon! I currently work from home full time in the healthcare industry. I am looking to offer sitting services in my free time, but can likely be flexible with my schedule. Safety for all pets is my biggest priority, whether they are my own or yours. I’m open to any information that would make your pets feel more comfortable, and would love to answer any questions during a meet and greet before a service.
About: I have had 2 dogs for over 10 years now just recently one past away losing that connection has made me want to be able to be there for other dog's like I am to my own. I have pet sit for family friends when they attend vacations or work events. I currently work part-time, so I am available in the early mornings and afternoons. I work nights on Mondays and Wednesday but are usually out by 9pm. I have a dog and 2 cats, So I am not sure how my dog would react to another dog living in her home. I do have a crate and a yard to walk on leash but no fence to free roam.
About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was a kid, and caring for them is something that comes naturally to me. I’m heading to UMass to study Animal Science and hope to join the National Guard to gain EOD bomb-sniffing dog experience. I currently own a high-energy Border Collie/Australian Kelpie mix I rescued, and I’ve also cared for an elderly Shih Tzu who needed lots of special attention and patience. I’m very work-oriented, reliable, and people have told me I’m great with customer service. Neighbors, friends, and family often count on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets, and I truly love every moment of it. As a full-time student, I’ve built a schedule that still gives me plenty of time for pet care. I’m available Mondays after 5 PM, Tuesdays and Thursdays after 12 PM, and Wednesdays after 4 PM. On weekends, my availability is more flexible, which means I can give pets the attention and exercise they need without feeling rushed. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they always feel safe and cared for. I’ve had experience with high-energy dogs as well as older pets who need more patience and special care. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or sticking to a feeding routine, I make sure to keep things consistent so pets feel comfortable. If I’m caring for pets in your home, I’ll respect your rules and routines to keep everything familiar and stress-free for them.
About: I have always had a deep love for animals and will treat your fur babes like they’re my own. I have experience pet sitting overnight and dog walking in various settings both professional and on my own via rover or for friends and family. I am also quite the photographer & will get all the best shots so you don’t miss your fur babies too much ! I have a very flexible schedule, I can provide early morning walks as well as afternoon and evening! I am available most weekends as well. I typically can offer 2-3 visits a day as needed! I am very courteous of any space I enter. Typically will knock before entering and ensure that everything is as I found it upon leaving. I also do look out for hazards upon arrival and will take care of anything I feel is potentially an immediate danger to the pets.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
